Won't Let Go

Rate this book
I don't believe in destiny. I don't believe in fate. I don't believe in a lot of things…I was raised to believe in things, don't get me wrong, but here lately I don't have faith in anything. Let alone anyone. Till Neil Stephens. He did something to me. He unlocked something in me that I had hid away. He broke apart the strings that were holding me back. He saw through my darkness. He saw the darkest parts and still wanted more. There was something about him though... something that felt so familiar. Something that my mind was begging for me to remember, but I couldn't. I don't know if I'd even ever remember and I'd like to tell our whole story in a paragraph, or maybe even a page… but our story? Our story is so much more than that. I'd like to tell you our story is easy, but it wasn't. It would never be easy with my past. It was a lurking remainder of everything I had lost, but when I met Neil I no longer felt as lost. Like maybe he would find me, and our love.... It was like fire. First slowly spreading through my veins lighting something in me anew. Then it was suffocating. It was like I was being wrapped in a blanket of smoke not knowing where to go. Looking for an exit but there were none, so I accepted it. I accept it as the smoke filled my lunges and passed to a peaceful, different world of being. A world where he was the breath I breathed. A world where he was the blood in my veins that kept my heart beating. I didn't need those things any longer because I had him. I won't let him go. I couldn't let him go. I couldn't because he was my flame and I was the candle he lit a new.

I like all the aspects of the book but the only thing that bugs me is the maturity level of the hero and heroine as kids.... they act and talk like adults not six or four yr ones

While the story was good, this plot line has been before. Both of the main characters were likable.

What irritated me most about the book was the amount of “eye rolling” the main characters. It may not seem like a big deal but it was distracting and and shows a level of immaturity ( they weren’t teenagers).
