Michelle Medlock Adams is a best-selling author and an award-winning journalist, earning top honors from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Hoosier State Press Association.

This book made the perfect complement to my quiet time. Although some books can be read from start to end, others take time to soak in. This was that kind of book. I enjoyed reading a chapter and then reflecting on it. Adams and Jett take the precious metal platinum and compare it to the type of Christian faith we should have. Turns out, the qualities of platinum run parallel to our spiritual lives, from its rarity to its ability to resist corrosion. I especially appreciated the authors' transparency as they shared their own experiences and also the consistency with which they incorporated Scripture and biblical research.

We are all works in progress, so don’t be afraid to find an area in this book to challenge you to grow. I know I found several areas of my life that I got challenged in but Isn’t that what we all want? – to grow – So, as we become more and more Christ-like, we will be pointing others to Jesus as we go further and deeper in our Faith Journey. One of the most exciting aspects of Platinum Faith is that after reading it, we can then face an on-coming trail by saying, ‘Game on.’ ‘I’m ready to show how I will: shine like platinum, withstand the heat (even to over 3000 degrees Fahrenheit) like platinum, not allow corrosion of my faith but rather a building up to occur because platinum faith does not corrode easily, and I will be self-controlled – not reacting to every situation (high/low) by again demonstrating the characteristics of platinum – knowing that God is my Rock and Firm Foundation. I will use the platinum faith I have established to press in to God in the midst of the circumstance to draw nearer to God and grow in His likeness. In their first book together, best-selling authors Michelle Medlock Adams and Bethany Jett tackle a big subject: sanctification. How do we draw closer to God throughout our lives? How do we get through the hard stuff and come out stronger on the other side? In a unique twist, Platinum Faith approaches this topic in light of the metal platinum: it's valuable; it's rare; it's unreactive; and it's useful. These are all qualities we should possess as Christians, hence the idea that we should all seek to have "platinum" faith.

I really appreciated the unique angle of this book, the in-depth look at Scriptures, and the honest (and somewhat vulnerable) discussions of each author. This is a book you'll want to buy and keep in your collection for continued study.

As others have said the authors don’t shy away from the tough stuff. We all need to be reminded of the facets of faith than can change our lives around completely. Another exceptional book by Bethany Jett and Michelle Medlock Adams! I loved the way they use the metal platinum and it's qualities and physical characteristics to illustrate the lessons. Fun to read and the authors share deep spiritual teachings. Includes prayer prompts and discussion questions. I think this would make a great book for small church groups to use, especially women's gatherings.

I am reviewing a copy of The Platinum Faith through Abingdon Press and Netgalley:

In this book we are encouraged to strive for Platinum Faith and in order to do that we build up our Spirit with God’s word and getting to know him not just knowing about Him but really getting to know Who He is.

Platinum Faith reminds us too that we are useful. We are reminded too that God has a plan for our life all that we have to do is to take the time to be in his prescience and listen to him.

We are encouraged too to live brilliant and to pray protection over ourselves and our loved ones.

We are reminded too that we are precious, and that we are priceless, that we are valuable .

The authors go on to point out that growing our Faith does not happen accidentally.

I would recommend Platinum Faith to anyone who has ever felt they were not enough, it would also work great for a Women’s Bible Study Group. I find this book to be worthy of five out of five stars!

Do you enjoy a book that tugs at your emotions? Causing you to laugh on one page and cry on the next? A book that speaks to your heart, touches your life and remains in your thoughts: Platinum Faith by Michelle Medlock Adams and Bethany Jett. The book is written in an easy to read conversational style and the personalities of the authors shines through. Michelle and Bethany are both beautiful and successful women who look like they have it all together. But what comes across in this book is that they are just like you and I. They don't pretend or put on an act; they are authentic and transparent, sharing personal stories and testimonies about their own faith development. And I loved learning about the "twelve unique properties of the precious metal platinum to show us how to embrace our true worth and cultivate a deeper faith in God." I knew I would not be disappointed in this book - the authors are the "real deal," a dynamic duo using the talents God gave them to help others...and encouraging us to do the same. Platinum Faith is a must-read; add it to your Christmas Wish list!

I loved this book! Reading Platinum Faith, for me, was much like having coffee with two of my best friends! The book is an upbeat reminder of who I am—and a very serious look at encouraging yourself and others to confirm and claim the purpose filled plan God has for our lives! The ups and downs of that journey are attended to with humor, firsthand stories, scripture, and love--just like sitting around a table with good friends. I was humbled, encouraged, challenged, and lovingly affirmed throughout the pages. It is an easy, familiar read--the perfect gift to give someone you want to encourage and love. I intend to buy one for each of my “coffee buddies”, as well as several women in my bible study group. It could also be used as the basis of a bible study, using the questions for discussion at the end of each chapter. Well written and much appreciated!

Michelle Medlock Adams and Bethany Jett apply the properties of platinum to a faith journey in a practical, easy-to-understand way that is backed up with scripture and filled with personal experiences. The authors offer applications and takeaways such that the reader is encouraged to pursue a platinum level of faith, growing closer to God along the way. One of my favorite chapters, titled "You Are Special," reminds me that I am highly valued (like platinum) and greatly loved by the Creator of the universe. Excellent read!

Platinum Faith by Michelle Medlock Adams and Bethany Jett is a fabulous read. Its analogy between platinum as a medal and our walk with God helps measure everyday activities to faith in God. I found myself carving out time in the day to read a chapter. Then, I’d talk myself into just one more! Michelle and Bethany get up close and personal to allow the reader to make connections. I gave Platinum Faith as Christmas gifts and plan on gifting several more. I encourage you to test your faith by reading Platinum Faith.

Sometimes it’s hard to know your worth. Too often, we get wrapped up in our to-do list and what’s around us to notice the signs that we’re loved and cared for. Much less feel important or a child of the most high God. Bethany and Michelle will feel like personal friends by the end of this book. But they’re fun and encouraging friends. Each chapter has a Q & A section at the end so this would be a great book with a bible study group or even to discuss and read with a dear friend.
