I did not tell her the truth about what I really am…

The circumstances surrounding our introduction are unimportant. The only thing that matters is that Sasha Wilcox is my mate and she belongs to me. A night of unbridled passion sealed the deal, but before I could tell her the truth, she was gone. Days have turned into weeks and there is no way I can be without her. I must find her and bring her back to me. No one will stand in my way, especially not the one man who thinks he can steal her from me, Stefan Miller.

I want him so badly, and I have no idea why...

The last thing I should be doing is thinking about Remi Moretti: the green-eyed Italian man who kidnapped me and held me hostage for three days in Tuscany. I want to say that I feared for my life while under his guard, but that would be a lie. The truth is, in a moment of… weakness, I gave my body to him. He set it on fire, but I escaped, and now I need to move on with my life with Stefan, a great guy, who will make a great boyfriend. But why do I crave Remi’s touch? Why do I smell his intoxicating essence every time I breathe? And why do I sense his presence, even though he’s in Italy, and I’m in Miami?

**READER ALERT**

Torn can be devoured as a standalone; but for maximum enjoyment, readers should consider reading The French Connection Series, (specifically Trois), in which they'll meet Sasha and Remi before their lovestory begins.

**READER ALERT**

This story contains extremely passionate and descriptive sex scenes. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18 years, or those who may be offended by somewhat graphic descriptions of sexual encounters. This story also contains scenes which include expletives. Brooklyn's characters exhibit real emotions and desires, and though she is their creator, she is also very sensitive to their needs and wants, and works in partnership with them to create their unique HEAs.

Torn... but put back together again...

This was my first time reading this author. Torn was more than I expected. You have Remi who’s on a mission to get his mate back. He travels across the world to get his little feisty flower, Sasha. Do you think he has a welcome committee when he arrives in Miami? Nope! Remi will not stop at anything or let anyone get in his way of getting Sasha and her love. Now I must go back and read the French Connection Series to see where all the how they became mates..

Dying for a conclusion

Love it, love it, love it! The only person being stubborn, and demanding do was Sasha. Remy just wanted her love. Now is there a conclusion, because Roman haven't met Vince yet. And I want Roman and Vince to have a happy ending. 💕 Can you make that happen soon?

When you run, your mate will always follow. I love paranormal reads and this one lived up to my expectations. I bought this back on 01/01/2020, but just got around to reading it. I am totally in love with the characters and I wish the book didn't end. I look forward to reading the other books that go with it. The book has a great plot, excellent character interaction and it flows very well. Pick this up today, I highly recommend it!

How does a billionaire boss love story turn into a paranormal shifter story? Well, you’ll just have to read this series. Author Brooklyn Knight incorporated several genres to get us this point, and hopefully there will be at least one more in the series.

Starting this series, I was gung-ho about reading a simple billionaire troupe. I had that in Oui. That turned into a jealous competitor trying to steal the girl, in Coup. Then, in Trois, it quickly turned into a kidnapping mafia story with a pregnancy bonus. That was unexpected, but I kept going, still liking what I was reading. Now, I’m reading about a sexy wolf shifter and still loving it. Who knew?

We got a glimpse of Remi, the sexy wolf shifter, in Trois when Stefan and Dylan went to Tuscany to save their women. Sasha was smitten with her capture and gave herself to him. Remi wasn’t all the way honest with her and never told her that he was a shifter. He warned her that she would never be with another once they coupled, but he neglected to tell her why. She simply thought his ego was at play. Then Stefan shows up and steals her away.

This book picks up where that left off. Poor Remi was in desperate need of having his mate. He had claimed her, and then Sasha left with Stefan. You can only imagine how much Remi hated Stefan. Never mind the fact that Remi had kidnapped Sasha, in the first place. After three agonizing weeks, he could no longer live with his mate, so Remi goes to America to claim his woman and bring her back.

Here’s where we see some supreme stalker skills from Remi. We meet a new character, who starts out as an Uber driver, but becomes so much more. Lust, Pride and Envy rear their ugly heads and it becomes a battle of wills between Remi, Sasha and Stefan. What happens next surprised me. I love when I can’t figure out the plot ahead of time! I want to make it clear that in Trois, I was totally #teamstefan. however, once I saw how Remi yearned for Sasha, I quickly got onboard the Remi train! Plus, Stefan showed his true colors and it wasn’t pretty.

Eventually we get a HEA and maybe even a foreshadow of what’s to come next. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I am quickly discovering that I am into shifters. Well, Remi at least. I fell for Remi and his little mind whispering. The man was sexy, good looking and only had eyes for his mate! Throw in the fact that he’s rich and has an Italian accent and LAWD!

