Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is charged with tension as they navigate this new environment as bodyguards. Along his journey, he encounters a diverse cast of characters, including resilient women who exude strength and empathy, showcasing their remarkable tenacity in the face of adversity.

I am loving this series, and the characters are sexy in this series. It's Insta-love, but still a good read.

Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is the twelfth exciting tale of loyalty and courage, and looming threats jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. This story not only highlights the fierce devotion of its alpha heroes but also emphasises the importance of connection and resilience against a backdrop of uncertainty and danger.

Lots of great comments. I don't consider it a 4-star read but I wasn't disappointed with the feel-good vibe and the wee bit of humour. New age cowboy hero who has a scene galloping full speed on his steed to rescue the heroine, cute and well written with easy visualization. It also piqued my interest in continuing with the series because of the secondary characters.

Cheers

recensione a cura del blog “Libri Magnetici" by Emily

When I hear the term "mail-order-bride" I immediately think of the historical Wild West and women making a long journey across the USA to meet and marry the man who placed the mail-order bride advertisement. This modern version of mail-order-bride captures the same spirit and determination of those in the Wild West of old and adds mystery and suspense to this particular tale which makes Montana SEAL's Mail-Order-Bride by Elle James a delightful read. Gavin Blackstock is a former Navy SEAL who lost part of his leg to an IED explosion who believes no woman would want to marry him and start a family. His friend Lori Mize, who also lost a leg in the military, doesn't believe that and signs Gavin up on a mail-order-bride site. This brings Princess Olivia Aurelia St. George to Montana to marry Gavin in order to serve her country as Queen after the death of her parents and brother. In Lastovia the requirement for her to rule is to marry and have a heir by the age of thirty and that birthday is quickly approaching. Two fiances have died suspicious "accidental" deaths and Aurelia decides to take desparate measures in the hope of fulfilling the country's requirement without further mishap.

Elle James Brotherhood Protector series stories always have a unique storyline and I really enjoyed this mail-order-bride one. The main characters are well-developed and fun to get to know. Getting to read more about familiar characters from past books in the series is a bonus and I look forward to more stories in this series.

Gavin Blackstock, a former Navy Seal, is restless. He loves working with horses on the ranch, but is unsatisfied with his personal life. He wants what several of his friends have found...love, family, and children. While he truly believes no one could love an “incomplete” man, he still dreams of a happily ever after. Gavin has found once women find out he’s missing a leg, they lose interest. So his friend, Lori, posts an ad seeking a mail order bride on his behalf.

Princess Olivia St. George of Lastovia is in desperate need of a husband. In order to become Queen, Olivia (Aurelia), must marry and produce an heir by the age of thirty...She has less than a year. Every time she becomes engaged, her fiancés die “unexpectedly”. Going by the name Aurelia, she responds to Gavin’s ad and heads to Montana. She doesn’t really believe this will be her HEA, but hopes Gavin will provide her with an heir.

This is my first Mail Order Bride, insta-love novel and I LOVED it! Gavin and Aurelia were a perfect match! After losing his leg in combat, Gavin felt unworthy of love. Aurelia saw the real Gavin and accepted him for who he was. Gavin provided Aurelia with a sense of safety, belonging, and family that she had been missing since the unexpected deaths of her family. At the ranch, Aurelia was free to enjoy activities, horses, etc that she no longer made time for in Lastovia. The sniper and suspense had me on edge! I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for Lori! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is the twelfth book in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James.
Gavin Blackstock thought he would be a career SEAL, but that didn't happen when his last mission left him missing part of one leg. Now at the age 35 and living on the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch in Montana he is feeling like he is missing out on falling in love and someday having a family. When one of the other residents puts his application online looking for a mail-order bride, Gavin is really surprised when women actually respond to it.
Olivia Aurelia St. George has to find a husband and produce an heir by her 30th birthday, but both of her fiances have died before they had been able to marry. Olivia, her best friend and her bodyguard all believe that her life is in danger also and think she should go away until things settle down. The only problem is she also must find a husband so when her friend finds the add for a mail-order bride online they all believe it is the perfect plan.
Gavin and Olivia realize they are attracted to each other right away, but if they are to marry they want to like each other also so spending time getting to know one another is important. Olivia however feels that their marriage should at least be based on trust, if not love and starts to feel guilty about not telling Gavin the truth. When she finally does it might be too late because the danger has found her in Montana.

I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Gavin Blackstock lost his leg on a mission during his stint as a Navy SEAL. He is now working on his good friend Hannah's rehabilitation ranch for animals and wounded veterans. He loves what he does but he is lonely. He wants a wife and children but who will accept half a man?

