While this is Book 2 of "Wheel of Crowns" series, i believe THE QUEEN OF WITCHES can be read as a stand alone and still be enjoyed as much as if it's read in order.
This is a quick and fantastic read that I ripped through between dinner and bedtime. Any review i write will not do this story justice. It has best friends and big brothers, cute boys and new powers and a dude named "Sammy".
Action packed, this story is full of character and charm (and demons of course) and then pages practically turn themselves.
I absolutely recommend this story!!

Edited 5th December 2019- This is definitely one of my favourite reads of the year- if not ever! Just finished re-reading the first three books in this spellbinding series, so everything is fresh in my mind as I dive into book four! Brilliant....

It is addictive reading- a riveting, action-packed paranormal fantasy, with witches, werewolves, warlocks, psychics, soothsayers, vampires, supernatural creatures, magic, fate, missing keys, bloody battles, intensity, drama, choices, changes, chemistry, friendship, different factions, hidden agendas, and much, much more.
Charlize Galloway (Charli) has begun to think that there is something seriously wrong with her, because ever since she turned 18, strange things have been happening and she can’t work out why. Then things take an even stranger, but sexy turn, when two gorgeous strangers arrive in town- both vying for her attention. One promises to help her discover ‘who’ she really is and to teach her about the unusual things that seem to happen around her. The other needs her help finding something very important. But danger isn’t very far away, and soon Charli will need to choose who she will place her trust in. There is quite a lot riding on her decision. Who can she trust? What will she choose? OMG! Where do I even begin to do this book the justice it deserves! It is so funny, emotive, exciting, fast-paced, intense, touching, romantic, and just plain incredible. The story is told from Charlie’s perspective, which I loved- but I really wanted to hear from Jameson too- especially after meeting him briefly in book#1 and being so intrigued by him.
Ms. Elledge is a gifted storyteller and excels at original, and intricately detailed world building- bringing the whole story to life. She’s a masterful storyteller, that’s for sure!!
Without a doubt, one of my favourite series, ever!!
Book three is set to be even better!!

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns #2) by Brandi Elledge was a fast pace, action packed, intriguing read, that had me hooked form start to finish.
The second book in the Wheel of Crowns series, and just like the first I could not put this book down. Something to know about this series, it can be read as a standalone, so if you haven't read the first book, no worries, cause you can just jump in right here. But I do suggest reading the first book cause, it's just as outstanding as this one. The attention to detail, the plot, the characters, everything was on point, engaging, pulling, and man at one point I forgot I was reading I was so absorbed in this amazing fantasy world that Brandi Elledge has created. This book, this series, is a must read from me, and it's probably one of the best I have read so far this year!
So if you haven't guessed, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

I couldn't wait to read this the second book in the series. I definitely wasn't disappointed. The author really has kept the flow of the series. I found that I was glued to the pages and couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
The bond between Charlie and Jamison is just magnetic. I found that the author had just enough drama surrounding them that one just couldn't put the book down. I like how their bond grew between the two as they battled to possess the key. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and the series.

Charlie and Jamison love story is more of an adventure than just a love story. Again with a fantastic cast of characters like werewolves vampires seers and death, the story is elevated to fantasy adventures. There is something in this book for everyone! Although I don't want to give to much away and having read the previous book in the wheel of crown series, I can tell you the search for the keys plays a major role in the book and the lead seer is still medaling with futures. This book and the series are worth the read and I definitely recommend them.

