I loved this book! No, I really mean it. I LOVED THIS BOOK!! It was soooo good. Sweet, funny and sexy good. And when I say funny, I really mean hilarious.

There was a lot of this:

A lot of that:

And a little bit of:

Honestly, I was laughing my big ass off all over the place. It was a bit hard for me to even stop laughing when I read ANY scene with Mr. 51, especially in Chapter 12. I'm just saying. This author has the magic touch and has created a spectacularly refreshing story!

I rated this book so highly because of how it moved me. I busted a gut laughing. I felt the emotional turmoil of the characters. I was caught up, involved, and invested in Brent and Aubrey's relationship. I was in it with them. The third wheel if you will. I was in deep. And I loved every single minute of it.

Brent's POV, aside from his dialogue, came across like he was breaking the fourth wall. He was talking to me. Little ol' me.

Got me blushing all over the place Dude!! The conversation was full of his scintillating wit. Aubrey's POV had a bit of that as well and it worked in this story's favour by drawing me in and making me feel like part of the process.

Brent and Aubrey were smart, clever, and incredibly sexy together. I can't recommend this book enough! If you like romantic comedy, do NOT pass this story up! I'm still chuckling over every scene with Al. These two were such a hoot!!

What Fun!! I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet and steamy I hate you/ I want you/ I love you story and had a smile on my face from the very beginning!

We start of with Brent.. hot hockey guy that has puck bunnies lined up wherever he goes.. he was the darling of the league and his team in Las Vegas. but partying too much has team management concerned....

Enter Aubrey, life coach to those that are in the spot light. The team feels that bringing in Aubrey to help Brent clean up his act is just the thing to get the team's mojo going again.

but this life coach and her student meet before she makes it to Vegas.... stopping in Minneapolis to visit her sister Lainey on her way to Vegas..she ends up at a party and wakes up in the bed of one seriously hot guy after crashing the night before from a little too much alcohol. What follows is some hilarious banter and insults followed by them parting ways thinking neither will ever see the other again...

Until they do!

Add in some hot chemistry, the ability to drive each other nuts, her contract, and one crazy glowing green alien vibrator... and you've got a perfect easy sweet read. I loved Aubrey and Brent was awesome. He had been a man ho, but he was decent and nice guy! Loved watching these two fall for each other.... but there's a clause in her contract that might make them being together impossible.

So I give this one 4 stars.. it was an easy read with very minimal drama or angst with lots of funny moments and plenty of chemistry! Definitely a great book to read when you are looking for something a little lighter in between angst filled or dark reads and you need break to cleanse your pallet a bit.

It was pretty cute.

It's nothing special, not a memorable read or anything, but it wasn't bad. The two had chemistry (nothing to write home about but not lacking either), the characters were pretty decent (although again, it felt like they were the same person but with more swearing), and it made me smile from time to time.

So it has all it needs to be a typical romance, although it has nothing to make it a great one.
Cute, sweet, maybe even funny, but normal. Good enough for a lazy afternoon though.

3.5 "hat trick" stars

hmmm...interestingly weird bunch, these hockey players are, don't you think? LOL

back to the real stuff...

The story of Brent Oliver, a star hockey player with a "wrong" lifestyle, ends up in an contract induced "lifestyle" that includes a 24/7 life coach, Aubrey Shelbourne. Nothing unusual about that except the night before they met in somewhat awkward situation. And what starts as an animosity sparks ends up being a total change of not just a lifestyle but of a full blown take on life and love to go with it. BUt not before, some trials and errors would be amended...

This was funny but awkward at times...sometimes I thought the actions were pretty immature and childish for the characters but then again, their age being 22 and 24, do in fact seem a little bit too young for such "roles" to play...

secondly, sometimes the realizations of the "funny" situations were awkwardly described in my opinion! for example

but in general, it was a simple, just ok read, for me with funny moments and crazy/funny talk, a sassy love/hate interaction, a little bit of drama and some steamy scenes, one might enjoy inspite the "little awkward" facts that I found, yet you might not find substantial in any way, at all.

Yeah no, this author's writing does NOT mesh well with me.

Full of cringe-tastic dialogue that's supposed to be funny but felt flat (I mean, I smiled maybe 3 times? Out of sheer second-hand embarrassment and mortification) as well as odd situations that made me want to facepalm myself so hard, I didn't like neither lead character, nor their friends.

Y'all, the characters in this book are the type to talk to themselves aloud, okay? I do that too sometimes, but never as embarrassing as what they do in this book. Oh man, it was definitely a cringe-fest. Great concept, and generally I'm 90% not picky with this kind of narrative/writing. But... this was too much for me. Characters need to get a big reality check. Will be staying away from this series.

Destiny on Ice by S.R. Grey
Stands alone, but this is first in a new series. Hockey Romance.
Destiny on Ice by SR Grey was a fun and sexy, fairly low on angst enemies (not really) to lovers story. I didn’t read the blurb going in, so at first I felt a little disappointed that within the first few pages, I thought I basically knew the story. I did, but reading how it played out was a ton of fun.