Princess Olivia Aurelia St. George has lost two fiances already and she needs to marry and have a child before her 30th birthday. She doesn't have much time. What is a princess to do?

Gavin's friend Lori makes a profile for him on a Mail Order bride website and on the other side of the world Princess Olivia's best friend Lilli finds that same website. She shows the Princess Gavin's picture and profile and Olivia responds seeing this as her only way to save her place on the throne.

She goes to Montana to meet Gavin and doesn't let on the real reason she is there. Love finds a way through bullets and abused horses as she and Gavin get closer. Princess Olivia is not what she seems and when the truth comes out what happens next is a whirlwind.

This was a fun fast paced book. Gavin doesn't think he has anything to offer a beautiful woman like Aurelia. He doesn't see his worth. She in turn is afraid to tell him the truth, afraid he won't marry her because she is using him, at least at first. Both are strong and sexy and well matched if only they could see that.

Good But...

This was a fun story and quite different from the usual Brotherhood Protector books with a bit of fairy tale princess thrown in. We finally get Gavin's HEA. However, can we talk about the sudden total change with his character? What happened? Did Ms. James forget that Gavin was Marine? He was introduced as a Marine when we met Hannah. He was her childhood friend who joined the Marine Corps and was injured in Iraq, but now he's a Navy SEAL like almoat every other character except for the few Deltas. He also was the one in charge of rehabbing the horses but now that's Percy, and Gavin is what? Just another patient/client of the ranch? No. And then there's the timeline. Taz & Hannah aren't married in this but ***SPOILER ALERT*** Hannah is likely pregnant. Um. What? They got married a couple of books back when Viper arrived on scene and Chuck was driving their honeymoon limo. So, is this going back in time to before that point or a timeline mistake? Super curious.

The story is written in Ms. James's usual likeable style and I enjoyed the story. I would have liked to see the puzzle behind the murders fleshed out more but it was also obvious whodunnit, so it wasn't totally necessary. I am super curious about Collin and Lori tho. I hated to give this two stars but consistency and timeline wreaked havoc for me.

Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is the twelfth book in The Brotherhood Protectors Series by Elle James. This series is a great blend of romance, action, and suspense - which is all set against the rugged backdrop of Montana. These books introduce us to a team of former military heroes who dedicate their lives to protecting others, all while navigating their own personal battles.
Ms. James’ characters are definitely the heart of this series, and each protector is uniquely crafted, with a mix of strength, vulnerability, and charm. Their camaraderie and loyalty to one another also creates a sense of family that adds an extra element to the stories/series.
These plots are fast-paced and packed with twists, cleverly blending high-stakes danger with heartfelt romance. Whether it's a SEAL turned cowboy, or a sniper finding love amidst chaos, each book delivers a satisfying mix of adrenaline and emotion. Elle James also weaves in themes of redemption, trust, and healing, making the series not just entertaining, but also heartfelt.
With gripping storylines, endearing characters, and just the right amount of heat, this is a series that will leave you eagerly reaching for the next installment.
Happy Reading…

Elle James just continues to impress! Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is another fantastic story with a cast of characters that is stellar. Ms. James once again delivers a well-written book that's fun to read but at the same time reminds us we have heroes to be thankful for. Gavin is a former SEAL working at Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch. He's "one leg short of a pair" and believes no woman would want to marry him because of his missing leg. Olivia is a princess of a small country. After two engagements end in death before the wedding she knows someone is trying to stop her from inheriting the title. Olivia and Gavin's story is loaded with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. This book held me captive from start to finish and I can't wait for my next book by Elle James. Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is book 12 of the Brotherhood Protectors Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Prolific Works. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Gavin and Olivia both have their reasons for looking online for a wife/husband. Gavin is an ex-Seal, who lost his leg in combat, and he believes no woman will want him because he's not a whole man. Olivia has a birth right to fulfill and someone is determined to stop her so she does what any desperate princess would do - she disappears to marry a total stranger! While both wary, the chemistry between Gavin and Olivia is palpable - leading to some steamy moments! Once Gavin finds out the truth and knows what he's up against, he has to choose between honoring his commitment to marry Olivia or backing out.
Once again, Elle James weaves an exciting tale with love, passion and action. The supporting characters are so funny but also so endearing that you can't help but love them. I hope Lori gets a story one day too!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I just wish it had been a bit longer with more time shown of Gavin and Olivia falling for each other - I like to see the relationship grow, I'm greedy like that. But that does not detract from the book at all and I highly recommend you read it!
I received an ARC of this book and I willingly submit this honest review.

