STUTTERBOX is a touching tale of George, a boy who stutters and wants nothing more than to get over stuttering. Stuttering infuriates him. He accomplishes much more than that through his favorite sport: baseball. Coach Golden takes the mystery out of stuttering, showing George that speaking and hitting a baseball are very much alike. This is written especially for kids who can't accept stuttering and to whom stuttering is a torment because it prevents them from doing what they want to do and saying what they want to say.