The story was well written and the characters were greatly developed. Can’t wait to see what’s next from this talented author.

Now that I have had time to stew and think about this book, I realize that it was just 'ok'. I had problems with all characters and they were pretty dumb and just ridiculous.

I can't describe Sasha as anything but irritating. and possibly indecisive. The whole book was just flip-flopping between two feelings but in an extreme way. She was either ALL in or ALL out. Either she's your best friend/ally or she hates your guts and there is no telling who you will meet on a given day Pick a lane lady, your emotional flip flop is too much.

Remi was supposed to be a strong, manly dominant character, but it just kinda came off as him being bullheaded and dumb. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again with no change and expecting a different result, which is what he is doing. I'm not saying that characters that are "dominant" are inherently dumb, but if your leading woman isn't submissive, you are talking to a brick wall. Also, most of the problems stem from his bad communication, then it's just a flip flop between the two of them having horrible communication.

I should have probably read the other book before this one because I might have connected with the characters more and been more sympathetic toward them. For me, it felt like they shouldn't be together and they were only together for plot purposes if that makes sense.

An Alpha Wolf on a Mission in Miami

Brooklyn Knight has done it again! In Trois we were introduced to the bad boy alpha Remi Moretti. But that introduction was just the tip of the iceberg!
Remi Moretti is sexy as hell and just oozes an indescribable heat that sears your soul and encompasses you in his breathtaking animal magnetism! He’s a man that knows what he wants and he goes for it. He’s an alpha male through and through and he’s on a mission. With that European aura, Italian swag and a touch of naiveté, he takes Miami by storm. Leaving women melting in his wake; but he has eyes for only on woman, his mate, Sasha Wilcox.
Sasha Wilcox is tired of picking the wrong man. Why do they always want to tell her what to do and control her?! But maybe that’s going to change now that she’s back home, safe and has the attention of the man who rescued her, Stefan Miller. But she just can’t get the white hot sexy, green-eyed Italian god who held her captive out of her mind. He’s not just in her mind but he’s taken over her body; this craving for Remi has her confused and sexually frustrated and she doesn’t understand why.
Will Remi get his mate and will Sasha be able to quench this undeniable sexual desire for a man she just wants to forget? Well hold on because it’s going to be a bumpy ride with a few surprises in store before Remi’s and Sasha’s HEA!

Too hot to handle

I am not into paranormal IR novels/stories, but this has hooked me from the very beginning. With just the right pacing and very, very interesting plot, this book would make you want to read all of the author's other books. Inter-racial romance with intrigue is her specialty. Very well-written, it feels as if I'm into or immersed in the story myself. The passion and steam is too hot to handle (*wink - if you know what I mean). Great character development and world-building! Highly recommended read!

Very nice. A definite page turner

Loved it! I was for the characters every step of the way even though their relationship started from a kidnapping! Lol but the nature of the kidnapping, Remi couldn’t control his wolf and had to “take” Sasha, was a nice spin on it and that made me not hate him in the beginning lol. Roman is hella funny...total comic relief character. Would love to see how his story will pane out and maybe how things will be for Vince. More wolf tales please. New to reading books by this author and now I’m encouraged to read more of her works. This ☝🏾 was a good one.

Very exciting!

Remi would do anything to to get Sasha to re realize that they were connected and needed each other. Sasha fought him tooth and nail but she couldn't deny the attraction and pull that they had. Stefan tried to do everything in his power to get Sasha to be with him even going as far as putting Remi in a facility after he found out that Remi was a wolf. After all the tribulations that everyone goes through in this story everyone realizes that love will always win in the end. Very good story.

Blew me aaway!

First of all when Trois ended my heart ache for Remi.My surprise came when it was clicking that in order for him to hear Sasha from plane he had imprinted her with his heart his essence.
Heaven know Waiting was hard for part two if their story, but si worth it.
To have a love that deep, to have someone who is incomplete without being near that person so much so that they would die, it became so easy to get caught up in their love.
It's great story...Love Remi and Sasha!!!

This book is absolutely fantastic and I had so much fun reading it! It is a wild ride that is action-packed, sweet, steamy, suspenseful, witty, and funny. The characters are likeable though at times I screamed at them for their stubbornness; the chemistry between them is intense and potent; and the sex scenes are explosive! A well written, well-developed, fast pace page-turner guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. Great book!!