This story starts with two people who don't think they will ever find the true happiness they desire.
Gavin is a former Navy Seal who has lost a leg in combat and is now working at the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch. He's sure no woman will truly want him with only one leg. Olivia St George is the princess of Lastovia and next in line to take the throne. She knows most men are not going to truly love her but only want her for the throne.
When Gavin is talked into placing an online ad for a mail-order bride Olivia answers thinking it may just fit exactly her requirements. She needs to be married and have an heir in the next ten months to take her throne.
As the day arrives for them to meet in person they are drawn to each other, but trust each other may take a little longer to happen especially with Olivia keeping a big secret that just might get Gavin killed.
I enjoyed the story and getting acquainted with the other guest at the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch along with the animals they save. Good afternoon read with a little intrigue.

Medically discharged decorated SEAL Gavin Blackstock hasn’t adjusted nto losing his leg in an IED explosion and so far the women in Montana aren’t impressed by it. And he’s not sure he can cut it with Hank Patterson’s Brotherhood but he’s happy working at the rehab ranch. One of Gaviin’s co-workers decides he’s lonely and puts his profile online. In no time he’s gotten plenty of responses.

Princess Aurelia St. George of a tiny European county was unprepared to rule when her parents and older brother were killed in an auto accident two years ago. Before she can be coronated, she has to be 30, married and have a child and she’s down to the last 11 months. If she’s not elevated to Queen, ruling falls to her odious cousin. She’s had two fiancés who’ve died under suspicious circumstances, Aurelia decides an internet spouse would work just as well and answers Gavin’s ad. Things progress between them and they like each other. But before Aurela tells Gavin the truth, she’s on TV as a kidnap victim. She comes clean just as someone shoots at Gavin/

Gavin Blackstock sees no way a woman would want to settle down and start a family with him now. Even when his friend signs him up for a mail-order-bride, he’s doubtful it’ll succeed. Princess Olivia (Aurelia) needs a husband and a baby if she hopes to keep her family’s legacy, but someone’s taking drastic steps to ensure that doesn’t happen. Being a mail-order-bride may be her only answer and her last chance.

This is an engaging tale with charming characters and an intriguing storyline. It’s apparent from the first that Gavin and Aurelia are meant for each other. Their attraction is immediate, and their chemistry is strong. Although it may be obvious they’re meant for each other, Aurelia has secrets that could mean their end in more ways than one. She didn’t leave the danger behind, and as the threats increase it could really be their end. I recommend this fast-paced, entertaining and appealing addition to this wonderful series!

Another military book this one is about military man Gavin he was discharged after losing part of his leg and now he wants a wife and family but thinks he can’t have it because of his disability until one of his friends signs him up for a mail order bride.

Aurelia is a princess she needs a husband and child to get her throne but each attempt at marriage her grooms are murdered she is seriously running out of hope. Until her friend also signs her up after she sees Gavin’s profile.

Gavin and Aurelia almost have an instant attraction. Gavin doesn’t know his future wife is a princess and is in Montana also to hid from the threat. This story just holds your attention. Things start to get crazy at one moment and him being an amputee he did not let that hold him back from protecting Aurelia.

A princess and a cowboy if they can get over the threat to Aurelia’s life maybe that have a chance at happily ever after.

Not Happy

Gavin and Aurelia story....My honest opinion is that Gavin deserved a better story than this. I had been looking forward to Gavin's story for some time now. Ever since we meet him in Taz and Hannah's story. It is almost as if the author got tired and rushed everything at the 75% mark. This is very disappointing. There was also an error in the story about how he knew Hannah. This is now the 12th book in the series. I have invested a lot of time and money in this series. As an honest reader, it really needs to be said that if we give our all to be vested n these series, then the author should do her best to give fulfilling stories that are complete and not rushed. Gavin deserved better

This is the twelfth book in the Brotherhood Protector Series but each book in this series is a stand alone book. This is Gavin and Aurelia's story. Gavin wants a family, so his friend, Lori, helps him sign up for a mail-order bride. Aurelia is the princess of Lastovia and must marry and have a baby before she turns 30. Since she has had 2 fiances killed, she looks at the mail-order bride website and sees a picture of Gavin. She contacts him and this is their story. This book has romance, suspense and action. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review and I loved it. I recommend it to everyone.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.

This was a wonderful story. I adore the Brotherhood Protector stories. This is a great addition to the series. This is a quick read that was done in one sitting. This was full of suspense that kept me turning the pages and glued to my e-reader. The scenes played out like a movie. The two main protagonists were ones that were easy to cheer for. They were so perfect for each other.

This was written in my favorite dual POVs format. Reading their thoughts helped to clarify what each of them were going through. I just hated to see the story coming to an end. I highly recommend this to anyone!

