There are two worlds. Ours and theirs. Penny knows this to be true when she mistakenly takes her twins place and opens a path to the dark world. Now she’ll have to fight to the death in the arena and give up Logan, the man she has learnt to love, to become Ablazen.
Logan is a Tracker, an immortal Ablazen soldier, a vocation he has willingly devoted his eternity to, until now. Now, with his people on the brink of war, he has doubts, thanks to his growing love for Penny. Everything that he has held dear has become meaningless against the need to save her life.
Join the star-crossed lovers, Penny and Logan, as they fight against The Hidden and their own Ablazen society’s rules to stay alive and stay together…….
A first work by a promising new Ya-fantasy author. My rating for this book is properly 3.5. For a first novel this flows and reads very well. Georgina McKeith has produced an imaginative variation on the good versus evil theme. For those with faith in the supernatural is also plausible. The writing flows at a fair pace as we follow our four teenage heroes through their training processes to become Ablazen- immortal champions for good. The book started slowly for me, but picked up once I was a third into the book and delivered an enjoyable read. The author has, perhaps, rushed into publication and this shows in this first edition in the number of errors that a little more proof reading would have eradicated – a problem easily corrected with a revised edition that would enhance what is a good read.
