This is a lot like the Alexa Riley books. It’s completely over the top insta love, insta lust, insta everything. There isn’t much of a back story to either the characters or their story but it does have a bit of drama that showcases the hero’s possessive tendencies. While it did have some Viking references to it, it wasn’t what I was hoping for. So yeah, it’s perfect for that little something you need between longer, darker reads but not if you’re looking for something that’s totally Viking.

I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to read this story early. I love the Viking background and a story based around a family. I also appreciate the instalove and getting right to the story. I did however feel that there was some drama that went unresolved but it's the first of a series some the underlying story continues through.

HERO~ Loki was a great hero. He was OTT alpha and bossy. He saw Tabby, knew she was his and went for it. He put her first and stood by her when she needed him.

HEROINE~ Tabby was young. She was sweet and caring, yet a little self conscious. She had a hard time at first believing that a guy like Loki would want her. She didn't push him away though and eventually realized he was in it for the long haul.

SEXUAL HISTORY~ Tabby was a virgin. Loki was not.

OM/OW DRAMA ~ no ow drama
OM drama- Tabby's parents set her up with a horrible man and he made advances on her, rubbing her thigh and grabbing her. Loki stopped it.

STEAM very steamy

VIOLENCE Loki beat up the man who tried to put advances on Tabby

SECONDARY CHARACTERS Lots of secondary characters who have potential stories

SAFETY neither are with others after meeting.

ENDING~ Just ok epilogue a few months later

Loki has discovered he likes surprises, at least the one he received in the form of Tabitha. To say she was unexpected is putting it mildly, but Loki won't waste anytime in letting Tabby, and everyone else, know she's his.

Fast forward a bit and they're in love, enjoying all the perks that come with it, but Tabby is hesitant to take the final step and agree to move in with him. It's not that she doesn't love him or know that he's her future, it's the fact she's worried she isn't enough for him, a byproduct of growing up with the parents she did. Always made to feel less than, and unwanted unless she served a purpose for them, she can't help but worry her fairy tale will end and she'll lose Loki.

When Tabby receives a call, one that leads to her returning home, Loki is upset that she left on her own, determined to face her family without him, but Tabby knows how her parents can be and doesn't want to subject him to that. It doesn't take long for her to regret leaving him behind, nor to realize just how far her parents will go to get what they want.

Can Loki get to her in time? Or will one hasty decision made to spare the man she love be her downfall? What's going on with her sister, Cymion? And, after experiencing firsthand how dangerous people can be, will Cymion find her own HEA with Loki's brother, Sven?

One-click now and follow along as two people discover their forever and waste no time going for it. On a side note, I wish we would've gotten to see the relationship between Loki and Tabby happen, to see the connection between them build, instead of being plopped into the story after it's already been established.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**

Good

I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the rest in the series! Loki was intense and passionate and head over heels in love with Tabitha. Tabitha was young and a little overwhelmed with Loki’s intenseness towards her, she was also a little insecure even though she had no reason to be.
Safety
Completely safe! No ow drama and a little drama from Tabby’s family and om. H was celibate for a while, wasn’t specified how long or what he was like before he was celibate and h was a virgin. No abuse!

Loki was a quick read with lots of steam. When Loki sets his eyes on Tabby, nothing can stop him from claiming her.

Chashiree M and MK Moore are BAD ASS bitches! Don't waste another second not reading this book. I very much loved it. The story was great, the supporting characters were great. I loved visiting past characters as well as meeting future MC's. Personally, I am most anxious to read about Sven and Cymion.
-virgin h, celebate H (no mention of his past)
-no cheating
-dual POV
-no abuse
-H was completely head over heels for h (love that in a man)
-no OW drama, little OM drama (there is a part where OM rubs thigh of h but she shuts it down quickly & H comes in immediately after)
-epilogue at 3 months (but we'll see more of them in future books, I'm sure)
These 2 authors are amazing individually, but together they're off the charts incredible.
As long as they keep feeding my addiction, we will all be fine.
I left a review on Amazon originally, but unfortunately for some reason it's not showing up and now it's gone/erased...go figure. Review is done..go get this now. Not kidding at all.