Brent Oliver is a hot hockey star. He has endorsements, loads of fans, and is in high demand. But he and a couple of his teammates have started enjoying their fame a bit too much, and the girls, the drinking and partying has started to affect their game. They know they have to get back into shape before the season begins again, so they are throwing one last blowout bash at their summer home in Minnesota before heading back to Vegas for the season.

Aubrey is a life coach to the stars. She is a bit uptight, and she takes her job very seriously, traveling around the country, staying where the clients are for weeks at a time. Her next assignment is in Vegas. All she knows is it’s a hockey player. She has a few days before she needs to be there, so she visits her little sister in college in Minnesota before heading to Vegas. Little sis is a wild one, and brings Aubrey to a party to loosen up a bit. It’s been a long, long while since there has been a man, and she needs some flirt practice.
“Beneath my jeans, I imagine my lady bits making a little sign of the cross, praying to reverse the curse of the dreaded dick-drought.”

Aubrey sees a totally hot guy, and wants to stick around to find him again, but after getting a bit too drunk, things don’t exactly go as planned, and she wakes up the next morning in bed with the gorgeous guy with no underwear! Gorgeous guy in now creepy pervy panty-stealing guy.

One of the best parts of Destiny on Ice was Aubrey’s inner voice, her thoughts cracked me up! But there are a lot of things in quotes that make me think she often talks out loud to herself, which I found a little strange. It was hard to tell what were thoughts and what was spoken at times, but it was funny either way.

Of course you know what happens next…Aubrey’s assignment is none other than gorgeous, creepy, pervy panty-stealing guy.
“I hate him but my hooha disagrees”

The sexual tension keeps growing between them, until she passes a sex store while running errands. She has never done this before, and embarrassed, grabs the first two things she sees, and let me tell you, I was cracking up! An Area-51 themed sex toy is a recipe for laughter!
“Brent 51 is halfway inside me and glowing like an alien ship has just docked in my vagina. Even, er, enclosed like that, the thing is still mega-bright. So bright, in fact, that my whole bedroom is glowing an odd shade of green.”

I enjoyed that there was no instalove and they they became friends before anything else happened. It was cute that it took Al for him to step up, but the whole scene made Brent look like a fucking idiot. It went on too long, though there was a cute scene later with Al that made up for it.

Likes:

•I loved Aubrey’s inner voice.
•Brent 51.
•Brent turned out to be a good guy.
•Good setup for a series.
•Laughed out loud several times.
•Sexy scenes.
•Fun banter
•The chapter titles were awesome.

Dislikes:

•Knew the story right from the start.
•The part with Al made Brent look like a total idiot, it went on too long.
•I had trouble differentiating between Aubrey’s thoughts and what she says. She seems to talk out loud to herself a lot.

The Down & Dirty:
Destiny on Ice by SR Grey was a fun and sexy sports romance. Though the storyline was predictable, it was a ton of fun watching it play out. Aubrey was fun and likable with an awesome inner voice, but sometimes it seems she was speaking her thoughts out loud rather than thinking them, I wasn’t sure. I love the banter in an enemies to lovers story, and there was a lot of it in Destiny on Ice. All in all this was a light, fun read that kept a smile on my face the whole time.

RECENSIONE QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

description

2 World of Mehhhhhh Stars

I'm not going to waste much time on this one, guys and ghouls. I am several reviews behind and honestly I've already forgotten most of this unspectacular romance.

It's a hidden romance between a life coach and a hockey player who's gone off the rails just a bit...

There are a few funny moments but mostly it's just a whole bunch of unnecessary drama and chaos coming between characters who fall in love ridiculously quickly. I didn't connect with either of them and the sex scenes, excepting the first, only existed off page.

There is this thing with commitment to action that is hugely lacking here. If you are going to have an elaborate sex toy described, along with the embarrassment of realizing what she just purchased, in the story and later used in the story. AT. LEAST. HAVE. IT. HAPPEN. ON. PAGE! I shouldn't have to mention this, this should be obvious!

If you like Sports Heroes you may find some fun and humor here, but honestly I've read way better. Onwards and Upwards.

Beautiful

It is my first book of this author and when I started reading I was not convinced I liked it. But as the story unfolded it became better and better to the point I had to finish it before I put it down. Both characters I loved at the end and I'm waiting anxiously for Nolan's story hopefully will be equally good.

4 “Zamboni-ing the Ice” Stars!

S.R. Grey delivers a sweet and sexy hockey romance that integrated humor, banter, romance and friendship wrapped in a nice little package with characters that were easily relatable. This is my first book by this amazing author and she delivered a brilliant story about two characters that know what they want out of life but are struggling at finding their footing in order to accomplish their goals. Sometimes life has a way of throwing you into situations that you least expect and you find the answers to questions you didn’t even know you were asking.

