When the Council suddenly starts assigning Liv Beaufont dangerous cases, she’s automatically suspicious.
Do they want her dead?
However, she isn’t deterred when they assign her a case that no one would dare to go near. Even though Clark is worried for her, she won’t back down.
Liv is determined to prove that she’s a capable and strong Warrior.
She’s uncertain about is what’s hiding in the library. Decoding the ancient language of the Founders will take time. But the clues are adding up and Liv can’t ignore that more than just magicians are affected by this mystery.
It’s big. Much bigger than she thought. And more importantly, it’s dangerous.
Is it worth it to risk everything in the name of justice?

Another fun story featuring Liv Beaufont. I enjoyed many of the characters we previously met, especially John, Rory, Rudolph and Sophia. In The Definat Magician Rudolph plays a larger role in helping Liv with one of her cases and we learn more about Warrior Stephan. I feel like we are closer to learning what happened to Liv's parents, and I love how we slowly learn more about them as we learn about their interactions with the magical world. Liv shows the Council what she is capable of. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has for us in book 4.
Great series, I urge people to pick it up and read it.
A great series, plenty of Snark, Humor, and wit. I love the characters, my only complaint is a little light on the action and the development ofLiv’s powers.
Best series of books I have read in a while. I think I might have whipped through them a little too fast. Now I must wait for the next book. This makes me sad. And impatient. I’m not one to review a book like some others do. Being specific and what not. I just say if I liked it. And I did. Very much. Do I recommend this series? Oh absolutely! If you take my advice and do decide to try them out I honestly don’t think you will be disappointed. Now hurry and get book #1!
This as all Liv's series is a light and breezy read. The characters don't really take themselves seriously. If you like and are as sarcastic as I am your are going to love these books. If you think you know what fairy or gnomes are then think again became these books will change you whole way of thinking about them. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
This is another great story in the series of Liv Beaufort. The girl can get in some trouble but she’s making friends and learning how to work with other warriors she never thought she could work with.
I really love these books and this latest instalment does disappoint.
Loving the increased tribe that Liv is pulling around herself and looking forward to finding out more about her new friends and maybe some more backstory.
Great easy to read, fully immersive book. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another great Liv Beaufont book. I read this one straight thru , and wanted the next one right away. The characters and stories just keep improving. Book 4 soon , please
I loved this 3rd installment in the Unstoppable Liv Beaufont series, it just gets better and better with each book. This story has great action, a fast-moving plot, captivating characters and is full of intrigue, humor and challenges. You can not help but love Liv, John, Rory and Sophia, they worm their way into your heart, are full of surprises and you cannot help but want the best for them. I love her sarcastic lynx and Rudolph is hilarious. The secrets and surprises continue to slowly unfurl but you still wonder what the hidden agendas are. With dangerous Fae Queens, evil elves, demon outbreaks, uncertain allies and a council that seems to want you dead, Liv definitely has her work cut out. I look forward to watching her abilities and relationships continue to expand in the next book.
Another fun, and breezy book in the Unstoppable Liv Beaufont series. Liv is given an even more difficult case, and needs help in order to not get killed. It turns out that her ally needs help too.
More clues to the overall puzzle about Liv's family, and the Council come to light. And a veeeery interesting revelation. More background details for several side characters, so if you like John, Rory, and a couple of others, you'll be pleased.
Enjoyed the book, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Liv at it again,I really enjoyed this book.Liv is taking no prisoners.I have one complaint as a Florida transplant,it doesn't smell like ass.It does however suck a ass.😀.Her human family meets her magical family.
Well it seems like Liv is uncovering some great secrets. Her and Stephen work well together and even though she makes out she's a kick ass she has a soft heart and will help anyone. The council are still trying to get rid of her now they have her going after Demons. I think the fight with the demons were a little too easy it would have been nice if it was an actual fight considering they are supposed to be so strong.

So, I finished this book very quickly because, once again, I couldn't put a Sarah Noffke book down, as it was so good!
At one point, I'd even started to crochet, whole reading at the same time - something not easy for me, but I'd been neglecting all my crochet projects, so felt that I could do them, and read, at the same time!
I'm not sure that it was very successful, because crochet is all about counting stitches, and I kept losing my place, because this book was far more interesting to me! 🤣
I really am loving the multiple layers going on in this story. Every single character seems to have their own agenda - well, maybe not Sophia . . . but, then again, that little girl has a lot to hide right now, so even she should be included.
I absolutely love Rory. it's about time a Giant got a fair crack at the whip, and I laugh so much with the banter between him and Liv. John, too, is wonderful, and I just can't imagine what Liv would do without him. As for Rudolf. - well he's going to be trouble for Liv, sooner or later, and I hope I get to find out what he's doing with the Beaufont Warrior ring soon!
Liv is surrounded by so many strong characters, especially the Seven, the Magician families that live in the House of Seven! I'm still not sure who is behind everything that's gone so wrong for Liv's family, but if there's one thing I do know, she'll probably get surprised by who's for her, and against her!
Well, fortunately for me, I can go ahead with reading the next book in this series: Triumphant Daughter and, as it's now almost two in the morning, I guess it's time I put my Kindle away for the night, and catch up on the sIeep that I need, after reading all noightí
So, I'll leave you now, then come back here again, after reading book four, and I'll let you know what I think!
