That is a fabulous book. Fabulous because it’s clear, strong and totally understandable. Cutlers wise words have been translated and transformed into a book everyone can understand and easily get to grips with. If you didn't know, Cutlers original work is a most tricky read.

Also, I use the word strong because the book uses powerful and no-nonsense wording to make the reader totally aware of the pitfalls of mercury chelation. Some things must never be tried, used or taken and Rebecca is crystal clear in her insistence that some (many) options can very seriously and long-term injure a person.

It goes with the territory really as so many people arrive at mercury poisoning with multiple bad options already ingrained in them. The world is full of well-meaning practitioners who know just enough to really and massively hurt people. Mercury poisoning is a specialist subject and errors in detox protocols often cause terrible and long term health problems. Worth repeating that : mercury poisoning is a specialist subject. It is not a tag on, extra bonus, sideshow Bob kinda thing. You need specialist knowledge and this book will give it, explain it all and most importantly protect you on your mercury detox journey.

Oh yeah, if you need a reminder of what you are supposed to be doing, of what to avoid and why you are doing mercury chelation in the first place, this is a fine reminder to put you back on the straight and narrow. Only took me two days to read it.

Last point: my opinion is you do still need to read Cutlers original work to successfully navigate mercury poisoning, but this book makes understanding what's required significantly easier.

Great job.

This is the only time I’ve given a book a 1-star rating on GoodReads. I do so here because the mercury chelation method outlined in this book is extremely dangerous and can be potentially devastating to your health.

Since reading this book I’ve encountered many people who have been grievously harmed by attempting this protocol. ALA, DMPS, and DMSA are weak chelators and cause toxic metal redistribution, and DMSA causes kidney damage. Do not attempt this.

If you’re mercury toxic, look into OSR. It’s the only chelator that is both safe and effective that I’ve found after investigating this topic for several years.

A good book on heavy metal detoxification, easy to read and i got many valuable insights from reading it but it's definitely not a complete guide to detoxification and detox support, the Andy Cutler community has unfortunately become a bit of a cult and is very dogmatic and closeminded

Going to be putting this into action over the next few months.
My memory should improve by then, allowing me to remember to update this review.

Chelation 101. A “how to” book with important chelation info but little info why it’s important to do things a certain way (for that better to read Amalgam Illness). Have been researching chelation for a week and already knew 90% of the info presented here. It’s basic. Also, it’s missing critical info on how to open drainage pathways before starting chelation, which if not done could backfire.
