My Review:
Written in my favorite dual POV, this latest addition to the Conner series was extra sexy, I actually started to perspire while reading. I enjoyed the sweet and steamy romance, all the secondary storylines, amusing banter, and the many enticing characters in addition to the main pair who couldn’t seem to keep their hands off each other. I need to know what type of supplements they took as I would love to buy some.

I’m loving everything about The Conor Family and for me each book gives me more of an insight into the family I have come to love. Only with You is book 4 in the series and it’s Valentina and Carter’s love story and if I’m honest it’s the one I have been waiting for, it did not disappoint...
Due to a family tragedy Val was left to raise siblings but now they are all grown up she can concentrate on the company she has built. Carter is raising his nieces after losing his sister and brother-in-law in an accident so this is a couple that have a lot in common. An unexpected meeting has them falling for each other and it seems fate is determined to bring this couple together...
This is a beautifully well written romance that captivated me from the first page, I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple and their families. Only With You ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I laughed, I swooned and I shed some tears as I joined the family I class as friends once again. This author has a way of painting pictures with her words, she describes her characters and the towns they live in so well you feel like you are going home with every book you pick up. I highly recommend this gem.

Valentina Connor ist eine erfolgreiche Karrierefrau, die ein eigenes Kosmetikunternehmen besitzt und eigentlich nicht viel Zeit für Männer hat bzw. scheint sie immer auf die falschen Männer zu treffen. Doch dann begegnet sie zufällig Carter, der in der Nachbarschaft als Anwalt arbeitet.
Von Beginn an waren mir Val und Carter unglaublich sympathisch. Val ist eine selbstbewusste Frau, die weiß was sie will, aber gleichzeitig auch alles für ihre Familie tun würde. Carter ist ebenfalls beruflich erfolgreich, muss sich aber auch um seine beiden Nichten kümmern. Für beide steht die Familie an erster Stelle. Carter ist definitiv ein kleines Träumchen.
Dementsprechend haben die beiden als Paar wirklich perfekt harmoniert und die Geschichte kommt somit und allzu viel Drama aus. Glücklicherweise schaffen es die beiden bei Problemen miteinander zu reden. An mancher Stelle wirkte die Geschichte manchmal ein wenig überhastet und vieles ging ein wenig zu schnell, konnte mich insgesamt aber dennoch sehr gut unterhalten.
Gut unterhalten konnte mich auch wieder das Setting rund um die gesamte Familie Connor und ich bin sehr neugierig wie es mit den restlichen Geschwistern weitergeht.

Ich weiß, dass ich heute schon ein Buch von dieser Autorin beendet habe, aber ich konnte nicht anders. Ich musste weiterlesen und ich habe es durchgesuchtet. Es war so gut und ich liebe die Connors einfach. Und dann dieser flüssigen Schreibstil, man kann es einfach nicht aus der Hand legen. Ich liebe Vals und Carters Geschichte und hab mich auch noch bin April und Payton verliebt. Die zwei sind einfach so süß wie wunderbar. Hach, ich muss bald weiterlesen. Ich will wissen wie es Hailey und Jace in der Liebe ergeht. Absolute Leseempfehlung.

Val (Valentina) Connor has gotten her business up and running and bam, a competitor is seeking to take her out. She's finally able to make her dreams come true after having helped her brother raise their younger siblings, so now's the time when she should come first. And then she meets this gorgeous man who is frequenting her favorite coffee shop. Carter is a successful lawyer raising his nieces, and he's a bit clueless about how he's suddenly not the cool uncle to his eldest niece that he used to be. And then he meets this beautiful woman at the coffee shop. He wants her. He wants her in his life and in his bed. So he sets about wooing her with his very best charming self. But it's really his nieces that seal the deal because Val is at heart, a caretaker, and she simply takes over from raising her now adult siblings to raising Carter's nieces. Can they sustain a relationship built on that? Or will Val come to the realization that she's only important to Carter because she helps him care for his nieces?
I absolutely fell in love with Val and Carter, especially Val. She's such a great character - all heart, and strong to boot. I love how much she cares for the people in her life, not just Carter and his nieces, but her siblings, too. And just as great is Carter and how he loved her wholeheartedly. There's no doubt he's a sexy, successful lawyer, but more importantly, he's a genuinely great guy who found his soul mate, a woman more than equal to him. Only With You is filled with Layla Hagen's signature emotionally substantial and layered characters, with seriously sexy chemistry. I've been loving The Connor Family series, and I've gotta say that Only With You is the best one yet.

