tears slid down my cheek as i read this book in the dim light of my flickering candle burning in the midnight oil. as i learn the ancient secrets of the chemical world, i briefly ponder my decision to ever continue secondary education. what is the meaning of life, i wonder. what is the point of living is all i’ll ever learn about is the fragmented, atomic nature of our world. what are we, but atoms, combined into compounds and molecules that we may never see. what kind of sick, psychotic, deranged, broken individual finds joy in this horrifying, terrifying subject? i close the book. it’s time to give up. more tears drop off my face to join the small ocean forming on the floor of my room. before i head to bed to think about the meaningless existence of humans, i take one glance back at the white and red cover of the textbook. i see the names, “John Sadler • Emily Sadler”. i cant help but smile. at least someone found their joy in this agonising textbook.

5/5. All I read was the title page. The beauty of marriage that came from such a menial task as writing a nonfiction book that many students everywhere will hate with a burning passion...love from hatred...light from darkness...true poetry.

Literally so bad. I mean most of the chapters have these examples which explain how questions related to the topic are supposed to be done... however if you go a few pages forward you will see review exercises. Those are questions that actually come in the exam and like generally class tests. Those questions are so much more complex than the stupid examples given. And this is also the problem with the book Physics Matters.
