A SEAL's Devotion(book 7) is Anders's storyline and just might hold the honor of being one of my favorites in this series. Anders has 40 days to marry and when the young and passionate Eve steps into his life, the two cannot deny that there are some sparks. But Eve is on a mission and is using the show to launch an explosive bombshell. Are the SEALs ready for the drama? What happens when Anders reveals secrets of his own?

I really loved my female and male protagonists in this one and I liked the added mix that billionaire Fulsom wants to rev up his reality show ratings by bringing in a slimy character who turns all the character's stomachs. It's hard to walk away from a Cora Seton novel without smiling.

This is book seven of ten in this series and the series is definitely becoming boring and repetitive. In other words, it has "jumped the shark". The only reason I'm continuing is that the characters have been established throughout the series and I just want to see them get their HEAs.

Anders Olsen, former Navy SEAL, has been a staunch environmentalist from his teens, which wasn't easy with his family's background of making their wealth by raping the earth. Being filmed for a reality series with the nine other former SEALs trying to build a sustainable community, Base Camp, could lead to all kinds of problems if someone from his past should choose to out him. Now, it's his turn to choose a wife and get married.

Evelyn Wright has spent time in some of the most improvised places on the planet and she firmly believes that the only way for earth's survival is though sustainable living. After a serious injury, she is working a dead-end job when an image from a major oil company client showing them doing nasty things to the environment comes to her. Her boss tells her to ignore it, but this selfless crusader just can't. She takes the image and heads to Base Camp to get on national TV so she can expose this big oil company for the nasty profiteers they are.

Now, after being at Base Camp, seeing the work they are doing and forming friendships, Eve has to decide which is more important: her cause or the man she has fallen in love with.

In A SEAL's Devotion the seventh book in 'SEALs of Chance Creek, Anders Olsen drew the short stick and it is his turn to find a bride and get married in 40 days. What he doesn't expect is to find her walking in a snowstorm without a coat or boots and ready to collapse.

Evelyn Wright has an agenda to tell the world about an oil leak that is getting into the watershed for a Texas town that she see in her job as at a firm that does satellite images for business and governments.

This sets up the situation for the courtship of Eve and Anders, which comes with lots of surprises along the way; a secret hidden identity, a new pushy and uncouth produce, a kidnapping, attempted murder, a secret film presentation and lots more. Base Camp is never dull, too bad it isn't a real reality TV show.

WOW! Cora Seton sure has a way of reeling in her audience. I have had the distinct pleasure of reading all of her Chance Creek series so far, and with each new episode I read, I fall in love with the characters even more. Not only is the community enticing, it is strong and united, and each new character added, by way of a new wife as Eve is, their strength and love blossoms even more. She continually finds new ways to introduce the newest addition to the clan, and at the same time, raises the bar for the next. Not only does she meet the bar, but surpasses it each and every time. Her talent is unique and a wonderful gift to all of her readers.
In this episode, we watch as Anders feels the pressure of finding a bride. Not only does he want to find her himself, he wants to be able to share his entire life with her. But he has a huge secret. Will he find the right person and be able to keep her when he is forced to reveal his true identity?
Eve has discovered an environmentalists worst nightmare. When she brings it to the attention of her boss, she certainly doesn't expect to be reprimanded. How will she ever get this out? With the help of her best friend Melissa, and a night's worth of careful planning, they set out for Chance Creek, Montana, with sights set on getting Eve onto Base Camp, and hoping she can find a way to get the word out. What she never expected though, was to fall in love. Will these two ever manage to jump all of the hurdles thrown their way? Especially with a new twist when Fulsom throws a new director into the picture. Will Clem help or harm Boot Camp with his outlandish demands?
An awesome read that will keep you on your chairs' edge from page one to the end. Can't wait for the next one!
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.

This might be one of my favorites of the series. Anders Olsen wants so much to be a part of the Base Camp community not only because he believes he can make a real difference but also because he comes from a sordid past that, if word got out, could ruin his standing in the sustainable community. But, he's been devoted to the ideas from the beginning. loves caring for the herd of buffalo, and feels at home in the wide open spaces of the ranch. And, while some are opposed to the marriage and baby stipulation of the contract for the Base Camp reality television show, it's something he truly wants. Only he wants it with the right woman, someone who can love him and whom he can love.

