Did you know that you have your own special flower? Gem? Fragrance? Do you know your lucky numbers? The name of your guardian angel? The best day of the week to ask for a raise?
World-renowned psychic Judith Turner does, and she reveals them to you. Combining astrology, psychology, and extrasensory insight, The Hidden World of Birthdays gives you the keys to unlock the power of your personality. Each person has qualities that are all his or her own, and each day is as special as the person born on it. In The Hidden World of Birthdays you will find information on:
Gems: The jewels and precious stones that will bring you luck, power, and encouragement. Colors: The hues and shades that give you charm and charisma when you wear them; the colors you should always have somewhere around you; the colors that will enhance your confidence and calm you when you are troubled. What's Lucky: Discover your lucky numbers, months, day of the week, and days of the month. There's a lucky charm just for you, and you'll find out the most harmonious astrological signs for partnerships and relationships. Spiritual Guides: Your star, your angel, your guardian angel, and your spiritual stone can be powerful tools in managing your spiritual life.
And there's more, including a very special section for each birthday called "Judith's Insight," which will help you in making the best life choices and shows you not just who you are, but who you are capable of becoming.
This book cracks me up so I read a little of it when I need a laugh. My flower is actually a lichen and this is accurate (LOL) as I have chemical sensitivity and lichen can only grow where the air and environment are clean and not contaminated with toxic chemicals. There are other wild things that are completely different from all the traditional thought.
Not really a book on Astrology, though it does bring up the signs somewhat, as much as it designates descriptions on every day of the year. I found this book to be a sort of joke at first, but most of the articles on the birthdays were just accurate enough to leave me wondering if this was believable or not. However, I still don't take this book seriously as it lacks substance.
If you love The Secret Language of Birthdays (and other personology books), keep looking. I checked this out from the library, and although it was mildly entertaining, it's just fluff. The author is a psychic, not an astrologer. The descriptions are vague, and the remedies are silly.
Compared to other, similar works on astrology, numerology, and related topics this is book was very underwhelming. To me many assignments of “lucky things” felt arbitrary. To be such a long and dense-looking book it had little to no explanation (telling me isn’t enough, I want to know why jade is assigned to one and moonstone another. To the authors credit (at least for individuals I know whose birthdays I looked up) the psychic’s insight was the most helpful but - yet still felt like it was missing something. For a book with this much packed in to deliver so little I was disappointed.
I got this book for entertainment and got my chuckles here and there. The information provided for each day should have been longer in my opinion and would have made the book better.
