Oh Maverick! Poor obsessed and consumed Maverick! He's still on the St. Cecilia Slayings case and is no closer to identifying the killer. Other than knowing that she has a super talented mouth and knows her way around a spine with her knife, he's at a loss. And while he's trying to discover clues and gain leads, he can't get Keira off his mind. She's everywhere he looks and although he knows that his desire for her is leading him to certain ruination, he can't help himself.
Now I'm obsessed with Maverick. He's like the lighter to my cigarette. The more he unravels, the more I crave of him. His dirty mouth and his dirty thoughts... this Catholic man is such a naughty boy and I love him! The killer is stalking him and I want to know who it is so bad. I want to know if I'm right. I also want to know how and why the killer's knives share the same symbol as his cross. I need Depraved ASAP cuz Blanco and Garcia have got me hooked to this series like a fiend on crack!!

HEART PALPITATIONS. If these two authors donโt give me a heart attack.. Iโll be surprised. I donโt even know who to blame because their writing fits together so seamlessly that I canโt tell which is writing and when. I absolutely adore how theyโre basically two puzzle pieces that fit together so perfectly-that I truly hope will never stop writing together.
Iโm so happy we got more of Mavericks story in this book. During the first book I was on pins and needles kind of even questioning him-but now a lot more makes sense that we see how heโs been struggling since way before he took this case he canโt seem to crack. Heโs mesmerized-as am I and I have to admit this is probably the most thrilling and deliciously hot novella Iโve ever read. Itโs downright dark and dirty in the best way possible-and I have to envy these two authors for just going for it. I simply canโt get enough of this story-and am waiting anxiously for the next part!!

Those two authors will make you heart beat fast, your panties in a bunch, keep you utterly consumed with the way they tell a story! So well-written, dark, twisted, and all-consuming!

He is definitely possessed and clearly haunted and tormented with very dark, dirty, and disturbing issues. Issues that he canโt fix and it only seems to be getting worse.

Iโm all for delayed gratification and enjoy a little depravation, so Iโm here for all of it and I know that the rest of the series wonโt disappoint!!

This is the 2nd book in this series. A little crime fighting, or not lol. Lots of hot steamy scenes. I liked the back ground we got of Maverick. But something is going on with Kiera's brother Elon for sure and that other detective, I do not trust him. Ruby too..........

Gahh! This book had my heart pounding from start to finish! I am loving this series so much. Itโs dark and sexy, suspenseful and full of secrets. Corrupted has left me begging for answers. I canโt wait to see what happens next in this series!

This series is awesome! It is almost as if it is Vol 2 for the book. It picks right up where the first book ended and even using the chapters from that as well.
Maverick is a detective that has a little bit of obsessive tendencies, with people and situations. My heart literally hurts for him and what he is going through (even if some is of his own doing).
I cannot go into detail at all or it will give the story line or it will give too much away, but know that this book is excellent from the sexual chemistry, the characters, the plot, and the way that the authors leave you for me! I am a fan and will be on the lookout for the rest of the stories!

So on to book 2. This one I found to be a bit boring. It felt like it could have been added to book 1 or 3. There was just information in it that was needed but nothing in there that was life-saving. Mav and Kiera barely see or talk to each other in this book, however, we do find some information on Kiera's family. On to book 3.

This is the continuous novella to Tainted. Before you continue with the story it gives you a flashback to the end of the last book and how it ended on a cliffhanger. And now let me give you a non spoilery review of this book. All I will tell you is it'll grab ahold of you and never let go. Let's just say you'd be obsessed like Maverick is to Keira because it's just that addicting. Brilliant work my ladies. I can't wait for Depraved.

This is book 2 in the series, and it's heart pounding and relentless. The pace is exhilarating as we read about Maverick's trouble allowing his demons to interfere with every ounce of his life, from his troubled past with an abusive father, to his connection to brutal murders that almost seem to be done to get his attention.
These two writers are made for each other. Their styles are so similar that they mesh together easily, with no messy corners. It's a delight to read such prose as:
"But the crucifix around my neck hangs heavy, a silent reminder that peace is only allowed to those who remain on the path of righteousness."
"Kiera nibbles on the corner of her lip and steps all the way into me, soft curves nearly pressed to my rabid hardness. Mesmerizing eyes suck me in, straight into the insane vortex that is her, and I practically jump out of my skin when she runs her index finger down my chest."
"The drive there is silent and Iโm all but suffocating from the sheer amount of anxiety clogging the air, death-gripping the steering wheel. Iโm nervous to see her again. The last time I visited, we got into a huge disagreement that resulted in me storming out after exchanging some words, and I almost turned to the drink after the fact."
The writing is insistent and intense, with dread pouring around the seams. You feel Maverick's confusion as he tries so hard to mix religion with his inherent darkness. He's not a good man, nor is he bad. He has regret and he has his addiction to deal with the fallout, but is it enough? Kiera is this enigma who seems as infatuated with Maverick as he is of her, but there's something off kilter about her. Maverick feels it too, but sets it aside for his weaknesses. She's a character almost deliberately not fleshed out...she seems to be there right when Maverick needs her. But does she have an endgame?
This twisted story is heightened by the bible quotes at the top of each chapter. Bravo to the one, or ones, who researched them. I hope I don't have a heart attack waiting for the next book. It's possible.

