Don't agree to go home with him when says he needs to talk to you Let’s hope I don't come to regret breaking rules four and five within minutes of Mason Cleary swooping back into my life. Rated Ex is short and hot- the perfect dessert after a long day when you want something sweet but don't have time for a full length book.

I think this was on the read me romance podcast for free. But now it’s in ebook form. It’s a quickie second chance romance that starts with a blind date gone super bad, that the hero rescues the heroine from. Then let the second chance commence.

Super short which is expected by these podcast audiobooks but it was also enjoyable. I liked that the Ex tracked down the heroine to fix their relationship.

The book starts with the heroine on a date, a date from hell! I thought how stupid can this woman be when she’s just sitting there taking everything this dick had to say about how she looked. I would have gotten up and left but not before throwing the dishes or anything at him. Guess who appeared to defend her honor?
Anyway this was like wham bang thank you ma’am. Not much to say when I blinked and it was over.

Ella Fox is fast becoming a favourite author of mine. This is a short read but a fab one.
Rory is on the worst blind date of her life and genuinely thinks her sister has set it up on a prank. She’s not ready to date after the break up she recently suffered. Mason was her everything and she fell in love with him hard and fast but after over hearing a conversation she knew it was the end for them as much as it broke her heart.
Mason found the girl of his dreams the day that he met Rory only she called off their relationship and he had no idea why! He’s back in town and determined to show her they belong together. Can he convince her that they are meant to be?
I’m not a fan of audio books I prefer to read so waited for the kindle edition. Seriously hot, with great character and of course that blind date.

This is a REALLY short fluffy, second-chance, smut read. I’m going to leave as a 3, but you really need to be in the mood for light fluff because there isn’t any meat in this one. No real discussion or feels… it’s basically a bad blind date and a couple sex scenes. It may be a spinoff from another novella because a few random names are thrown in like we know who they are.
Bottom Line- Very short smut read without much plot. I’m staying at a 3 because it’s ok for a smut novella, but don’t recommend to readers looking for a lot of substance.

Sooo this one was eh alright i was sad it was only one narrator... and one pov..which sucks for me.. this was free on RMR podcast so if you wanna listen to it. Now onto the review.
The only reason they broke up was a misunderstanding and Mason saying to his friend over the phone he wasn't a long term relationship kinda guy.. but that was all bs or guy talk since he lied to his friend problem is she overheard..that cursed rory to break up with him when he went to italy for a shoot.. but once he came back.. he saved her from a blind date from hell and they got to talk and worked shit out..
Low agnst, no ow/om drama, sexy time, slight dramaish.
Seperation for 11 weeks

Cute short
A very cute short story. Rory is in the middle of a blind date with the biggest jerk when her ex-boyfriend steps in to get her back. Apparently a misunderstanding breaks them up just before he has to leave to film a movie in Spain.

Oh damn! I wasn’t expecting to like this book... but I ended up really liking this book.
What’s it about?
Rory is on a shitty date. The guy she was set up with is a COMPLETE FUCKING DOUCHEBAG! During this awful date her ex, Mason, steps in. Mason saves Rory from the awful date by saying they need to talk... and they both may still have feelings for each other!
Pros:
The story is surprisingly great. I’m not sure exactly what it was but this story just... I felt so into it and engaged in a way I did not expect from this.
I fell in love with these characters almost immediately, they are so well written.
This book is very humorous throughout. I wasn’t able to resist laughing out loud at that insane first chapter (even though it is unfortunate that some people are assholes like the guy in that chapter)!
The romance is so cute and sweet! I was squealing inside quite a few times!
This book is super hot when it gets to that part of the book and it’s done in a tasteful yet sexy way.
The storytelling is good.
There’s a peacock towards the end, it is so fun and cute!
The narrator of the audio edition is excellent.
Cons:
Unfortunately, like a lot of these kinda books, it is very predictable.
The solution to a big problem in this story is very abrupt.
Overall:
Despite a few minor nitpicks this is a great book.
A surprisingly great story with characters I loved right away, a sweet and sexy romance, fun humor and an adorable peacock towards the end. I don’t know why you wouldn’t read this.
Highly recommended!

“I missed your smile, your laugh, the way your hair would fan out across my pillow, the scent of your skin, and the enjoyment you get from Sudoku puzzles. I missed the way you drop everything to watch Big Brother. I even missed how you pour a gallon of creamer into every cup of coffee and the fact that you carry around dryer sheets to put in your shoes when you take them off."
Great quick little read. The only thing I didn't care for was the POV being from h only. I like when I can see/feel the emotions from the H's POV but the author did a great job getting those feelings across anyway.

Rated Ex is cuter than anticipated, a sweet second chance romance between a couple separated by some misunderstandings and miscommunication, two of my least favourite reasons to separate a couple. Regardless, Rory and Mason's chemistry is an absolute delight to listen to!

This one had a fun and sexy second chance romance. It was a super quick listen (especially since I fast forward through all the talk before the installments) and I enjoyed it for what it was. It's been several years since I read any of her books (something I didn't realize until I looked at Goodreads) but I'll probably take a look at her backlist and see if there's anything else that interests me.

Sadly, this story was just okay. I just didn't feel connected with Rory and Mason. It was too short in my opinion to actually find any connection. The sex scene was okay but nothing to really go "WOW" over.

I enjoyed this story. I really wish that we would have got Wyatt’s POV, it would have made the story feel more complete. I liked Rory. At the beginning she really thought she was on a reality show because no human could be so masochistic and piggish. He really was the worst date! Mason was blindsided when Rory broke up with him but a work commitment in Italy kept him from going to her. The moment he got his chance he was on a plane to clear up a miscommunication he knew was the reason for the break up. He was head over heels in love with Rory and was willing to fight for his love.

Completely safe! No ow drama, om drama with bad date. Rory wasn’t ready to move on but was misled by her cousin on what the date was about. Both are non virgins. Both were celibate during separation. No abuse.

I don't know why, but this story was just kind of boring to me. It wasn't terrible but it's almost like I was listening just to listen and get it over with. Some of the dialog made me cringe - angel, honey (not as a term of endearment), etc. The story just seemed a bit silly more than hot. Overall I just wasn't that impressed.

After weeks of separation he's finally back in town and wants to clear up a misunderstanding that made her walk away. She forgives him...they have sex. End of story. As a reader I didn't feel connected to the H/h.