Enter Eve Wright, a beautiful woman who appears at Base Camp under unusual circumstances. She's discovered something at her work, and she doesn't feel like she can keep it under wraps. She's always had a crush on Anders Olsen since Base Camp began airing several months ago. But when she shows up at the camp in less than favorable circumstances, will the information she carries ruin a budding relationship with the one man she finds herself falling for? Is it possible this information could bring down Base Camp and put everyone in danger?

I've wanted to see Anders Olsen get his chance from the moment we meet him earlier in the series. He just seems like such a nice, down to earth guy with a past he'd rather not deal with. And, it was exciting to see him finally have his chance at the life he truly wanted. This author has such a way of writing characters who I immediately want to befriend. I want to see them find their happily-ever-afters, and even with the twisted roads that take each of them there, I find myself full of hope for exactly that.

Passion

The community of people at Westfield Ranch are passionate, about their earth, their mission and each other. Each story told about these dedicated individuals has brought home more information on the need for change in our world, both physically and mentally. Base Camp is a reality TV series showing people they need to better address how to create an environmentally friendly future. This story of Eve and Anders relates the story of Base Camp metaphorically to their own. Rife with secrets, lies and hidden pasts their love story seems doomed from the start. However, the teamwork, loyalty and spirit of Base Camp and Chance Creek rise to the occasion in creative and positive ways. Not only do these folks try to protect the earth, they are very good at protecting each other. This book is fascinating with addressing environmental issues on a local level, and with the bigger picture, too. It also brings in the "me too" movement in a compelling way. This is a series of retired SEALS banding together for a better future, with intelligent, caring and talented women joining them to help meet the mission of bringing change to make the world a better place. This story is passionate, harrowing and redemptive. Love for life, family and our world shines through it every step of the way.

ARC for honest review with no compensation

Seal’s Devotion is book 7 in the SEALs of Chance Creek by Cora Seton and another great addition.

Anders Olsen is up next, the quiet one, has secrets that not one person knows about..but wants to find his bride on his own..little does he know that his bride comes with plenty of secrets of her own that could bring him and Base Camp down.

Eve Wright has watched Base Camp since the beginning and has a crush on Anders and being an environmentalist she needs to find a way to expose Hansen Oil for toxic spills and what better way then to go on national TV and spill...

Lies, secrets, tensions, twist, turns, see old friends and discovering the truth will this leave Anders and Eve with a HEA or completely destroy Base Camp??

A Chance At Love!!!

As we saw at the end of A SEAL'S RESOLVE , it was Anders Olsen turn to find a bride and get married. Once again Martin Fulsom, the founder of Base Camp came up with more demands. Just after their meeting ended, Anders and Curtis came across a woman walking in the snow. Anders caught her before she fainted.

Evelyn Wright saw something terrible happened to a man while on a trip to visit some clients of Altavista Imaging, the company she worked for. She was chased by the culprits but she found her way to Base Camp.

She knew that the men there would keep her safe especially the sexy as sin Anders Olsen. The latter understood what happened to her even before she'd uttered the words.

Both Anders and Evelyn had secrets that could hurt them if they ever came to light. When it eventually happened, they had to figure out what they wanted out of what was happening between them. The unexpected twists and turns were fascinating. Loved the camaraderie between the women, as well as the men. They had each other's backs, come what may.

A SEAL'S DEVOTION is the seventh installment in Cora Seton's SEAL'S OF CHANCE CREEK series. It was enthralling, intriguing and a must read. Two thumbs up!

Wow, what a ride. A SEAL's Devotion by Cora Seton is book seven in herSEALs of Chance Creek series. Every book, while somehow connected can be read as a standalone. Anyway, for best redaing experience I recommend to read the books in order. The previous books are A SEAL's Oath; A SEAL's Vow; A SEAL's Pledge; A SEAL's Content; A SEAL's Purpose and A SEAL's Resolve.
This is Anders and Evelyn's book.
Anders Olsen is the heir to an empire, but he left his family behind and became a Navy SEAL. Now he's back at Base Camp and member of a reality tv show.
Evelan White is an enviromentalist and what she finds at her job gives her nightmares. She has a plan and that includes her secrte crush Anders. Anders needs a bride, Evelyn needs publicity, bam match made in heaven. So she thinks, but nothing ever works like planned and they make a mess of things.
A SEAL's Devotion is an entertaining well written book. I loved meeting chracters from previous books and Anders and Eve arn't half bad either. 4,75 stars.