Only With You by Layla Hagen is a sweet, heartwarming read and I really enjoyed it.
I found the storyline entertaining, it's well written and well paced.
Val & Carter are likable, relatable, passionate characters that made me swoon, smile and laugh while watching them slowly fall in love.
I loved the relationship Val had with Carters nieces, they were honest and open with her and she loved them unconditionally.
Overall, Only With You is a lovely addition to The Connor Family series and I highly recommend it.

Ich bin glaube ich ein wenig mit in Carter verliebt.
Auf Valentina Connor habe ich nu auch sehr lang gewartet und ich hätte nicht gedacht das teils eine etwas schüchterne Seite an sich hat.
Bei Carter ist sie recht locker und frech, aber da er ein ziemlich loses aber durchaus charmantes Mundwerk hat, bringt er sie doch oft zum erröten oder verstummen.
Ich mochte es wie sich die Geschichte der beiden entwickelt hat und wie sie sich ganz zwanglos kennengelernt haben.
Carter und Val sind sich in ihren Unsicherheiten sehr ähnlich. Beide verschenken einander ihr Herz.
Carter fand ich mehr als toll, er ist in vielerlei Hinsicht umsichtig und aufmerksam. Seine ganze Art hat mir wirklich gut gefallen und er ist jemand der weiß was er viel.
Val jetzt mal näher kennen zu lernen fand ich schön, da sie sich immer um alle kümmert. Da sie so einer Powerfrau ist kommt man gar nicht auf die Idee welch verletzliche Seite sie hat.
Was mir besonders gefallen hat war das recht realistische Missverständnis und Carter wie er ist nimmt die Dinge in die Hand um sie zu klären.
Mich hat die Geschichte total verzaubert gehabt und ich bin schon gespannt wen es als nächstes Trifft. Viel Auswahl gibt es dabei nicht mehr.

This was a low angst read with very likeable characters.. Carter was awesome, so kind and caring. He has his nieces living with him and they were a great addition. Val was also a great heroine. She had so much love to give as well. These two really deserved each other as both have been unlucky in love. A sweet read

Layla Hagen has once again written a fantastic 5 star book while continuing with the Connor Family. Only With You is Valentina and Carter’s story (Book 4) and the one I have been waiting for.
After raising them due to a family tragedy, Val has finally gotten her company up and running after her siblings are now grown up. Carter is raising his nieces after a tragic accident takes his sister and brother in law. They meet unexpectedly and soon discover they are meant for each other.
Val is written as a strong, independent, hard working woman who has a soft side for her family or anyone she cares about. Carter is a strong man who has a soft side for his girls and isn’t afraid to show it. Val and Carter are perfect for each other and Layla has written them so well.
The connection is strong and is written so well. As with any great book, there is always some angst, some laughter, crying and all around life happening. This book has all of that and so much more. I can’t say enough about this author and this book, this story just pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages, again it’s like you are in the room and included in the story. Only With You is no different, she just keeps you so into her stories. Her writing keeps you so intrigued that you have to keep going to know what is going to happen with the characters.
Only With You is a great book to get lost in. I wasn’t prepared for it to end, I wanted the book to continue as I needed more of Val and Carter and the rest of the Connor Clan. Layla writes strong characters who have flaws just as her readers have.
Her stories are so believable which is what makes me coming back for more.
Layla Hagen is a phenomenally talented writer and I will continue to read her books. I highly recommend this book. I cannot express how much I love this author's stories. I just do!

