Matthew J. Murphy is a senior military officer, military pilot, and electrical engineer. These positions require superb problem solving skills to find solutions. His skills were put to the ultimate test to find what Matthew dubs a "remedy" to cure his incurable digestive disorder. But he had help. The best help there is. He was blessed with divine inspiration to find a solution to overcome a very sever case of ulcerative colitis which the only hope the doctors had given him was surgery as his colon was too far gone and shredded for medicine. Matthew was no ordinary patient. He chose a different route and details his story and step by step schedule of recovery in his book. His goal is to provide hope to the hopeless.

As a person who suffers from Acid reflux and other gut problems, I am always looking for more information on how I can heal my gut and have a more productive and healthy life. I must say that after reading this second book from Matthew J Murphy, this is practically it for me. I really don't need to look any further. His first book, Remedy, detailed how he used bone broth among other things to cure himself of ulcerative colitis. This book provides expands further on one of those remedies which is probiotics. The Probiotic Constitution talked about many vital points such as the importance of the microbes and bacteria in our bodies and how they can affect our overall well-being and health. More importantly, it provided me a listing of the best probiotics on the market to choose from and recommendations on which ones best match to my particular condition.

Overall this is an excellent book on probiotic research and a real eye-opener. I promise you that you won't be bored, especially if this is your first go-around reading about probiotics. Though probiotics can be somewhat of a technical subject, I must say that the writer's wording was concise and straightforward making it an excellent option for the general public.

The name of this book said it all, just like our constitution is timeless, so is this book because of a fact not all probiotics are created equal.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who eats. This book is a great starting point to become a healthier and better version of you. There is no health without gut health after all.

Good balance look at probiotics and how they can help with your health.

Having recently discovered that I am lactose sensitive I wanted to learn more about how probiotics can help me with my stomach issues. The information in this book seems to be presented in a very honest way. I enjoyed how many of the claims made through out the book are cited.

I wish there was more in-depth coverage of the foods rich with probiotics along with my medical coverage but it is a short book. It gave me useful information and pointers to where else to look for more information.

I received an advance reading copy of this book, for free, through Goodreads First Reads program in exchange for my honest review.

The probiotics industry is growing rapidly, and much of it is still largely unregulated. Consumers who could potentially benefit from the use of probiotics may not know where to go for answers to questions they may have. In The Probiotic Constitution: Not All Probiotics Are Created Equal, author Matthew J. Murphy covers everything you ever wanted to know about probiotics and more.

Murphy is not a doctor. He is someone who has suffered from digestive disorders and personally reaped the benefits of probiotics. Through his own personal experiences and extensive research, Murphy provides readers with a large amount of information in relatively few pages.

Topics covered include, but are not limited to: what probiotics are, the different types of probiotics, the process of selecting the correct probiotic for each individual’s needs, and the effects (both positive and negative) probiotics can have on an individual. Though the subject matter is technical in nature, Murphy breaks it down into layman’s terms.

The Probiotic Constitution is a quick read jam-packed with information. It is a must-read for anyone considering using, or currently using, probiotics. Even those with no prior knowledge about probiotcs (myself included) will find this book to be both interesting and enlightening.

Knowledge is power, and Murphy empowers readers with a plethora of information about how to improve gastrointestinal heath through the use of probiotics.

Very interesting and full of practical advice. Probiotics can be very confusing. This book tells about different bacteria and suggests ways to replace them. The author tells you to talk with your doctor and decide where to start. Also to go slowly. There is lots of information about packaging which most people don't know much about. I think the best thing about this book are ideas to do your own research. I won this book in a goodreads giveaway-thank you! After taking probiotics for several years and not really knowing if they were helping I feel more confident that I will find the right ones for my body. Highly recommend!!!
