This is a lovely little homage/reflection on the best kind of community one can find playing tabletop roleplaying games. The sequential storytelling is top notch, sometimes foregoing dialogue for pages to tell a lot of story through concise panel progressions. If you made friends rolling ones and laughing about it, this book is for you.

This slender comic grew out of a Tumblr blog the author kept for a while as a labor of his love for Dungeons & Dragons. The story told here is a very simple one of a teenage girl moving to a new town and feeling lonely at her new school until the school RPGers invite her to join their D&D group. Never having played before, she doesn't know what to make of it all, but by the end of the first session, she's made new friends. The panels mix her real life with the jungle adventure of the first session, and it's all very heartwarming and cute. Makes a nice gift for your favorite quiet elementary school kid.

A truly lovely book. There aren't many books that I would call 'lovely', but this is one! Having recently gotten into table top games, I resonated with this short graphic novel so quickly. So much feeling was conveyed with very little dialogue, it even made me tear up a little which I didn't think was possible from a graphic novel! A very short, but MUST read for anyone who has played table tops games.

Again, truly lovely!

Very much enjoyed this, but it was far too short! I love that it's just a quiet beginning because she doesn't have anyone to talk to, and then all of a sudden there's so much action going on. I need more!

Fantastic graphic novel. Really love the humour, characters, plot. It reflects a childhood that we've all experience in some way or another.