In“ Flowers of Passion – Flammende Lilien“ geht es nun um Valentina, die ein erfolgreiches Kosmetik Unternehmen hat und in der Liebe eher zurückhaltend ist. Als sie Carter einen gut-aussehenden Anwalt trifft, spürt sie das er mehr auslöst, doch sie will ihn nicht näher an sich lassen. Als ihre Firma verklagt wird, braucht sie Hilfe und auf einmal ist es Carter...
Valentina besitzt ein Kosmetikunternehmen das sie liebt wie ihr eigenes Baby. Bisher hat sie in der Liebe wenig Erfolg und als sie Carter trifft, spürt sie diese gewisse Anziehung, doch kann daraus mehr werden ?
Carter ist Anwalt und hat für seine beiden Nichten das Sorgerecht seitdem die Eltern der beiden bei einem Unfall gestorben sind. Er hat sich seine eigenen Kanzlei aufgebaut und ist sehr erfolgreich als Verteidiger.
Der Schreibstil ist angenehm flüssig und wird im Wechsel aus der Perspektive von Carter und Valentina erzählt. Der Leser kann sie so beide näher kennen lernen und ihre Gedanken und Gefühle erfahren während der Handlung. Die Nebenfiguren sind ebenso authentisch und gestalten die Geschichte mit. Die Kulisse ist Ähnlicher der aus den anderen Bücher der Reihe und man trifft wieder auf alte Charaktere .
Die Spannung hat mich mit jeder Seite mehr in die Geschichte von Valentina gezogen. Sie führt ein Kosmetikunternehmen und in der Liebe eher zurückhaltender. Als das Schicksal sie Carter treffen lässt, ahnt sie nicht wohin der Weg führen wird. Er ist Anwalt und führt seine eigene Kanzlei und kümmert sich als Vormund um seine Nichten.
Schon der 4 Band der Reihe der mich erneut von Seite 1 mitgenommen hat. Valentina ist eine starke Frau, die ihre Familie über alles liebt und ebenso ihr Baby, ihr Kosmetikum. Als ein Rechtsstreit immer größer zu werden scheint will ihr Carter helfen, als Anwalt. Doch kann Valentina dieses Mal privates und berufliches mischen, wenn sie alles auf eine Karte setzen muss ? Wieder bin ich von dieser Reihe begeistert und konnte mich kaum davon lösen
Das Cover sieht einfach toll aus und ich mag diese Lilien im Hintergrund.

Leider hat mir die Geschichte von Carter und Valentina nur noch ein weiteres Mal gezeigt das diese Reihe einfach nichts für mich ist.
Die Beziehung zwischen den beiden ist in meinen Augen einfach Toxisch. Er behandelt sie wie ein Objekt und als sie dann ein einziges Mal etwas dagegen sagt, macht sie ihre Aktion 5 Seiten danach wieder ungültig da sie ihn wieder einmal über sich entscheiden ließ.
Ich finde das Buch vermittelt ein ganz falsches Bild von der Protagonistin da sie anfangs als so stark charakterisiert wird. Die Atmosphäre des Connor-Clans und Carters Nichten April und Peyton waren die Retter dieses Buchs. Unterhaltung hat das Buch mir persönlich nicht geboten doch trotzdem sollte jeder hier seine eigenen Erfahrungen machen.
Die Beziehung zwischen den beiden ist in meinen Augen einfach Toxisch. Er behandelt sie wie ein Objekt und als sie dann ein einziges Mal etwas dagegen sagt, macht sie ihre Aktion 5 Seiten danach wieder ungültig da sie ihn wieder einmal über sich entscheiden ließ.
Ich finde das Buch vermittelt ein ganz falsches Bild von der Protagonistin da sie anfangs als so stark charakterisiert wird. Die Atmosphäre des Connor-Clans und Carters Nichten April und Peyton waren die Retter dieses Buchs. Unterhaltung hat das Buch mir persönlich nicht geboten doch trotzdem sollte jeder hier seine eigenen Erfahrungen machen.