Wow, Book 2 in The Wheel of Crowns Series has just stepped up a notch. When I thought the suspense, action, adventure and sexiness of the men in Book 1 was a lot, Brandi Elledge brings us The Queen of Witches. Once again the read was captivating, thrilling and action-packed from start to finish and I couldn’t put it down.
This was a mentally, visual read that with the descriptive writing I could picture this read in my mind while reading it, I loved this take on the supernatural world and can’t wait to see where the rest of this series takes us. This author has created another extremely independent, fierce and amazing lead female, that through this story continues to show how powerful she can really be and how well she transitions into this new life she has come unexpectedly into. Once again the immediate attraction between out two main characters Charlie & Jamison is real to watch develop, even with everything they have to face they still manage to find the time to really look at each other and see the feeling and affection that blossoms there.
Another thing that Brandi Elledge brings to each of these books is the humor element of the story, and this time it was in the form of the incredible friend Tandi, I absolutely loved her, I loved her commentary that she would give and the little comments slipped here and there into the conversation just made this book even better.
My only issue is would love this read in dual POV’s there were moments in this book and Book 1 that you really needed to get the male leads POV, I think that would just make these reads that one step deeper.
Overall I have loved everything from this author, there is not one thing I can fault about this epic supernatural realm I've been cast into and I'm loving every second I'm reading of it! Do not miss this read, I will eagerly be awaiting Book 3 to see who’s journey we face next!

It is a story that pulls you in from the beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down. It is a story that has action, danger, the paranormal, and romance. I loved reading about the character of Charlie. She is intelligent, beautiful, and stubborn. She is a young woman that since she turned 18 has had strange things happening around her. Who are the two handsome guys that have shown up looking for her? There are revelations and Charlie finds out she is a witch. Danger follows her as she has made the Prince of Hell mad and he is coming for her. Will Charlie be able to master her magic to defeat him? Will she find help along the way? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Charlie is a character that I couldn’t help but care about and root for her to succeed in all that she does. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters. There are those who are helpful to Charlie and I enjoyed the bantering/interactions that occur between them. Then there are those who have evil plans and intentions. Will they be defeated? Charlie’s parents died in an accident and it was her brother who took on the responsibility of raising her. Knowing it was hard on her brother, Charlie didn’t want to burden him when her powers started manifesting. She doesn’t believe in the supernatural so she just thought there was something wrong with her.
Two hot guys show up in town. One wanting to help her and one needing her help. She decides to trust her gut and drag her best friend Tandi along for the ride. With evil warlocks and the Prince of Hell after her, Charlie will need to learn how to use her powers fast.
There is so much action in this book that I couldn’t put it down. The romance between Charlie and her soulmate was nice. There was an immediate attraction but with the slow buildup leading to them being together added another layer to the story. Charlie is one powerful witch because when she learned to control her powers, she kicked ass. She is a strong female lead which I love. Her time in Hell proves it yet again. I enjoyed the reappearance of certain characters from the first book. There were some surprises that the author threw in that will shock you. I loved this book and can’t wait to read book three about Tandi.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book 2) by Brandi Elledge is another great story in this series and I absolutely have fallen in love with. I love the paranormal fantasy world Brandi has created and am drawn to the struggles and triumphs these wonderful characters are faced with. I love the humour that makes me laugh out loud, the mystery of not knowing what is coming next and the faith these paranormal creatures have in themselves and those that mean something. This is one action packed and enthralling read that will have you riveted to your seat. The only thing that could make the story better is if it was told in the male POV as well, which we all know is something I love.
Charlie lost her parents and her brother has taken over the role of parent but he is not around much as he makes his own life but she learns that her parents and her brother are not what they seemed. Now she is faced with being able to do strange things and two strangers to town mean she is a major player in the war. Witches and warlocks, werewolves and vampires, demons and many other creatures fight to the death to find the keys.

Now on top it off, two hot strangers are in town vying for her attention. They both say they can explain what is going on with her and help her. But which one can she trust? And is there more to the story? She doesn't realize just how much she will learn about a world she didn't even know existed. What will she do when those she loves are threatened? Can she become what is expected of her?