Some shocking and some not so much but ones to cause concern. He is no closer to catching the person doing this but does know that it is a woman. And now their are two women about to drive him to the edge of insanity. He, no matter what he does can get Kiera off his mind. She is his obsession and it is beginning to affect his job. He is drinking again after being sober for years and he want to hear nothing that Ruby has to add to anything strange that might just be going on. I am loving this series and so can not wait for the next book.

Questions, SO many Questions
This book continues on from the first book Tainted. From the first sentence, I am sucked back into a world of murders, mystery, suspense, and a brooding hero with a crapton of demons. I won't even get into the complexities of the other characters. Not everything is as it seems. There is a serial killer on the loose, there is a main character that I am still unsure of the role that she plays(Kiera), there is a partner that is definitely not on the same page as Maverick, and there is a brother that I am at a complete loss as to what his motivation/role is in this tangled web.
This story gives the background of Maverick and was much appreciated. I knew that he had baggage from the first book but things slowly fell into place in this book and made more sense of why he behaves the way that he does. I am looking forward to what this author duo writes in the future as there are still many more secrets to unveil. I know that these two are diabolical and that no matter what I theorize I will be wrong. I swear both of these women take turns ruling Hell. They live for these twists.

Corrupted is the 2nd book in the Saint Cecelia Slayings series, and it as good and attention grabbing as the first book. Do many hints given, but still my questions remain unanswered.
This story has several characters that are in the forefront. Namely, Maverick and Kiera, two people undeniably drawn to each other, passionately. But there is something mysterious about Kiera, Iโm not sure how I feel about her at this point. There is also Maverickโs partner, Ruby, and I think thereโs more to her than meets the eye as well.
The serial killer is still on the loose, and Maverick, a homicide detective, has crossed paths with this killer twice now. It appears the killer is a woman, dressed in a BDSM latex suit, identity completely hidden, but now sheโs toying with the detective, which of course heightens the mystery of her identity.
Itโs a well written story that draws the reader in and holds the attention. Iโm loving this series.
This story has several characters that are in the forefront. Namely, Maverick and Kiera, two people undeniably drawn to each other, passionately. But there is something mysterious about Kiera, Iโm not sure how I feel about her at this point. There is also Maverickโs partner, Ruby, and I think thereโs more to her than meets the eye as well.
The serial killer is still on the loose, and Maverick, a homicide detective, has crossed paths with this killer twice now. It appears the killer is a woman, dressed in a BDSM latex suit, identity completely hidden, but now sheโs toying with the detective, which of course heightens the mystery of her identity.
Itโs a well written story that draws the reader in and holds the attention. Iโm loving this series.

The Suspense Continues
Corrupted Book 2 in the St Cecilia series by N. Isabelle Blanco and Dee Garcia phenomenal like book 1.
I was drawn immediately back into the world of Maverick Quinn. A dark world of murder, mystery, suspense with a dash of hot, steamy and sexy times.....This time the story takes us into Maverick's past, which explains the way he is. Maverick and Kiera still have the hot and intense chemistry, which starts to unfold in to more possibly... (gotta read to find out)
You'll wonder about some characters roles which I'm sure will be revealed as time goes on... which I cant wait for more....
There's still a serial killer in the loose, a possible dirt cop and still annoying work partner who doesn't see the same at Maverick.
Story flowed from book 1 straight into 2
The twists and turns kept you on your toes
The sexual chemistry was off the charts
Beware ends on a cliffy.... can't wait to read more about the killer, what happens to Maverick and Kiera and oh that brother who I have know clue what hes hiding or not... lol