Very good.
Took off 1 star because the twist at the end was out of character for both Val and Carter.
I liked everyone in the book. Am on to book 5 in the series.
It was great that Val was successful, confident and had her own nice home. I appreciate a woman who writes good strong competent female role models.

Sweet love story
I always love the romance store with kids involved. They steal me heart. Payton and April did that in this book as they watched their handsome uncle Carter, who is raising them, find his true love with Val. It was a great book. Loved it. Love the Conner family saga.

Uplifting
Val and Carter are instantly attracted at first meet. She's been through some stuff, but so has he. They transition from short term to relationship seamlessly. A few hiccups along the way. Some humor, and lots of steam. Great, easy read.

This is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last. I really enjoyed the easy reading, the connor family values, and the story in general. I'll definitely need to read the other books in the series. If you like a sweet contemporary romance then this is exactly right for you.

I have enjoyed the previous Connor books and I couldn’t wait to read Val’s story. As one of the oldest-with her twin Landon-she was responsible for raising her four younger siblings. To me, Val had a tough exterior. Being a “mom” to her siblings can definitely bring that out and I wasn’t expecting a softer side. Boy was I wrong. In Only With You, I was able to see the other side of Valentina Connor-the warmer side. It was a perfect balance between a strong independent woman/business-owner and “mom” to the romance-loving, sweet woman. That balance showed the true Val. When Carter Sloane enters the picture, it was entertaining to see how he gets to Val and how he also gets Val. He was determined but he was also loving and caring to her. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship. There was a nice build-up of the interactions and banter and the steam. What I loved most about this book was the significant of family. Seeing the way Carter was with his nieces was endearing and I loved how Val seamlessly fit into their lives. Of course it is always great when the Connor siblings make appearances-it puts a smile on my face how much they love and care for each other. This was a great read about love between two people who were perfect for each other in every way. Carter and Val were fabulous characters and I enjoyed their love story. Only With You is a well-written balanced book. Layla is a great storyteller. I really hope Jace’s book is next-I’ve been waiting for that boy! :)

This was another solid book in he Connor series. Val and Carter are really easy to like and as with the other couples their attraction is instant. Val owns her own fragrance company and Carter owns his own law firm. They both have similar pasts that draw them together. Carter is raising his two nieces and Val helped raise her siblings with her twin brother. They have a need to be their for each other. There is plenty of romance , sexy time and passion in this book. I will say the sexy time scenes are getting pretty familiar and seem more frequent with the couples as the series goes on, but overall the books are well written and the characters draw you in so you can overlook the similarities. They are standalone books, but this series draws you in so you want to read everyone’s stories. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I will repeat myself once again, but Only with you is a winner! Layla Hagen continues with her winning streak and I hope that it will be even longer! The book had everything I could ask for in a novel and it was so much fun to read!
Carter’s nieces were very good kids and I liked them a lot. They interact often with Carter and Val, which made me happy. Val took on the motherly role very quickly and easily and it was fine by me. The little girls needed a female figure and she was perfect for the role. The four of them made a very cozy family!
I understood Carter's reasoning when it came to Val and her decisions, which is the hot topic of the last few chapters of the book. I think both of them were right to some extent and I liked how they worked things out. That part of the book was the only source of angst and I loved it! I am a girl who loves angsty books (with no cheating or ow/om drama of course).
I don't think that I can come up with something that I didn't like to be honest and I will give the first nomination for my top 10 books of 2019 to Only with you! At this rate, I don't think that I will have 10 books for that list so this makes the book even more special! I love the Connor family as much as the Bennetts at this point. Jace piqued my interest and I can't wait for his book! I don't want him to be the last one to get a happily ever after.
I was a little anxious when Val's rival needed a lawyer because Carter's firm was a big one and he could be on the enemy's team but, I was very happy to find out that Carter was not representing the rival company because it would have sucked so much. I know it's spoiler-ish, but it was a fear in my mind and some of you might also have it.