This went from 0 to 100 from i see her over there then next chapter is 2 months later and them fking? So what happend between those 2 months?

They are already in a relationship and its hawt and steamy and tiny push/pull. There is some drama when tabatha sister gets in a car accident and she heads home to make sure she's okay knowing her parents are awful ppls.. we also get some hints for the next couple Tabs sister and sven..

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, sexy times, no manwhore was a virgin

This is the first book in The Jorgensen’s Series by MK Moore and ChaShiree M. Loki Jorgensen’s ancestors were one of twenty Viking families to settle in his part of Minnesota. When he decided to open his own restaurant he figured he’d never find love because all his time would be put into his business. Until Tabby comes walking into his restaurant and he knows he’ll do whatever it takes to make her his. This book wasn’t horrible but a few pages in I felt like I was missing something and names were mentioned like I was supposed to know who they were.

This is the first story of this new sexy series by two amazingly talented authors', ChaShiree M. Mixon and MK Moore and it was freaking AWESOME! Loki and Tabby had so much chemistry when they were together, you could practically feel the heat pour off the kindle pages ;)

I have so much to say about this story but it wouldn't be sufficient unless you guys go read this sexy as hell story and then you'll get this read is worth the time spent on it ;)

I can't wait for the next stories of everyone of the Jorgensen's family because I bet, with these two authors' co-writing these stories, it's going be incredible, hot as hell, with a guaranteed great happy ending for each couple and it will leave a smile and at the same time, a blush plastered on your face, like me ;)

Book: LOKI: Filthy Modern Vikings (The Jorgensen's Book 1)
Author: ChaShiree M and M.K. Moore
Rating: 3.5 stars

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a short yet sweet, sexy Novella. Although it is the first in a new series and can be read as a standalone, a lot of the characters and events that are referenced feature in the authors other books The Moosehead series and the Queen of Hearts Ink series. I was a new reader to both of these authors and have not read any of the other series. It is something that I would recommend doing before reading Loki as at times I did find it very confusing and difficult to keep, almost like I was missing vital information.

In this book we are introduced to the seven Jorgensen siblings, who this series will feature around. But this instalment centres around chef Loki and Tabitha (Tabby). Loki is your typical bossy alpha male who knew he wanted Tabitha from the minute that he saw her. Tabby is a young, sweet but naïve virgin who lacked a lot of self-confidence. When they meet Loki decides that he wants Tabby and he knows that he wants to be in for the long haul but Tabby is convinced that Loki will tire of her and will not want to stay with her forever. Can Loki convince her that his love is forever?

Even though this book is a novella and therefore quite short I felt like this relationship moved at lightening quick speed and it almost felt unbelievable that Loki would meet Tabby and decide he wants to spend the rest of his life with her at the first meeting. It almost made the characters feel a little unrealistic. But their chemistry was sweet and the way Loki cared for Tabby and helped build her confidence was lovely to witness. I would recommend reading this book, but I think to get the most out of it you should read the other books first. I am eager to see which sibling is featured in the next book!

Just ok for me on this one . It wasn’t as thrilling as some of the previous books I’ve read by this author, but it was still a good story and an enjoyable way to pass the time. This author has a writing style very similar to Jordan silver in the way that her writing style flows, or is occasionally choppy. And also in the phrases she uses.

My one complaint that kinda threw me, was that the heroines family backstory wasn’t really explained too well. I never really get to know how she ends up in MN, and I also really didn’t care for the fact that we have the opening chapter in which the hero sees the heroine and his inner caveman is awakened—(DONT have a problem with that, LOVE that)—and the next chapter opens up to...