Loved it

I loved how Remi went to America to claim his Sasha. I wish the details of the kid napping of Sasha was included in the story, but you will have to use your imagination for that one. Remi was so miserable when Sasha was rescued and taken back to America. She was definitely head strong, but she was no match for Remi. Now that Remi has found his mate, we need to have a story about his brothers finding their mates. I had to skim past the sex scenes because they were pretty erotic (there is a disclosure) but all in all I loved this story.

I’d Cross the Sea For You!!

And that is exactly what the hero (Remi)and this story did. First he kidnapped her(Sasha) and then he cross the sea to get her back, he had to contend with another suitor, whom he quickly put in his place. He showed mercy in the in by letting the suitor(Stefan) live because the suitor, Who didn’t know anything about shifters after all end up finding his own mate(Cammy) in the end.

I think this was a nice end? To this story line or maybe a beginning?...Remi the alpha was too funny. The scenes with Roman was.great. Sasha is a tough independent human woman. I liked when they shared thoughts. I soundstage liked to know how the shut off the thoughts though. All in all a really satisfying story. I must say I have read everything this author has written she is that good.

I liked it!

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sasha and Remi. Well, when Sasha allowed the chemistry to happen. They could've had their happy ending a long time ago if Sasha and Stefan had moved out the way. Between her and Stefan, poor Remi really had his work cut out for him. But I understand Sasha's hesitation considering Remi had kidnapped her instead of wooing her in the beginning.

Truly good read

Truly enjoyed every moment of this read. The only thing that I wish is that we saw more interaction between Sasha and Laila seeing as though this is her best friend. I would've love to see a wedding between Remi and Sasha. Also the meet and greet between Vince and Roman. I was hoping that Sasha's sister would've met Vince and found her mate. More chapters could've been added, but in all...a truly good read

This read wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either, it was right in the middle. The reason this story wasn’t great for me was due to the storyline being jumpy, and certain ways the author worded things distracted me. The reason this wasn’t a bad book for me is because the author has talent and can write good characters it just wasn’t executed the best for me.

Why??

This review will contain spoilers.

The plot is a bit interesting. The shifter snatching his mate is not original, but I liked the fact that Sasha recognized this was abnormal behavior and didn't just go with the proverbial flow.

Stefan's character was dislikable the entire story. His interaction with the FMC was equally overbearing and aggressive, as the LMC; however, the H didn't make this correlation until around the 85% mark of the book. Stefan was also very verbally disrespectful and H just overlooked it.

Roman was hilarious and his character, brought levity and comedy to the story. But, the reveal of his relationship to Remi didn't feel.. right. All the bowing, scraping, whimpering, and for what? Just so Remi could strut his Alpha status? He helped Remi a few times at that point, more than Vince. For the only black male character to be placed in that position just felt wrong. But, his part at the ending was typical Roman, and hilarious.

Also, it seemed the Sasha only became romantically interested vs. sexually, after Remi saved her and Stefan's deceit was revealed. Before that point, she was willing to send him away and have an abortion, with no misgivings.

Her 180 was fickle and it didn't feel genuine.

Remi was determined, stalkerish, obsessed, but honest, caring, and genuinely loved the heroine. Unfortunately, his arrogance and complete lack of planning got him captured. Also, if he was as rich as they advised, why was he on a commercial flight?

Why was her friend taken, when they were abducted and what happened to make her friend so traumatized? No information was provided about it. The story painted Dylan and Stefan like the good guys initially, but you quickly discover that Stefan sucks. For Dylan to be so observant, he either was wrong about Stefan or didn't check him.

My rating would've been much higher, but around the 90% mark, Sasha took a turn down who did it and what for lane. She developed a ridiculously, juvenile plan.. that I thought was joke. As in, there was a punchline that would've been revealed regarding the rescue mission. Her request for a large gun she had no intention of using was asinine, screaming every 5 seconds like a damsel in distress, incapable of protecting herself or her unborn child, or the man she came to rescue.. even starting a fight she knew her pathetic tail couldn't win. It was cringe-worthy, sad.

I'm still confused as to why Roman didn't just shoot the gun, or the handler didn't shoot her during her many poor attempts to disengage the lock. What bad guys give you the courtesy of waiting and waiting, and.. you see where I'm going with this?

The author turned the H into baby, making grade school level rescue plans, using adult weapons, and then being unable of doing the bare minimum to protect herself or completing her own mission. She even rushed in to make out with Remi.. before getting him released, while having a gun trained on her, because "she briefly forgot where she was and was soo horny??" I forgot to mention sex crazed, but she was able to control it for the majority of the book, and only seemed to slip at the end.

