Unsongs in a fantastic album, and this book accompanying the project has mostly well-told stories about the songs, combining travelogue, history, documentary and personal reflections. Only occasionally does Moddi's narrative get annoying - some infodumps are a bit tough to get through, but worse, the first three pages where he just brags about himself almost made me put the book down. But from there on out the stories get the attention they deserve. Like the songs, these are stories that need to be heard, told in a relatable way. There are some really powerful moments here, and I learned a lot, and felt a lot.