Anders Olsen finally pulled the short straw and he now has 40 days to find a bride and get married. When Eve Wright stumbles up the road, soaking wet, freezing and with a story about getting away from a bad boyfriend, Anders feels like his prayers may have been answered. We also have a new director at camp who is there to stir things up and piss off Renata. Renata even gets to be a bit more human in this one. Eve though has a secret reason for being at Base Camp and she is planning to do what must be done to achieve her goal. There are a lot of secrets in this one - Eve, but also the normally quiet hardworking Anders. I read through this book very quickly, not wanting to put is down. There was a lot of suspense, drama and building of sexual tension. Besides everyone at Base Camp, we also run into some other Chance Creek characters I love like Cab and Rose Johnson. An excellent read! Loved it!

Another fantastic addition to the SEAL's of Chance Creek series. With angsty characters and wildly creative plot Cora Seton has creatively woven a series we can't get enough of.

As his previous team members have done, Anders Olsen must marry within 40 days or his entire team will lose the sustainable community they have built. Determined to find his own match, Anders is immediately smitten with the half frozen women that collapses in his arms. He quickly realizes they have so much in common yet Anders harbors a secret identity that will surely destroy any chance he has with Eve.

Evelyn Wright's job is to create digital images taken from satellites for clients as proof that they are following environmental guidelines. When she happens upon images that are very concerning she must make some difficult decisions. Choices that could put her very life in danger, yet she can't turn her back on the truth. Her decision to involve her favorite reality show to expose Hanson Oil will require lies that could eventually tear her heart apart.

With plenty of heart pounding, fast-paced drama you won't want to put this book down.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

You need to cross your fingers for this latest story from Base Camp. A new director is on site, Anders must get married in 40 days and there is no sign of a bride. Easy enough to rectify? Maybe!
Eve has had a thing for Anders ever since she first saw him on television. Now fate has intervened, not only is she about to find herself on the set of base Camp, she is told the only way she can stay is if she agrees to consider becoming Anders wife. Things aren’t as easy as they seem, with both her and Anders hiding secrets from each other and the other residents, will this become catastrophic not just for Base camp but for their hearts as well? Like all the previous stories, I was once again drawn into the action and lives of every one at Base Camp and hoping that they will succeed. Captivated from the start, this is a gripping, tension filled story of trust, honour and love.

Fun story of Anders and Evelyn (“Eve”). They are both pro-environment and Eve learns a disturbing truth at work, but isn’t supposed to tell. Her friend suggests they get her to Basecamp where she can insert herself and get a national audience that will demand environmental clean-up. Everything seems to go to plan except her heart. She had watched the show before and was always most taken but Anders, but could she lose her heart to him and he to her? Could she get the exposure she needs or will it hurt/cancel Basecamp’s TV show? They are doing good things too. And then she questions her safety, even surrounded by so many former Navy Seal’s. This is a delightful story as things come together and then fall apart so horribly….makes you wonder will they get an HEA? Loved this book (no cliff hanger either)!

Another brilliant installment following the lives of those living in Base Camp.
This time it is Anders Olsen's turn to find a bride and Evelyn (Eve) Wright literally falls into his arms BUT they are both keeping secrets, how will this impact on any future they may have together.

Really interesting to see another side to Renata Ludlow, Base Camp's director who during this book is sidelined when Fulson brings in a controversial director into camp to try to spice things up a bit

Oh Ms Seaton you really left me hanging at the end of the book, a few issues I really want to find out about, hope it is not too long until the next book

Buy, read, enjoy your time in Chance Creek - wish I could move there!

Wow Cora Seton has done it again. I keep wondering if I will get bored of this series as I’ve now read 7 of the Seals of Chance Creek series. I certainly wasn’t bored. There is always a new angle with every new story to keep the activities at base camp fresh and exciting.

Each story has a HEA but still that is some cliff hanger at the end of this book. I’m so glad I’ve already preordered book 8.

