This was a whole lot of meh for me. The security firm aspect focused on the five owners, so not the grunts who actually had any experience. I was disappointed in this angle of storytelling. This set did not have the romantic heat that Rook did and I was totally disappointed by that.
Book 1 - Jason and Emmy. It was a solid story, but I just never felt any chemistry between them.
Book 2 - Cole and Stella. It took me a while to warm up to Stella, but I eventually got there. Better chemistry between characters, but still not a lot of daring do, ya know?
Book 3 - Lena and Shep. Lena was my least favorite character. She came off as bitchy to Cole in all of their interactions, not sibling-like teasing as the author described . I did like Shep for her, but his family was rough. The drama seemed kind of extreme for the book so far.
Book 4 - Ben and Teagan. I liked the story of this one. But Ben need to find a backbone. Teagan pulled a TSTL move that almost had me throwing my kindle, but of course, it all worked out.
Book 5 - Drew and Gwen. Drew was an ass. “I only do first dates.” What? Why even bother? And Gwen. She was fine, but I couldn’t really ever get into her character. I am glad the mystery was cleared up, but they are way more forgiving than I would be.
All in all, I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it and I’m bummed that I didn’t get more feels from this one.
I'm gonna be honest... These are good stories, with the bonus of not being so tired together that you have to read them in any order of straight through. You can take your time. They are very full stories, and that's good... Except that it also dragged in places and that interrupted the flow. (That's the missing star) The heat level is not low middle with some topics that are spicer than any actual sex scenes. A few little errors scattered throughout. I recommended it, just understand that you may want to step away for a few minutes rest between books.
The title is Parker Security but the stories have less to do about security and more one on one encapsulated story. The first book was about a DJ who disappeared while the team was providing security. The security team didn't even bother to find her! So anticlimactic.
The second book, I didn't even finish. The writing wasn't engaging and I didn't care about either main character. And what was the point of everyone wanting to go to Ibiza?
I read everything I can of Camilla Blake's. Love the characters and the heat and fun dialogue. Only complaint would be a better editing team. I find that the wrong character names are used frequently in your stories. It is disconcerting, but I know the story so can adjust in my head. Keep 'em coming!
This was an interesting box set . Each story was unique. Some of the characters in the box set were very selfish and caused a lot of drama. The last book, the character Drew I didn't understand. It was never explained why he chose to only go on first dates and not sleep with anyone.
I found this collection somewhat repetitive man meets woman some trouble hits along the way but all ends in a happy ending. Each story followed a fairly predictable format perhaps only Drew and Gwen's story was a little different. The series was an okay read but each book dragged at times.
A security team who are not related by blood but are still a family. Each book features all the characters but each book is based on one member of the team. Another brilliant read from CB.
These boojs are good reads and are different enough yo keep you interested. Thw books have good charactets and enough mystery to keep you going. Sit back and enjoy
Stories of 5 men who worked on Security how they found their loves. Romance and intrigue with each of the stories having a different story line and happy ending
Good series. Everything from disappearing famous DJ to a professional cyclist who had terrible accident and getting death threats to a runaway from a cult that finds a diary linking the owner of Parker Security to his long lost sister. HEA.
While some of this book was a little out there, the end result is a great series that will take you on several twists and turns with characters you feel like you know and delicious fairytale like endings. Awesome read! Enjoy!!!
I did enjoy this set of books...I read to be entertained, and this particular author informed in a very subtle way as well. Knowing very little about the security business, I got just a small glimpse into why people seek security.
I wasn’t sure about this series at first, but I kept reading and it got so much better. There were some unique stories that I had not read before. I enjoyed the series, and I really like this author.
What a way to end my summer break. Mystery, romance, murder, excitement exuding from each and every aspect. I really loved how perfectly balanced the overlap of each story there was with the grand finale.
The stories got better the more you read and the characters are so well developed and the chemistry is off the charts. If you only get one series this year you should really consider this one.
Some of the stories were better than others. I did like the last one. Most of the stories, the couples they have great chemistry between them. I did like the security company. Parker Security. The Team was great it was like a family. The story has a HEA
