Ten years ago, Harper ran so the men she cared about could live. There’s no chance of her ever going back to Stonewall—or of seeing Draven and her men again. They are gone, moved on, and she must do the same.
But they’ve not forgotten her betrayal. When Axel finds her, he’s determined to bring her back. When she left, she’d been their queen, the one to bind them together. Now, she is going to be torn apart, broken, and possibly killed.
One look in Draven’s eyes and she knows her future is no longer certain. She was born in Stonewall and will die there, at his hands. Before he strikes the killing blow, will she be able to convince him she didn’t want to leave?
Draven’s determined to rid his mind of this woman. She betrayed him, and the only way to deal with a traitor is to make an example of them. He will break her and make her regret every single minute she ran from him.
No one runs from him.
He owns her, and now it’s time for her to pay, once and for all.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
The conclusion was ok so the low score wasn’t for that but for Ian (her father) I was really hoping Ian would be killed in this book because that’s what he deserved! This piece of crap cheated on h’s beautiful and kind mother with a much younger whore and got her pregnant. He left his beautiful wife and married the whore playing happy families with his other new daughter all whilst the poor wife had to witness it. The poor woman was so heartbroken she killed herself. In the meantime Ian and his whore are all loved up and even laughed and ridiculed his former wife. He was a shit father who forgot about h in favour of his new wife and kid. He was a greedy corrupt cheater who deserved a fitting end. The heroine was rightfully angry with him and I thought finally a character who isn’t going to forgive and forget what her POS father did to her and her mother. Then towards the end we have scenes where Ian the shit and Hannah the whore are very much involved in h’s life. She even had Ian giving her away at her wedding! WTH? Is it an unwritten thing where every main character has to still have a nasty undeserving parent in their life just because they are your parent? This is the same father when pressed by H showed he would choose his own life over his daughter! I am so pissed off author gave this nasty man and his whore wife a happy ending. What’s worse author tried to show that Hannah the whore was a victim and actually a nice woman! No way was I ever going to like that whore after everything she had done in the past and no way was Ian deserving of a HEA. They should have both been killed off and I think that would have satisfied my anger on the h’s mum’s behalf. So angry about this!

So. Utterly. Disgusting. I have no words. Spineless heroine. She was physically and mentally abused relentlessly by the Hero throughout the book, but all was fine and dandy because he’s got a huge cock. The Hero dealt with sex trafficking which made him an accessory to rape and all sort of heinous crimes.
I don’t care what you think but this book was a fucking disgusting read. I want it obliterated from my sight.
I think, I liked this one more then the first book. It was more edgy. More on line. You know the one you struggle with your believies and how you feel about the characters. Those lines were crossed here and I was struggling. I was over the place with my emotions.
This is the second book in the Duet and oh man, did it blow me away. It's 10 years from where the first book leaves off. There is no way I can say much because I don't want to give the story away but the emotional rollercoaster this took me on was epic! All I can say is to get this book and see what has happened to Harper, Draven, Axel, Buck and Jett. I cried, I screamed, I wanted to throw my kindle against the wall. Just go get the book!!!!
I forced myself to finish this book but there are way too many things I hate about this story to list all of them but, here are a few. 1. Draven actually believed his father, even after he knows his father wants Harper gone. Really?! 2. Draven beats Harper with a whip so severely she's going to be scarred from it. 3. Harper then begrudgingly forgives Draven.....
I mean this list could go on for quite some time, the characters are more than flawed they really just need to be put down for the betterment of society. And most of all this is not a romance there's nothing redeeming about how they feel towards each other and when we read we typically suspend a certain amount of believability because we're reading fiction but this book would need way more than suspension. I wish I hadn't wasted the money, so not worth it!
WARNING SPOILERS!!!! Also i did write down the triggers in this.. so if any of those aren't to your liking you can pass this series.. if its not to your liking..
