Early church history reveals that communion was often practiced daily in homes, and administered to and by individuals. Yet, somehow this practice was lost and segregated exclusively into corporate worship. In The Meal that Heals , Perry Stone explains the Jewish Passover and how Christ transformed this ancient ritual with his death on the cross. Experience healing in your heart and body by remembering the Lord and His sacrifice daily.

Have you ever heard a sermon where the pastor started off on one topic and then tried to incorporate about three more topics in it and the ideas became so jumbled that you couldn't remember the initial point of the sermon? Well, that was this book for me. I have been trying to study a bit more on observing Communion and what it means for me while participating less in organized religion and more in a house church setting. I liked the idea of observing "communion" time in my home because I want to be disciplined in that on my current spiritual path. However, this book was more about healing and prayer than it was about the sacrament of communion. There were some good points specifically on observing Communion but at other times I was honestly confused as to what book I was reading. I'm also reading a book on prayer, and I genuinely thought I was reading that one once while in this one. So, if you're desiring to read about healing or if you're looking for a book that incorporates a lot of different spiritual concepts, this one might be good. However, if you're focusing on the observance of Communion, I would not recommend this book.
I love the idea and the practice of daily communion. There were a few great chapters in this book. Some just had too much (disconnected) info, in my opinion. If you're looking into communion as a daily practice, this isn't an introductionory book.
Brings new perspective to the Lord's Supper which I appreciated. There were some things in the book that I disagreed with though. I recommend doing some more of your own research to see how you feel about certain things he said.
Perry Stone does a great job explaining the importance and faith when it comes to daily communion. Growing up in a Catholic upbringing, communion was a weekly practice done out of pattern - well for me anyway. This book breaks my conceived views on that and brings life to the act.
Just like in his other books, Ztone uses a lot of eschatology, word studies, anr history along with the Bible itself to enforce his teaching. Analyzing most to every aspect makes tbis book understandable as long as faith is utilized. It also opened up many traditions I found to be forgotten but if practiced, would bring our community together far more than most modern day activities.
This is a book for Christ Followers who get their fill of the Bible as meat but maybe on the high-end of bread since I t does touch.grace.but hits a lot on obedience. I would suggest an audio study of this for those not.familiar with Stone. For those who are, you will most likely understand why this is his best book. God does great things through his people.
So glad I read this! So good to know more of why this has been so important to me for so many years. BIG Thanks! Precious!
Really appreciated the history of the Church's first 300 years with quotes from early church fathers. "As off as" you take it... HE has provided so much. How much are we leaving "on the Table"?
This book brought an entire new understanding of the importance of communion in the daily life of the Christian. It revolutionized my daily walk with my Savior.
