The Fae of Minnesota, The hell hound and his halfling
St Patrick did more than bring Christianity and drive the snakes out of Ireland, he waged a war against the Sidhe, as an unnatural abomination, an affront to God. The Black Castle was born to carry out his mission. While he didn't succeed, many left and settled in Minnesota along Lake Superior. A half a century ago, the Black Castle found them.

Five year later he lost his youngest brother, age 10, to them. Carmac made a vow, he would not return home until the took the life of a Black Castle for each of his family he lost. 50 year later, the sidhe are still dying, and he is still hunting.
Meghan Walsh, has been on her own since she turned 18 and left her Aunt and Uncle's house. She lost her parent when she was 5 and never had a real connection to her Aunt and Uncle. For the last 3 years she has wondered, looking for a place to belong, looking for a family. Her wondering has brought her to Minnesota, on her way to Canada.
Carmac finds Meghan in a fairy circle following the smell of blood. At first sight he thought she was one of the fae, then he realizes she is a Padraig, a human. Something about her calls to him. She just may be able to help him track down the Black Castle who are killing the sidhe in the area.
Things get complicated when Carmac realizes Meghan is his anamchara, his soul mate and she has ties to the Black Castle.
Fast paced and steamy. Great world building. Looking forward to Declan and Aiden's stories.