Another great story!

This series just gets better and better! So much happening at Base Camp, with 6 of the men happily married its Anders turn, he wants to marry a woman of his own choosing and as he begins to panic Eve literally walks down the road to him. While their are some lies told, all for the greater good I must add, Anders and Eve fall in love and find a way to be true to themselves, Base Camp and their beliefs. I love how we see so many of the other couples, how they interact on Base Camp, they really are one big family, I also love all the little tidbits we are given for how the remaining 3 men will meet their loved! So looking forward to Greg! Did not see that coming! Such a wonderful series with more books to come, one happy reader here!

I have enjoyed reading this book as much, maybe a little more than the other six.

Anders Olsen drew the short straw and it appears that the lady he wants to be his wife has fell right into his lap and he is immediately smitten. That is if Eve Wright could be convinced to stay and marry him.

Anders and Eve both have a secret that gnaws at both of them. But the attraction between them is undeniable as they both have thoughts of what the other will do when they know the truth.

This book is filled with page after page of excitement as Anders and Eve get to know each other. Mysteries abound and there are a lot of twists and surprises. And more than one HEA.

And Anders has his story at last. The quiet SEAL has been a presence from the start, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only reader that was pleased he drew the short straw last time. Although Boone has a backup bride lined up, Eve crashes Base Camp. Pretending to be running from an abusive boyfriend, she is actually there for the publicity she’ll get, and she wants to use it to expose Hansen Oil as environmentally toxic. Meanwhile, delightful man that he is, Folsom has brought another director to the camp, a leering, lecherous man that’s trying to put Renata off her stride and who wants sex and scandal from the Base Camp residents. The book has twists and turns, the characters have more to hide than they had ever considered sharing, and, as always, it’s a dip back into the lives of the couples that have already married.

Anders has a secret that could cost him his place on Base Camp... Eve has stumbled on information that powerful men want to hide, could base camp be the way to blow the whistle? The show isn't impressing it's creator who sends in a new director to spice things up, if Fulsom wants spectacular he'll deliver it regardless of who gets hurt or how.

As always Cora Seton delivers a fast paced and engaging story. Furthering the environmental conversation in an intelligent but not pushy way, the characters emerge even more rounded than ever.

Anders finally gets his 40 day to shine and what a whirlwind time it turns out to be! Eve, for reasons of her own figures out a way to get to base camp so that she can fix a wrong that is happening.
There is a lot of twist and turns, lies and solid attraction all mixed up in the 7th. story from base camp. There is even more twists with the show! So buckle up, sit back and enjoy another adventure in sustainable living in the lives of these brave men and women.

Great

If you follow Cora you get the chance to fall in love with the characters and learn about the issues they are dealing with. The only problem I have with the books are that they have a conclusion. A great conclusion but still they end.
I follow most of her series so I am always waiting on the next book.
These characters move from one series to another so you have a lot of people to love.

A SEAL'S Devotion (SEALs of Chance Creek Book 7)

Another wonderful story of the men who live and work for a better future. Ander's life and She's life were entertaining. Keeping secrets from each other and the people at the Westfield Ranch, but holding true to their beliefs. This book was just as great as the others. Can't wait to read the next one.

5 stars is not enough!

I knew this book would be great! I had hoped it would be spectacular... It was so much more than that. I loved every word! Anders and Eve were so perfect for each other. I kept turning pages and it just kept getting better. I loved that there are even more extra characters being added and from the snippet of the next book more backstory than we would have guessed. Another homerun visit to Chance Creek! Can't wait for the next book!

This is a fabulous series with Anders the one seeking a bride. Eve is a passionate environmentalist who discovers Hanson Oil is causing lots of pollution. She needs to find a way to expose them and comes up with a plan involving Chance Creek.

As in previous books this is an extremely well written and entertaining story and one I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

Every one of Cora Seaton's books is amazing.

A SEAL's Devotion was just as awesome as every other book she has written.

It was wonderful to visit Chance Creek again and during winter to boot gotta love a romance in the snow.

Anders and Eve, what a couple, their story was full of lies, secrets, and subterfuge but in the proved love, at first sight, can actually happen and forever can be found even when you think the odds are against you.