After my previous read that absolutely blew me away, Only With Me was going to have to be HuGe to win me over…. But I secretly knew it would, Layla Hagen, the Bennett’s and now the Connor family always reel you in one family member at a time. I do love an alpha male, and when the story is focused on a woman it sometimes portrays them as weak, needing a man to make her successful, but (I should kick my own butt for even thinking that), but not when it comes to the Connor family. Valentina (Val) is smart, owns her own perfume company and is sexy to boot. She comes from a big family, that had a rough start in life with the loss of their parents. This only created a even stronger woman.
A freak meeting at the local coffee shop, Val is taken by the gorgeous man waiting in line. Carter Sloane has moved to LA with his lawyer company. The man is a shark in the courtroom, but had next to no luck in the romance department. He is Carer for his 2 nieces April and Peyton, do girlfriends and a love life are non existent. But after meeting Val, he decides this woman is one he’s going to to know. What he learns only furthers his want for her. She might like the fine things but she definitely holds her own. I love her ♥️.
Within weeks a very sweet and sexy relationship heats up, and it made very clear Carter is as much alpha in the courtroom as he is in the bedroom. The man is all class and sexy ass… If he wants, he gets, and Valentina Connor is at the top of his list. She breaks his walls down, loves April and Peyton, and is sexy when she gets all business. But when there are 2 headstrong characters, there is always going to be a little drama, but Carter and Val will navigate work lives, personal time, and family time and love to be together. Having an extended family make it just a little bit easier.

What a terrifically swoon-y, slow burning, as real as it gets romance! I'm a huge sucker for children being involved, fragile little hearts and all. I wont lie I read the opening few pages and thought, "is this the right book?" there aren't any single dad hotties in the Carter family. Low and behold, we find out our hero Carter, is the guardian of his sisters children.
If you've been following along with the Carter family, Valentina is the "mom" of the family. Having assumed this responsibility after their parents passing, she did much of the raising- along with her twin- of their younger siblings. So she is no stranger to Carters, challenges in making the right decisions for his nieces and their well being...while also being the cool uncle. Valentina, also runs a successful cosmetics/fragrance company- which is something she was able to do once her siblings were grown.
Val & Carter meet in the coffee shop across the street from their businesses (his law firm, her fragrance company) and there stolen moments in the coffee shop are some of my absolute favorites throughout the novel. Cater was respectful of Val's work schedule and time, and the ways he would sneak her texts, or food, coffees, or pop in were so adorable. They faced very real challenges with work schedules, family time, etc- but we were still gifted with some sexy times :)
The book really took a turn for me when Carter comes to Val's saving grace during her lawsuit. I knew then what was coming, and I fell for him even further. This is a story you want to pick up ASAP whether you've read the rest of the family or not- not required but a definite bonus!! I have a sneaky feeling Jace is going to be in for it and I can. NOT. wait!!!

I really enjoyed Only With you. It’s been a while since I read anything from Author Layla Hagen and I’m so glad I decided to pick this up. I love this simple story of second chance romance. Val was sweet and she reminded me a little of someone I know and there’s Carter a man who became an instant dad. They were really sweet together and I loved their first time meeting. For a complete stranger to have complete connect with someone the first time they met. It was a really great how did they meet story. It’s really nice that Val and Carter took their time in getting to know each other, before jumping in bed with each other. I enjoy reading them getting to know each other with conversations and moments. It’s nice that they knew each other enough before the sweet bed times happened. This was a delightful read.