I didn't like this book nearly as much as the first in the series. Charlie was way over-powered, for one thing. She's just so amazing and so powerful that she can do literally anything...except when she needs to be captured, threatened or kidnapped. Then she's suddenly too tired or has a magic chain on her or something. Charlie was also boring as heck. She was literally the least interesting character in her own book. The dialogue felt really...off somehow. I can't quite put my finger on it. There were times when it flowed nicely, but other times I felt like I was reading a middle school creative writing assignment. Tandi could have been a more interesting character than Charlie, but she seemed to exist solely in the background. Whenever it was inconvenient for her to be there with her human limitations, she was napping. Seriously, the girl slept for half the book! I guessed pretty quickly what was coming for Tandi, and I wish the author had kept it a secret. I would have liked to be surprised.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book 2) by Brandi Elledge is a paranormal romantic suspense. This story follows right on the edge, with a slight overlap, of the first book of the series - The Werewolf Queen. In The Queen of Witches, the author delivers more paranormal elements and the reappearance of several characters that were supporting in the previous book. Charlie is different, she knows it, but she doesn't let it deter her from living her life in the way that she chooses. However, everything is about to shift for her as everything she thought she knew is about to explode.
Brandi Elledge keeps up the amazing character development in this second novel, along with introducing new elements. The story was fast paced, but not rushed. The right elements are added in the story to give it the depth needed, while maintaining the intensity of the story and drama that continues to unfold. A remarkable series with each story building expertly upon the previous story.

The Queen Of Witches is a fast paced and easy to read novel that can be read as a standalone in this series. It follows main character Charlie and Jamison as they search for a lost key. Talon is the antagonist in this novel who is very secretive and persuasive. He seemed charming at first though. I loved how honest and straight forward Jamison's character was. He basically laid everything down before helping Charlie learn to control her new powers. Charlie was definitely my favorite character because she had so many similarities to myself. I loved that she trusted her but and let her bff Tandi be part of everything. The storyline was addictive and easy to follow since it was full of amazing characters. My imagination went wild with this novel. I look forward to reading more in this series and definitely recommend not only this book but the first book in this series as well.

This book is another very quick read. It's pretty enjoyable until the end. There are also a few parts were the writing structure feels off.
The best friend, Tandi, described as chubby and absolutely gorgeous. She is a fun character with a confident personality. Her weight, figure, and eating and exercise habits are mentioned often which is unnecessary but easy to take in stride without a negative thought to it. Until she goes through a change and quote "went from a size twelve to a four." She goes on to stats "I have collarbones. Jenny Craig couldn't touch this, baby."
As a YA novel, this is unacceptable representation, especially when throughout the book it felt like she was being built up as a relatable and amazing character who's weight shouldn't define her beauty standards. To have it all torn away at the end like that is atrocious.
Finally, there should be a trigger warning for torture. I was completely caught off guard with that towards the final chapters of the book.

Could you even imagine being so different that you fear yourself? I know I couldn’t. To be so young and frighten. Charlie has three choices. Lose control and do harm, go to training or give up her powers. I know what I would choose. It’s a big responsibility to have such great power. I was excited about Talon until the author introduced Jameson. Can we say Hot. Not only was he yummy but also a werewolf. I think he fit Charlie so much better than any other character. I really liked Tandi. Her character kept the book up beat and entertaining. The author put together this story nicely I just wish the theme was different. Everything always comes down to war and the end of the world. I still enjoyed the story though.

Just as in the first book, we meet a young woman discovering who she is and what she has to offer, power wise, to the supernatural world. Ariana (the seer) from the first book, has sent Jamison (a hot werewolf prince) to Charlie to protect her. Ultimately, there are underlying reasons but as a seer, you cannot divulge them so that you won't alter their future. As in the first book, Charlie is the key to finding the key to the porthole to protect everything and everyone she loves. It is something that every supernatural being wants to get their hands on. Talon is there with an ulterior motive to get Charlie to come with him to a "supernatural" camp where she can train and learn more about her deceased parents.

I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t realize until halfway through this that the entire series is YA. It is a little irritating because there isn’t much relationship building between the main characters except casual getting to know you, but I like these books for the adventure and camaraderie more than anything else. Jamison is super freaking old and a powerful werewolf hybrid prince. He’s sent to find Charlie after being told she would help him find the key he needs. Charlie thinks she’s a freak. She’s been manifesting powers for a while now, but has no idea what they are or why they are happening. Her and Jamison try to find this key while simultaneously teaching her control, getting information about who she really is, and battling the Degenerates. It was a good read. Will definitely be reading Tandi’s book.

