Crazy story warning Spoilers may be below!

Another marriage in peril trope with a weird premise. Wife leaves her husband to keep him out of danger. Tells him she doesn't love him anymore. He lets her to but something isn't meshing about it. That doesn't stop him from hooking up with his secretary and having sex with her however. The first night he was drunk but he continued to see her several more times. His wife had warned him about her too. Well anyway he loves his wife so much and he goes looking for her and he finds out the real reason she left and they get back together. They come home and he doesn't tell her about his affair with Dana and now Dana is pregnant and drama ensues. it was just a weird ride and I am sick of cheating. Yes she had left him and when He told her he had an affair she didnt really get upset because she left him and was gone for awhile but then she found out it was Dana and that she was pregnant she was pretty upset. Her reaction didn't jive with me at all for some reason. The whole book didn't sit well for me. I hated it. But I hate cheating and they were still married. He even says that himself. So read at your own risk.

The writing is good but I just hated the plot. So my rating is based on the storyline itself. Hopefully she won't keep making cheaters heroes. It really didn't even need to be in the plot. It didn't add anything to the book. And frankly it made no sense. If he loved his wife that much why would he do it? he didn't even like her even. Just crazy weird. Not recommended but it was free in KU. I may try another story by this author though.

Second chance

This book blurb looked so interesting, then I saw the reviews.. I had to read.. Well I'm glad I did but was sadly disappointed in the story, I thought I would be much more on the couple than there actually was. It was more on finding her brother and enabling him. Then I wanted more on his choices with the secretary and what happened there. It just fell flat on all ends. Could have been so good, a missed opportunity for a good angst filled read.

This story was too convoluted. Why throw in the twist? Wasn’t the mystery enough. Ugh I just had to keep turning pages. Skimmed mostly.