1.5 stars
I knew book 2 would be hard for many reasons.. i was so nervous after i read book 1 this was a fastpace book..very dark in some moments.. i had to stop a few times cuz some scenes were very tough to read for me but i pushed on since i wanted to what happened 😰 i felt bad for Harper since she wasn't in the wrong she left to make sure her guys were safe so i can't fault her for that but i do find her to be abut naive and weak... she accept the fate and punishment i wish she fought back more showed more backbone...and as for Draven well he was hot and cold.. he acted like a big time asshole in alot but in moments he was sweet but then became a asshole again so be prepared for that
Only 2 people are alive in the foursome 4..Jett and Buck are dead.. beside that i honestly didn't see the point of them sharing one woman.. since even the first book it was more Draven and Harper..even Alex felt that in book 1 and this book and he knew Draven loved her more and she him. ..it did take awhile for Harper to trust Draven again (did some time skips near the end) did wish he groveled more when he found out the truth even when Harper said many times the truth she never lied to him he just never believed her until they found proof..
Agnst, mention om she only been with one man, drama, secondary charas, sexy times,
Second chance 10 years later Hate sex, public exhibition Slut-shaming anal sex Violence Push/pull on both of them Sexually assaulted and abused (by a sex toy by a guard and draven didnt know about it but he killed the guy) spanking Mentions of human trafficking whipping (by a guard who was absuing her and some owner chick who owns a sex club Draven made her take that punishment by the owner for leaving him) Seperation 2 months Hea Epilogue

Holy Snap... I have no words... I couldn't wait for this book to be released. However I don't know what it was but something was a little off, hence the 4 stars After an ultimatum by Draven's dad, Harper left and she hasn't been back to Stonewall in ten years. She had a nice job which she enjoyed and she had a boyfriend. But she wasn't happy, she missed her guys, she missed Draven, but she knew she had to move on. Until the day Axel finds her and he drags her back to Stonewall. And she is shocked to her core on what has happened and what Draven and Axel has been up to. But there are unanswered questions, and Draven is hellbent on making her pay for running away and for a whole lot of other things she doesn't even about.
Definitely a good ending to this duet. Some parts Harper annoyed me. Parts where I wanted her to fight more and make them listen to what she had to say, but I do understand why she didn't also. Draven's actions shocked me and I couldn't believe some of the things he did, but then I did read the warning on the cover, lol. I hope that Axel gets his own story too, and that one is going to be hectic...
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! After such a strong first book, I didn't enjoy this one. It didn't make sense to me. There is no way the boys trusted their fathers, so to buy the lie so easily did not add up. They knew Harper, she was so innocent to their way of life there was no possible way she could betray them like they were told. I didn't like the way she moved on from her punishments. I wish Axel took her away. He was the only part of the book I did like. I also hated that two of them were gone. All in all, this book was a disappointing second book. It had such great potential after a string and demanding first one, but this fell short.
This is the most overlong two book serial convoluted mess of a romance and complete waste of my time I’ve read in a while. Sam Crescent can write some decent books but when she writes bad ones they are usually atrocious! This is a atrocious one.
The blurb described a reverse harem romance but this two book single story series is NOT that. I have no problems with multiple partners in love in a single relationship (hence my purchasing a reverse harem novel series) but this was not a mutual love fest. It was open sex for the purpose of manipulation and immaturity.
The male lead Draven was bipolar, in his crazy mood swings and in his decision making. The author blurbed about four male lead characters but the entirety of booth books was only about Draven. Axel was a barely there side kick who randomly helped the story along while Jett and Buck (both of whom I was very interested in, especially Jett) were killed off with hardly any growth time before the end of book one!!
Honestly, what was the point of four dudes if you were only going to write about one?!? What was the point of the WHOLE FIRST BOOK the “Initiation” which was to make a permanent fivesome, if you weren’t trying to make said fivesome a successful romance story?!? This in no way was a romance btw! It was a horrible dark erotica with little to no real working to make love work. It was so depressing too!
Then the author had the nerve to leave an open ended story for Axel, but I can not find any mention of another book for this character anywhere online. These books were published in February and March 2019 respectively and I only read this in August 2019. It’s possible she hasn’t released it yet but this author is pretty much a conveyor belt of spitting out books so by now there should be some hint of a follow up/spinoff.
Anyway, I was disgusted by this two book serial. I hated the entire storyline and the lameness of the supposed betrayal. The betrayal was so contrived that any mental deficient would have spotted it for the lie it was. I mean seriously, if you love someone you give them the benefit of the doubt first, before you become a lunatic! Basically, the trust of love would be the main reason you don’t just so easily believe the villain of the story, especially as you kept saying yourself that no one should believe the villain right from page one! Seriously, a ludicrous storyline that pissed me off!!