TWO MONTHS LATER?!!?!?? Wuuuuttt?! Why?! What happened? Why don’t we see him claiming her? No explanation of anything that’s happened! The author also skips the first time they’re together, and so the moment when the hero makes the heroine HIS is completely missing. Just STAAAHHHPPPP!! The 👏FIRST👏Love👏Scene👏Is👏The👏Most👏Important!! And we don’t have it, so that knocked off two stars right there.

Other than that, the story progressed and it was ok. I did love how Loki was about knocking up his girl. That was good.

Heroes past isn’t mentioned too much. It does imply he was a manwhore before the heroine. Heroine is a virgin. No cheating at all, no ow drama and very slight OM drama which the heroine didn’t solicit or accept (another part of the story just shoved in there and not explained very well.) minor abuse from heroines family towards her, more of an emotional abuse or neglect. HEA with epilogue.

Loki is book one in the Jorgensen series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. The writing style is easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. I liked Loki and Tabby. We get a little insight to how they met but I would have liked to see them actually get together rather than jump to them being together for two months.
The chemistry between Tabby and Loki was clear and I liked them as a couple. Tabby’s worries were clear to see. She was a little hesitant to have things moving so fast. Where as Loki wanted Tabby to move in, get pregnant and marry him as soon as possible. Which obviously didn’t take long to happen. I was shouting at Tabby when she left without Loki but I was glad that he managed to get to his woman in time. I liked the addition of Tabby’s older sister and I cannot wait for more of her in the future after the little hints of her and Sven.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Loki

Let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVED Loki. The book is very good. It’s full of all kinds of instalove, alpha hero, kick butt heroine and of course babies!!!

However...there’s always a but huh? Anyway however the book kinda starts partway through their story and does not go back at any point and give you that story. In order to know how/when/where they met you have to read Inked by Her (book 3 of the Queen of my Heart Ink series) Although each book can be read as a stand alone I definitely recommend that you start with “Merry Grinchmas” which is book 1 of the Moosehead, Minnesota series. I would read that series followed by Queen of My Heart Ink series and then start The Jorgensen’s. All of the characters are intertwined and cross over into each other’s books. Again that’s just my opinion but you will not be disappointed with anything these two authors team up on.

Loki never imagined that he would find love. He had no interest in it. His restaurant was his focus. That all changed the moment he saw Tabitha. Now his whole goal in life is to make her happy, marry her and spend the rest of his life with her. Tabitha love Loki and cannot wait to start their life together. Too bad her parents have other ideas...

I have loved MK Moore since I discovered her last year. This was my first book with the addition of ChaShiree M. and she is awesome too! If you love crazy situations, insta-love, hot scenes and happy ever after, this is for you! Tabitha is crazy fun and she gives Loki a run for his money. Loki is a hot alpha who loves Tabitha's attitude and doesn't want to change her. Can't wait for more stories about the Filthy Modern Vikings. Another book devoured in one sitting, enjoyed every moment! 5 stars for Loki!

Review:
This is a spin off of the Moosehead Minnesota Series. They can be read as stand alones. This is book 1 of the Jorgensen Series.

Oh how I waited for this series. I'm an impatient fool and couldn't believe it has finally arrived. And it came with a bang! Loki was a caveman in the most amazing of ways! Tabby was the perfect match for him. Fire meets fire!

Can I say I absolutely loved the whole Tom game! I also loved the whole drama that ensued. A caveman will drag his woman back no matter what! I could not put this book down for the life of me.

I highly recommend this sexy, quick novella. Now I need the rest of this series because I'm addicted to all things Chashiree M. And MK Moore.

Did i miss half the book?

I was excited about this book when i read the blurb. It has everything I enjoy, steamy/sexy instalove alpha men who are decended from vikings. What more can a romance reader want in a book. Apparently someone forgot to tell me that there was only half the story. It starts half way through the story. One minute he sees Tabby then the next its two months later and they are discussing moving in together and thats within the first few pages. I am all for instalove and understand its a short story, but I didn’t expect to be playing catch up from the prolog.
If you like stories that skip to the end before they begin then this is the one for you.