Where to start is an understatement to say the least. Ms. Brandi Elledge wrote an exciting book 2 The Queen of Witches. Charlie, the main female character, in my opinion is an amazing. She lives believing that werewolves do not exist. She is having a hard time because there are things going on around her and she does not fully understand what is happening to her. But reality hits her when she is kidnapped and forced to wed a warlock because she is a witch. The story progresses from this point with excitement and romance. Will Charlie get away from those who want her to marry the warlock? Will the werewolf find her? Will Charlie get the hang being a witch? I cannot wait to read the third book to see what happens to Charlie next.

Just like the first book I completely devoured this one, once I started, I couldn’t bring myself to stop. The storyline is action-packed, intense, detailed and addicting. Plus, it flows perfectly no matter what order you choose to read the series in.
I love how Brandi is able to provide such easy to connect with characters and humor all while still keeping up with the dark storyline.
I can’t wait to continue the series and would recommend it to anyone looking for their next paranormal read, this is one you won’t want to miss!

This series is amazing! I absolutely love the adventure that abounds in these books. This being the second book in the Wheel of Crown series, I think it showed that not all series are redundant. I like that each book focuses on someone new but it has the old and familiar characters there to help you follow along. Like with the first book, the characters are people I just want to be around, for the most part anyway, they make me laugh, and yes they make me cry just a little. This book was thrilling yet sweet and by the time I finished it, I couldn't wait for the next chapter in this epic journey.

This second book in this series was as fun and fast as the first. It wasn't quite as good as the first one but it was still fast paced, action packed and carried on with some well loved characters as well as introducing us to a whole new set of them!
The baby brother werewolf was front and center in this one and I just adored him.
The side character best friend was funny and spunky and I actually really enjoyed all of the side characters.
This author creates characters that you root for and get invested in. And she does friendships really really well which is one of my favorite tropes in books.

Sassy, sweet and sensational! This second book is every bit as captivating and unputdownable as the first. It's a perfect standalone book because you truly can dive into this without any prior knowledge of the world.
Ms. Elledge creates a paranormal fantasy world with good guys that will endear themselves to you and baddies that you can't wait to see meet their end. The dialogue is highly entertaining, and you'll adore the bestie dynamics. The way that our hero treasures the heroine while still encouraging her to retain her agency is just everything! And let's not forget about Sammy...

The Queen of Witches by Brandi Elledge is the second book in the Wheel of Crowns series. Charlie has turned 18 and things are getting weirder by the moment. She all of the sudden is having odd things happen around her and she thinks she might be causing these things to happen. This is a great second book in the series. The story is fun and interesting. Also, Charlie is smart and funny. The story had moments that had me laughing while also keeping me reading to find out what was going to happen. I can't wait to read the third book in this series. This is a fun read with a paranormal twist.

The Queen of Witches is the second book in the Wheel of Crown Series and i liked it even more than i liked the first one. I couldn't put this one down and before i knew it i was all the way through it. There was a lot of things happening in this book and i am happy to be just reading about the crazy things they're dealing with instead of actually being there. I enjoyed the characters in this book so much and we got to see a few characters that were in the previous book and i enjoyed that a lot. I am looking forward to reading book 3 in this series and i would recommend this to a friend!

Once again I am in love with this book series. Tandie and Charlie are a fun and funny duo of best friends. I love how accepting Tandie is about Charlie being a witch... let alone the Queen of Witches and Warlocks. Jameson is a nice balance to the story of a girl who needs to accept herself and her powers. I was living for Charlies brother Wes aswell, Mr. Bad Ass undertaker was suprisingly funny and I cant wait to read more about him in future books. Once again 10 outta 10 will deffinalty read again.
