When her friends decided to finally get her out of her comfort zone, they take her to the one place she wouldn't be caught dead in. A strip club.
With her face as red as the strobe lights on stage, Julie manages to find herself making a connection with Mateo the hottest stripper there.

Mateo by night, better known as Dr. Luke by day, a well respected physician, sees something in Julie no one else can. He's determined to get Julie to open up and let him in. After all...everybody needs somebody...right?

What can I say, I really enjoy this author. I have read Fight and Last and really enjoyed them, so I knew the Virgin Diaries was going to be good. I was not disappointed!!
In Broken Heart we are introduced to Julie, who steps out of her comfort zone to go a strip club with her friends. There she has a little to much to drink, but Mateo/Luke steps in to take her home. Thus starts the relationship between two people who were not looking for love, but found it.
As I said I enjoy a good sweet story, and this fit the bill. I enjoyed Julie, who is the girl next door type. Also liked reading her diary entries, so we could get a better idea of her as a character. And can I say Luke is just dreamy. From the start he captured my heart with his sweetness. I loved seeing their story unfold. And can I say that ending, I was like Nooooo!! I Need book two now, good thing it is released on the same day!

First book in this series. This is the first book that I have read from this author. This is the first in the series of three books regarding Julie. This is the first book that we are introduced to Julie and learn about her. I love how through this book you get to read journal entries from Julie. It shows exactly how she is feeling about something. I enjoyed that part of the book. Made you feel like she was talking to you as if she was right next to you. Julie goes out to a party with her best friend. She ends up partying a little to much and this wonderful guy takes care of her. Luke is the guy. Honestly i believe everyone should have a Luke in their life. All he wants to do is get to know her and take care of her. I almost threw my kindle at the end of this one. I was in tears wanting to climb into the book. Holy cow that ending. But an amazing book. Love Julie and Luke together. A perfect story about finding love.

Wow, this book is incredible, I went through alot of emotions reading this book. I found reading Last and Fight first better to get a better picture of the characters.

Julie is a shy, woman, she doesn't really know her own self worth until she's encouraged to attend Jessas batchorette party at a strip club.

She's taken home by one of the strippers in her drunken state. Wakes up following morning not knowing where she is and not being able to remember the night before much. She starts to hide herself and become self conscious.

Luke is a doctor, working part time as a stripper to pay off his student loans. He meets Julie and is taken with her, there's something that attracts him to her.

Will Luke be able to get Julie to see what he sees, or will Julie keep herself in her bubble.

Highly recommend this book series and the amazingly talented author.

More Than Just A Broken Heart

I read Fight by the same author and become interested in one of the characters. She went to school with Jessa, and was very shy. Seemed to have high anxiety. It left with questions as to why she was that way. Seeing she was incredibly beautiful. This book starts where that one leaves off. This book is about Julie. Her grandmother recently died leaving her the house. She is really locked in her own world. Just finished college not sure as to what she wants to do yet. She met Luke at the end of Fight. He was a stripper. Working to pay off his college loans. Their childhoods are very similar and they bond over them. This book is an emotional read. It does have a cliffhanger ending. I am glad the other 2 books in the series are complete so I can keep going.

Julie is a quiet girl who isn’t a real party girl. She went out one night with friends and woke up to a nice surprise. A nice guy was there to help. They soon became friends and more. Julie came from a horrible home life and had some real tragedies in her life. They became inseparable and fell in love. Things happen and oh you just really need to read this book. I promise you will love it.

This is the first novella is a new series form this talented author. Julie is an introvert who is at her happiest at home reading, and when her friends drag her out for the night, she is not expecting Mateo, the stripper. Mateo is a doctor by day and stripper by night. This is a well written story, which had me intrigued and hooked and I cannot wait to read more.

This was an amazing book! Julie is the proverbial naive wall flower. Luke was such an amazing character and brought her out of her shell. What an emotional read. Be sure to have your tissues ready for this one.

Oh Julie, Julie, Julie. She is the girl next door who needed to come out of her comfort box and experience life a bit. And Mateo/Luke is just what she needed. They both come from not so pleasant childhoods. From the start you could feel the connection for these two. Loved this one beginning to end.

Julie is a quiet young lady who would rather read than go out! One night her friends convince to go out with them, and she meets Luke, a Doctor by day and a stripper by night!

Julie finally feels like she has found what she has always wanted - a family - she and Luke love each other so much and plan to spend the rest of their lives together, until one fateful day when Julie’s past turns up, and her life is ripped apart!

This book is amazing, happy, sad and everything in between.