Ughh i want to move here, to Moosehead. Like really though, all male here were fine fine fineee breed; Loki included. No tricks, just real man! Loved how passionate the relationship between MCs. Though the plot was rolling super quick and literally dragged me to catch up, but it was all sunny. I was expecting a bit dillema (or a pinch of insecurity here and there) but not really. All dramas were quickly dissolved and it's all because both MCs possessiveness; a typical insta lust book. The smexy scenes were just decadence. Wouldnt have it any other way. Huffft!!

I was excited to start this book because we've gotten some glimpses of the Jorgensen's in previous Moosehead books. Meanwhile it was just snippets here and there but it was enough to grab my interest and wonder. While I enjoyed both MC's I felt like I truly didn't know either of them. The second chapter jumps to the middle of their relationship and I feel like I missed half the book!! We are told that they meet one night when Tabby visited his restaurant but we don't even get to read about that scene! I think my overall feeling is confusion and hoping the rest in the series are better.

This is the first Nook in the Jorgenson's Brothers. This is Loki's story, and I absolutely love this Viking!! When Loki first met Tabitha she knew she was the one and that's all it takes for him. I thoroughly enjoyed the short, extremely sexy readby Chashiree and MK. Like all their books they are fantastically hot as heck, have extremely Alpha men who get their ladies!! Not to mention a great story.
I absolutely loved Loki and I'm looking forward to the rest of the clan!! ❤️❤️

Tabby arrives in Minnesota to visit and finds herself catching the eye of Loki Jorgensen, well she doesn't just catch his eye she catches his heart. Loki knows that Tabby is going to be his and goes about making it so. When Tabby's family summons her back home she flees but Loki has every plan to drag her back even if it means severing ties with her family.

I thought this was great. The story did jump quite a bit but overall a fun quick read. I liked the whole premise of this one.

Couldn't make it to the end. It was too ridiculous. Loki meets Tabby in his restaurant then its suddenly 2 months later and they're in bed. There was no buildup to their relationship. A bunch of characters were introduced like we were supposed to know who they were. It felt like too much of the story was missing. Lots of telling and no showing. Tabby is so spineless and pathetic and Loki deserved better.

This book had me captivated from the very beginning. And did you see that cover! Omg! Loki is this strong, alpha who protects his own at all costs. Tabitha is one lucky woman. But Loki is even luckier. Tabitha is so strong and fierce. She handles everything that comes at her with a strength I wish I had. I loved these two together. A definite, five smoldering stars! Must read!

I read this book before it was offered to public and now can't wait for the next in series. There is instalove, alpha goodness and young innocence. This was a quick read and I loved Loki and Tabby. Loki new that she was his immediately. There is some angst, but more importantly it's a love story that will make you swoon.

Another great book from ChaShiree M and MK Moore!

This is a fast paced book about Loki and Tabitha aka Kitten. Tabitha who have parents that try to arrange a wedding for her because they do not think she is good enough, but Loki comes in and saves her and they have a perfect life together. I can't for the next book.

It had the potential, but it was way too rushed and short. The first pages is about how he meets her and wants her, then the chapter is over and the next chapter is about how they already have met, fallen in love and are now moving in with eachother. Basically this book is sexscenes mixed with really rushed drama.

Started off with them basically immediately together and intimate. Writing seemed scattered and didn't feel smooth to me. Wasn't able to find myself hooked into the story and I think a lot of that had to do with there was no build up at all. I'm an instalove fan, but this was something different. It was disappointing. DNF.

Hmm

*sigh* I don't know what to say. I mean, I AM all for insta love, over the top, unrealistic type of romance books. But, for some reason I just couldn't get into this one. I really watching that first interactions with insta love books but this one kind of slid right into the future. I may try the next book I the series.
