Brandon Phillips is sick of his shallow existence. Sure he has money, and plenty of it, but that's part of the problem. How can he know that people like him for who he really is? Deciding to wander aimlessly where nobody knows him, he's hoping to find out what kind of man he really is. He's going to prove to himself he's not the spoiled rich kid he was raised to be. Jessie White loves music and it's now her job. As a blogger, she was often struggling to make ends meet, but after landing a permanent magazine gig, things were looking up. She'd saved every penny to go to the music festival in a small town a few hours away and she was going to make the most of it. Her interview with an up and coming singer was going to really put her on the map. When Brandon and Jessie bump into each other the night before the music festival starts, neither has any idea how their lives are going to change. There's an immediate spark between them, but will that be enough?
USA Today Bestselling author April Murdock loves romance, especially sweet stories that make you sigh out loud. She loves to write stories inspired by people in her life - past and present. She doesn't live on a ranch, but some of her favorite memories are visiting her cousins at their horse farm. And they've been helpful sharing information that sometimes shows up in her stories.
April has lived her whole life in the Southern US. Traveling is a great love, but coming home to Georgia where her heart is makes her happy.
I just couldn't get into this story at all. I didn't care for Brandon who seemed more like a doormat than anything else. Jessie was good though. The rest of the story was just weird...not the music festival, as I have read other books centered around them, but the part with the band. I found myself skimming/skipping a lot of it just to get to the end.
In The Aimless Billionaire, Brandon decides he will go to a music festival before settling into the life his parents want for him in the family business. At the festival he meets Jessie who is there to interview a band for her blog and for a magazine. The characters are well written. This is a sweet romance where two peoples lives are changed by their adventures at this music festival.
Sweet and clean romance. The storyline was good and you will call in love with the main characters. Better editing needs to be done due to typos and at beginning of book he closes his bedroom door and locks it but them his mother just opens door.
Brandon is bored, listless as a rich young man. He feels misunderstood & lonely. He embarks on a trip to "find himself" before fully surrendering to working for his father. While at the music festival, he meets Jessie, and is charmed immediately by her. The attraction goes both ways, but Brandon is afraid of revealing his full identity, while Jessie is afraid of what would happen after the festival is over.
Jessie & Brandon's story is cute. I loved the way that they built their friendship. I also liked that Brandon didn't try to overrun her decisions, or make her feel inferior in any way.
I enjoyed the narration. Christy Lynn did a great job with the different POVs.
I recommend this book.
I reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook.
What a fun story for two people to meet at a music festival and fall in love so quickly. The description of the characters, scenery, buildings, and their romance might have been over kill but I enjoyed it and could picture the story as it unfolded.
I real enjoy how the author brought out the story of how love could start by looking for relationship in situation of meeting g through family it brought out how thing can happen.
I liked the setting, at a music festival. That was unique. Interesting storyline. But it took a bit to get adjusted to the first person present tense narrative. I liked Brandon but I felt like there was not enough back story for Jessie.
Short, clean and enjoyed it. However, whoever was in charge of proofreading failed lol. Lots of misspelled words and references different (ex ten garage garage and two chapters later it’s a 15 car garage lol).
I enjoyed listening to this audio book. It's a sweet read about a billionaire and a woman just about making it in the world. They meet at a festival and click. It's a clean read, so no sexiness, but I liked these two together.
Good concept and well presented characters and execution. Just didn't quite " grab" me. Liked the fun interchanges between the two characters. Liked that Zach got "clean".
Brandon and Jessie had me on a rollercoaster of emotions since the beginning. Surely, everything was worth it as they reached their dreamed HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook
sweet romance with interesting characters. Loved that Brandon didn't want to keep living as a spoiled rich kid and was looking for a woman who wouldn't be as shallow as most of the girls he had met. He and Jessie met at a music festival and clicked from the start.
This author writes a little different then most of the ones i read regularly . I enjoy the stories, and the endings. I really liked getting to know the characters.
I'm trying to decide if I liked this book out not. It didn't seem real to me. The characters weren't as lovable as I would have liked them to be. The story seemed forever at times and everything ended up perfectly way to easy.