I liked the characters and really wanted a more likable story for them, but that’s not here. All five characters were wasted in this over dark/dramatic seedy underworld the author was trying to create here. If you want a decent dark romance by this author then read “Twisted In Chains” that book was so full of angst and heartbreaking situations that the love interests had to learn to survive and then heal to thrive from. For a short story anyway.
So this book left me spinning, but in a good way I think. This final book definitely wasn't what I was expecting. In some ways it was the dirtier and darker I wanted from the first book but not in the way I expected. It was filled with ups and downs, and a core of love that ran through the center of it all. And the HEA was totally wonderful and better than I thought these characters would get. And not to ruin anything but I would love to see more of Axel and what all he was hiding. But overall a good book even if it wasn't in the way I originally thought it would be; would recommend.
This book was very gripping. I really felt my heart go sideways at times. The writing was superb. 5 stars. The two main characters were so much in love that it hurt. I really hurt when I hated Draven for the pain he put Harper through. But I learned to let it go. The ending was freaking f fantastic. Thank you Sam for this book. Please continue to write masterpieces.
So, the first book in the series was good. I enjoyed seeing how Harper became a part of their circle. However, this was cut short way too quickly. To be honest, this series bummed me out. I cried my way through the second book. It was dark and depressing. I was so glad when I finished this book. I hated that Buck and Jett were gone. I hate that Axel doesn't have a book. Im so done right now!!
I was epicly blown away with this book, I mean book 1 was good and all but book 2, Jesus Christ there was so dark shit happening here that scared the bejesus out of me, there was also tears oh so so many tears. It was amazing I must say the book was gripping, dark and very sad, there was 1 thing I didn’t like and it broke me so much, it’s what happened to the boys damn I cried so much. Other then that it was an amazing book to read.
This book is the conclusion to The Initiation and it just blew me away the flow had me from the start I just couldn’t put it down it’s 10 years later and Harper is found and gets dragged back to Stonewell where Draven does some things that were a bit of a shock but these books are the best Sam Crescent I have read
You must read INITIATION first as this is the second and final book in the series. Although it could easily carry on but I’m glad The Author made the decision to end it after two books . Both books were sexy steamy and had a good story too . I am looking for more books now from Sam Crescent . Thank you Sam for two brilliant books xx
S.Crescent does it again. I love love love her books. I admit the cliffhanger from initiation shattered me. Craven and Harper survived thru it all. Now I'm waiting on Axel' s story..
This was everything I needed! I’m sad for what happened for them all to be separated and 2 of them are now dead I don’t want to give any spoilers because it’s too good to not read! There are so many twists and turns
Was a great conclusion and did enjoy it but for some reason it didn't held me quite as gripped and captivated as part one did. But as I say it's still a good conclusion.
A heck of a lot of trigger warnings included for this one tho.....
What a totally amazing book!! I just absolutely loved it!! Sam Crescent is an amazing author!!! I can't wait to read what she will publish next! A definite must read!! Happy Reading!!! :)
Ive read both books and holy moly, crazy intense, soo many twists and turns. I was so sad at what happened with the boys, but i loved the ending. I REALLY REALLY want to read one about Axel, what he's doing etc. Loved it!
I wished that the five of them had got their happy ever after. That was the only disappointment. Other than that, it had believable characters and great story development. I would recommend the series and the author!
Now that Harper is back with Draven, she never knows what to expect. He'd changed. He is even more dangerous, ruthless. Will they find that love again or will all the lies destroy them both ? You have to read to find out !! Amazing Must Read 💛
I enjoyed this story. I wished that answers sooner and for so much time to be wasted. It was so sad to really see that one of the men she was with die. Well died. I loved to see that one at least really looked for her. Instead of just staying in doing nothing and moving on to the next conquest.
I think this was the best 2 book series you have Ever done! Excellent,Fantastic,Wonderful! Thank you so much! I can't wait for the next books are released!
I love this duet, I was chomping at the bit to get to read more. The twists and turns kept it going. Looking forward to finding out what happened with Axel!