I have had a touch and go relationship with the Liv Beaufont series. On one hand, it is building towards what hopefully is a giant showdown with the big baddie, but on the other hand, each book ends rather lukewarmly. I anticipate a huge showdown, but it never happens. And I'm resigning myself to that fate.
I honestly was a little disappointed that I hadn't downloaded the next in the series for the airplane, because I was ready to drop right into the next book. (I know delta is like "we have wifi", but I'm skeptical. Too skeptical for my own good, probably.
We're slowly collecting players and moving them together, but I'm still not sure what the point of one of the earliest if not the very first scene was, because it was never revisited again.
I'm glad that we're learning more about the characters, I just wish there was a little more of some missing substance.
I love Liv! When we last left her she was on the verge of death still recovering from the bite of the Lophos but she’s back and the crooked council isn’t done with her yet. There are plots within plots afoot and the council is determined to send her on missions that will kill her. Can Liv survive the Fae Queen? Or the Demon outbreak? What is up with Stephan? Is he a fellow rebel or a warrior spy for the council. Once again we end the book with answers to old questions but a whole bag full of new questions yet to be answered. I loved the expansion of Liv as a character and the further world building. I can’t wait to see what happens next
Liv is now working on combat magic and who better to fight demons than someone who is just learning combat magic!?! Yes, some on the council are definitely wanting her dead. But a couple of the warriors step up to help her, love these guys and really hope they are good guys through the end! Before the demon killing Liv enlists our favorite fae, Dolph (I call him that because he doesn't like it) to help her on a mission with the Fae Queen and with Dolph in the mix, you know some hilarious antics will ensue. Oh, let's not forget Rory who is still on a mission to keep the giant sword safe and he introduces to a new character though I'm not sure if I like this one or not, time will tell.
Book three picks up from where book two left off, and leaves us with an open ended storyline- which means this is not a standalone book and needs to be read as part of the series and in order.
Liv has managed to show the council that she is a capable warrior- something Adler isn’t happy about. This means that suddenly she is being assigned to far more difficult and life threatening cases. And there are secrets she is determined to find out, because she knows something doesn’t quite add up…
This book is filled with magical action as Liv learns her craft. There are some mysterious threats, magical beings and all sorts of crazy goings on. This makes for an exciting, yet fairly clean read, one for urban fantasy fans to enjoy.
I gave the first 2 books in this series 5 stars each, for being an enjoyable read. In this third installment I find that the authors might need to keep track of their story - for example, Liv takes a 2 day break, has a sparring session and then comes back to council room, but then has another sparring session where she's described as having a couple of sessions a week, in a way that implies several weeks ..... all in 2 days!! Also, she goes round mouthing threatening everyone, but there's no follow through, so it starts to lose it's value. Not sure if I'll bother with the next book.
Liv has retrieved Rory’s sword and he’s made her one of her own. But the council has assigned her to what looks like a suicide mission. Travel to the fae kingdom and convince Queen to stop her people from enchanting humans. The last time this was negotiated, the messenger was killed.
Liv has also learned how she can read the ancient writing and it leads to an ancient secret. The kittens are adorable.
Footnote: 1) the narrator’s pauses at the end of every sentence is irritating.
Fave scenes: The fae & the hippies, Liv meeting Papa Creola, kitten bombs and Liv reporting to the Council after the demon hunt.
I love this series! It's got some great humor especially when she has to explain her magic to those who don't need to know how she did something (even other magicians). She has to deal with trying to protect herself emotionally from those around her who just want her to be safe and protect herself physically when she's doing her warrior duties. It's got great characters - mortals, giants, elves, magic tigers, lynxes, etc. that all combine for a great story. I can't wait for the next installation.
Every book Sarah writes seems better than the last. How she keeps up this momentum is mind numbing. So far this is my favorite of the 3. The humor is never ending, with Liv's quick wit and fascinating side characters. The dialogue is cheeky and always has a funny note or a point. No long internal dialogue that gets old fast and no ridiculous scenarios that make you roll your eyes. Liv is a great heroine and I wish I could weild magic just to be able to eat 4000 calories a day as Liv must so I don't get to thin. I simply can not wait for book 4 and hopefully even more there after.
If’s friend John, a mortal, is threatened with eviction from his shop but it turns out that Someone wants the giant’s sword! Liv has to get it from Rory and give it to some lawyers. In the meantime, she is fighting demons and making new friends. In this tale we have giants, fae, brownies, demons and all sorts of magical creatures. We have to continue on if we want to discover if Liv can find the evil Someone who is probably behind all the deaths. Suitable for all ages.
I will admit, I enjoy a lot of different types of writing. Genre, voice, pacing, etc. I am very open and forgiving, but this is GOOD stuff, people. I couldn't survive without kindle unlimited, because I read so many books in a year. I recommend this series to any fan of fantasy, and I don't mind saying that I am enjoying Sophia's series as much (or more) so you have that to look forward to as well! Recommended!
Guess what I found out after reading three books in this series ,it has no romance zip, zilch, nada and I don't care one bit About it. Liv is funny, smart and a badass totally girlfriend material I know but she carries her role efficiently that we don't need romance. The other characters soph, Rory and Plato are so cool. Imma gonna finish this series in no time. Liv here I come.