This series is so Hot and Addictive! I love it! Corrupted is book two in the Saint Cecilia Slaying's and It's to Die For!!! It picks up right where we left off on that rooftop and whew! Can I just say, hotdamn, I needed a cold shower after that! Maverick is such a complex character and it makes him that much more appealing. He toes the line and fights an everyday battle with his own demons, right and wrong, his temptations. His life is so full of chaos and I love that deep down he's the kind of character you crave! I'd love to run into him in a dark alley! I have so many suspicions and theories my minds going to explode! I have a feeling some twists are coming so I don't want to put too much into my thoughts right now but man I'm excited! I can't wait for the next book! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh Maverick!! To be obsessed over a killer!
Dee Garcia and N Isabelle Blanco have once again left me speechless. They have left me wondering what the hell I just read. The twist and the anxiety I feel while reading is like nothing else. Everytime i thought I knew something it was like they just said "no sorry"

I love that we learned more about Maverick in this book, his alcoholism, and his father.
Maverick and Kiera are scorching hot together. And on the opposite side I would love to know what Ruby's fascination with him is? I seriously cannot wait for more of the evolution of the characters.
Each page left me needing more, and when I got to the end all I wanted to do was beg the authors for the next book!

When I read Tainted I remember being left speechless with such an amazing book, but after reading Corrupted I can help feel obsess with this series.
In Corrupted continues the obsession that Maverick has to find the serial killer.
In the process of fighting with his alcohol problem, his partners and the obsession with the serial killer, Maverick finds himself more connect and addicted to Kiera.
This book is more addictive, consuming and borderline obsessive. I can help fall in love with Maverick and his struggles. Every word in this book makes me feel more connected with his thoughts.
I love that N. Isabelle & Dee Garcia wrote a book that consumed my mind, to the point that I felt I was part of the book. Theyโre amazing writers and together they are indestructible.

Maverick is such a mess. His sexual obsession with Kierra and the killer. He doesn't seem that concerned with the case until the killer strikes again to gain his attention. Is he one of her targets?ย
I think I know who the killer is but is she tied to Elon? There is something off with Elon and Kierra. Is Kierra playing a game with Maverick?
Why is Ruby investigating her co-worker? What secret is she hiding?
Corrupted will definitely keep you intrigued with so many unexpected turn of events. Your imagination runs wild as you try to figure out who the serial killer is. And what games the characters are playing with Maverick's mind.

I was 1st obsessed and now
Book 2 continues into the investigation and obssesion our detective is having on 2 female leads and while I have assumptions I am unsure of how real can they be as turns in events have given me doubts I am hanging by a string needing more of this story and only getting what feels like crumbs from these authors.
Another blown away fact I've not mentioned on my previews review is this is a coauthored book and yet there is a single POV and it reads as one voice almost as these ladies can hear the same character.

Raise your hand if you love being tortured by Dee Garica and N. Isabelle Blanco! Well, this girl right here does and trust me when I say that if you were to give this series a chance you would love it just as much too. This series honestly has so much going on that I don't know if its wrong for me to love it as much as I do. In book 1 we met Maverick and Keira and Book two is so much better this book is surrounded by mystery and passion and you don't know who you can trust whats going to happen your on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Corrupted is the second book in the St. Cecilia Slayings. Book 1 is Tainted and they must be read in order. The series is planned to be 6 books and if the trend continues we will be on the edge of our seat with each ending.
Maverick is obsessed trying to find the killer, but all he knows is that it is a woman. He is falling apart at the seams. I am barely hanging on myself waiting for book 3 to come out.
This is a great writing pair, you can't tell when they switch and the story flows perfectly on it's dark and twisted journey.

Here we are back in the sick and twisted world of Maverick and his obsession. This one takes foe messed up scene to another with him and his situation of what makes him tick. No words from my brain will do this book justice. The mine set of one cop and the one person he has to catch to end the cycle will have your pulse pounding, youe heart rate up, and an ending that will have you wanting to scream in anger. Can't wait to read the next the one. These two ladies know who to keep you wanting more and more.

Corrupted the 2nd book in the Cecilia slaying series. This book is twisted and dark. maverick as some demons I think hes not quite ready to uncover yet. There some very steamy scenes which where are an added bonus I'm still unsure on some of the characters in the story maybe we will find out more in the next installment. All in all it at abit of everything cant wait to see if the kill is who I think really dark read I loved it

Oh talk about keep you on your toes. This is fast paced and the tension is high. The fear as Quinn unravels and spirals into darkness and Kiera reaching out to find her anchor. The cliffhanger just makes you want more. You become addicted to this high level of stress and only want to take more in to soothe the feelings running thru you. I can't wait for the next hit of adrenaline.