Montana Seal’s Mail Order Bride is book 12 in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James and another great addition to the series.

Gavin Blackstock, a former Navy Seal who lost his leg defending his country feels he also lost his chance at a normal life with a wife and kids because who would want a man with only one leg...so he decides to sign up for a mail order bride. Little does he know that when his mail order bride, Aurelia shows up there’s more to her than meets the eye!,

Suspense, sparks fly, lots of action, a princess and finding their HEA!!

Gavin's turn!

Why was Gavin's reason for being at BDRC described as him finding out about the center from his therapist? Then later he told potential bride that he and Hannah had grown up together there. Also the fact that Hannah is pregnant before she was married? Even if these books are read out of order; wouldn't the readers remember that when the read the book where Hannah and Taz get married? Or wouldn't it have been mention when Hannah and Taz almost died in an accident on thei way to their honeymoon?
No mention of an editor for this book, but I am sure you still have your Beta readers.

Montana SEAL's Mail Order Bride- Book 12

Another fantastic book in the Brotherhood Protectors series with Gavin and Lori putting his profile on a mail order bride site. As it turns out he meets the love of his life and agreed to marry her so she can fulfill the obligations of her kingdom to be pregnant and married before her thirtieth birthday. It was exciting as someone was out to kill Gavin and Olivia to stop that from happening. The Brotherhood and Gavin caught the assassin who had also killed her parents, brother and two fiances. They got their happily ever after and ruled her kingdom with their baby girl by their side. A really exciting love story

Aurelia is a princess and in order to be the queen, she has to marry and have an heir before her 30th birthday. She lost her parents, brother and 2 fiances already. She answers an ad for a mail order bride.
Gavin thinks just because he lost a leg, he will never find a woman whi will want to be with him. Lori sets him up on a Mail order bride website. He is about to meet the woman he picked.
Aurelia knows she needs to tell Gavin the truth. While they are out, they are shot at. Now is as good if a time as any.
Once Gavin knows the truth, will he still go through with it? Will they find the person who shot at them and get some answers?

Mail order bride story.

Aurelia and Gavin. One is a princess from a small European country who needs to marry and have a child in just less than a year. The other is a Navy Seal who doesn’t see his worth because he only has one full leg. Each of them has a friend who enrolls them in a mail order bride website.

One has a big secret. Her cousin will be king is she doesn’t marry and have a baby and he will bankrupt her country before a year is out. Or is it the cowboy who doesn’t see his worth?

This is fast read, no real angst to slow the story down. Totally unrealistic but a fun read.

Beautiful story of a physically impaired veteran and a Princess

Gavin and Aurelia meet through a mail order service and are instantly have a connection. She, also, brings along her body guard although he has a minute r role in the story. She meets a physically abused horse which she is able to calm down and a friendship is formed. After a sniper tries to kill Gavin and Aurelia, a wedding is put together in less than a day. Gavin, then, is able to get the sniper and find out that her Cousin Rupert is responsible for the deaths of her parent, brother, and her former fiancés.

Wild horses won't stop me!

I am so glad Gavin finally gets his book and his HEA and the fact she is a princess....perfect!
He is rough, grumpy and convinced he is no longer a complete man with anything to offer a woman, so he hides on the ranch, talking to his horses. She is a princess fighting for her kingdom, she falls instantly for Gavin but will she fight as hard for her man, their love, as she does for her country? Lots of emotional baggage, secrets and corruption to fight in this one but Gavin rises to the challenge and rides in like a white knight to sweep you off your feet.

This is book 12 in the Brotherhood Protectors series and it features Gavin and Aurelia. This was not a match made in heaven but more like a match made on the Internet on a mail-order bride website. This action packed, sweet romance has a little steam and a lot of fantastic characters. Mail-order brides are from way back in the western horse and buggy days but this fabulous author has made it into a modern day romance.

I curled up on the couch and read this in one sitting. A modern version of mail order brides, online... they can come from anywhere in the world. A princess and a cowboy/SEAL, are they a perfect match? He's lost a leg and his confidence and she has her own reasons for getting married. Someone wants to stop this union going ahead. There was humour, action and sweet loving, all in all an entertaining read.

4.5 This is another great brotherhood Protectors book. This time it is Gavin Blackstock’s time for adventure and love. Seeing a lot of his friends finding happiness he doesn’t think anyone will be interested in giving him a chance. Since loosing a leg he has kept to himself. His friend Lori conveniences him to try the internet where he finds Aurelia. Aurelia is not what she appears to be when she arrives she is hiding her true identity princess. Enjoy this one it’s a great ride!
