Esperanza is a beautiful Latin women raised in a brothel in Mexico by her grandmother. Her grandmother dies and she must leave Mexico to save herself from the cartel they owe money to. Her journey begins by finding her American father. Upon finding him she sets out to make her life better but instead finds herself falling in love with her father's business partner.
But can she live with his past?

I walked closer and stood in front of him and was able to look him eye to eye. I realized these were the eyes in my dreams. I began to feel heat all over. The man with the spun gold irises and the storm clouds that rocked the ships in anger. This can’t be good, I told myself. I’ve already been warned to stay away from him. I can already tell I’m going to make bad decisions when it comes to this man.