It was annoying to get that far unto the book and then have the FMC be reduced to something so irredeemable and repugnant.

And, they just didn't care about the other wolves in the compound, huh? Or, the wolf that they put the blame on?

Why.. just.. why?

The plot was an oldie, but goodie. The characters were interesting in the beginning and Remi was initially too intense to not be trapped into the plot. I'll read more books by this author, and encourage others to read this book and give their reviews. My opinions are solely my own.. your review of the story might be entirely different.

Enjoy the world of the Italian wolf. Thanks for reading this review!

I like remi

The series with Laila & Dylan was so good, I liked Sasha character in those books. So it's disappointing that she is so insufferable in her own story. To spend 70% of the book dealing with her non-stop angst was boring. Remi being a shifter is the hook here but we don't get to delve into his world through Sasha's eyes because she's too busy having tantrums. There's a thin line between sassy & obnoxious. I like black women heroines with backbone & self respect so I wanted to like Sasha but she was exhausting. I don't read many fated mates stories because usually its a plot device designed to eliminate the need to tell an actual love story. So Sasha can be unlikable but remi gonna chase her anyway because it's fate. There's no romance but who needs it because it's fate. It leaves a lot to be desired. The ending should've been the middle so we can see this suppose "connection" instead of wasting time with that stephan subplot of nonsense.

It was a fun book the secondary character Roman was hilarious.
Sasha had a point, if a guy you just meet a few weeks ago in another country while on holidays comes to tell you drop everything and forget about your current life you now have a new one with me, sense and logic will tell you, first no and second run, this dude is bat s crazy, and in Sashas case and defense it was a kidnapping meet and greet. She had no idea what being a mate implies and she was protecting herself from the unknown.
Remi needed a shifter alpha chill pill and to explained Fiore better what the mate bond implied instead of all the "you are mine and you belong to me now, I cannot live without you" bulshit that sounded scary after one month, no social skills whatsoever, also understandable given where and how he grew up.
So, two opposites trying to make sense. Good thing they figured it out and had a HEA.

I never liked Stefan.

Enjoyable and refreshing

I enjoyed this book. I liked the world building, characters, and plot. There were times I did not want to put the story down. I felt there were a couple of places that could have used more detail, particularly surrounding the kidnapping of the main character and her best friend. I think this would have helped me understand why the act was even done. There was at least one unexpected twist. The characters' personalities worked well in this book. There were some minor editing issues as well. Overall, this book was a good choice. I am glad I took a chance on a "new to me author".

This is an adult read with two alpha main characters. 4.5 stars

I like this book

I had me off at the start but when i kept reading i got to where he kidnapped her and mated her. I did understand why she was upset but i didn't get why he didn't take the time to explain ti her what he was or what would happen to her when they mated. I mean he had her for what 3 days he could have talk to her an explain. But the wild ride was fun . i want to see his brothers own stories next. Thank you for this fun book.

He has held her captive for three days and they had sex, mind blowing sex but he did not tell her one thing, what he really was. She was taken from him and he was going to get her back. She thinks she will be better off with them but all she feel.is him. What is going on? Why does she still want him? See how they get on

Come to me....

I enjoyed reading about Remi and Sasha. I liked that Remi and his wolf were not always on the same page. I like that it took an effort to keep his beast in line. I found it strange that he was not apart of a pack.
Sasha was a firecracker till the end. I like that about her. I also enjoyed that she too control of her life and stopped everyone from trying to control her.

I would recommend this book to my friends to read.

I loved the story of Rem and iSasha. He was a dominant male wolf and she was a stubborn, feisty woman. With the both of them so stubborn made some sparks fly and the loving explosive. Sasha kept running and that made Remi chase her all the more because she was his mate and he was going to show her at any means. Their love was very intensive and strong. Glad he got his mate at the end and found a long lost brother in the end.

nothing can separate true mates

They met under intense circumstances. They mated but only one knew. She left and tried to get on with her life not knowing she was mated to a wolf. Being away from each other was tearing him apart. It was becoming harder for her to get over him.
Now that he is there to claim her fully she is torn between her life with him and without him. She finds out that life is worth it with him

I thought this book was just ok. I loved the Uber driver Roman, Remi and Vince. I also thought that the small plot of the government getting was interesting if not a tad predictable. I was not a fan of Sasha nor the lack of chemistry between her and Remi. I just didn’t believe that they were mates. She was so off putting to the point where I didn’t really care if they ended up together.