Brent Oliver has been living in hockey skates since he was three years old and has always dreamed of holding the Stanley Cup over his head one day just like his dad. Deemed “The Golden Boy” straight out of the draft, his reputation has pushed him front and center on his team and straight into the limelight of the media. But something seems to always happen late in the year, the team seems to get plagued by bad luck and they can never pull through and win in the playoffs. Tired of the desert and the funk the team seems to be in, Brent decides it’s time to head home to Minnesota with his two best friends, Nolan and Benny who also skate on the same line as him, and party and relax on the lake for the summer. Life seems to be fun and carefree, but the debauchery had over the summer may not be the best remedy for their woes. Management does not seem to care for their creative lifestyle and there’s punishment coming down the pipe that they never even imagined.

Aubrey Shelburne is a workaholic and her entire life revolves around her job. She doesn’t even have time to really spend with anyone other than the client that her job deems is her next assignment. As a life coach, she literally has to be available at the drop of a hat. She’s missed too many family events due to her job and her life contains no spontaneity. And she’s had just about enough so she decides to surprise her sister Lainey at college on the way to her next assignment. A small layover in Minnesota means some girl time and the possibility of cutting lose and getting into a little trouble. What’s the worst that could happen?

A drunken night ends up with her in bed with a stranger and an incident with her underwear. The man may be hot but he certainly treats her rudely, even though it is his bed that she woke up in. If she never sees this man again, it will be too soon.

Then life can sometimes seem cruel and karma can come back to haunt you. Her worst nightmare seems to come true – her new client is none other than the man she woke up in bed with. How can she be professional when he only seems to bring out the worst in her? Will she be able to survive this new assignment?

I loved the banter between the characters and found myself smiling and laughing throughout most of the book. I loved seeing the characters interact and how the tension seemed to be present almost from the beginning. The tension seemed to palpate off the page and you could feel the force of their attraction jump up and grab a hold of you within the words. Grey did a great job with secondary characters and giving you small glimpses of the people that were most important in their lives. I feel like she teased you with just enough information to keep you intrigued and left you wanting to know more. I loved the hockey references and how Aubrey learned more about the game as the book went on. Her friendship with Benny and her smack-talk with Nolan brought smiles to my face throughout the book. I loved seeing how she interacted with Brent’s best friends and developed her own relationship with them. One of my favorite parts is how Aubrey learns how to turn hockey talk into foreplay. I enjoyed watching Brent and Aubrey discover new things about themselves with one another and allowing themselves to open up and be vulnerable.

While this book isn’t insta-love, there is insta-attraction between the characters. I have to admit that early on in the book I felt like there was more telling us what was going on than showing us so it took a little longer for me to get hooked into the story. But as the story developed, I found myself anxiously flipping pages to see what would happen next. There are parts of the story I wish the author had expanded upon or given us more depth, but overall, this story was an amazing tale of overcoming adversity and realizing the strength and power of love.

If you are looking for a fun and sweet story filled with humor and lots of witty sarcasm and banter focused on hockey players, DEFINITELY pick this book up!

Excited for the next book in the series about Nolan! I will definitely be picking it up.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Hockey player, Brent Oliver is living the life. He’s drop dead gorgeous, has more endorsement deals than he knows what to do with and he has an amazing career. Well not so fast. He’s currently suffering in that department. And management needs him to fix that. ASAP. Enter Aubrey Shelburne, a life coach to the rich and famous. When these two meet, they realize that they know each other already. From a night of partying. And now? They must work together and have a strictly platonic relationship. But that spark from their first night continues to grow. Is it possible for them to pursue this without destroying everything they’ve both worked so hard for in their prospective careers? Or will everything just burn up in flames?

I loved the relationship between Aubrey and Brent. Their banter was what made their relationship work. But it was their attraction that made the book. It’s was magnetic. Addicting. You could feel their spark light a match right off of the pages. The sexual chemistry was off the charts. There was also a vulnerability of the characters that could be felt through their powerful connection to each other. As they got deeper into their relationship, they both realized that there was no turning back. Their love was selfless in that their devotion to what has happening between them could cost them everything. These two understood that they could lose everything just by loving each other. But isn’t love worth that risk?

The writing was flawless. The pacing was perfect and kept me engaged from beginning to end. The author’s talent shined through her characters. Not many authors can pull off a male’s pov, but Ms. Grey definitely can! She captured both voices so well in a seamless dual pov narrative. Although a bit lighter than her usual reads, this book without a doubt still had the author’s refined prose as well as some emotions that she’s known for. It was definitely a sports romance comedy, but there was some depth to it. The author perfectly balances humor with an engaging storyline that will have you laughing out loud and feeling the turmoil these characters face as they deal with the aftermath and consequences of their actions. Destiny On Ice was such a fun, romantic, and sexy read. Brilliantly written, the author delivers some of the wittiest dialogues and a confidently written story that I could not put down.

4.5 - 5 Team Braubrey Stars

I do love me some sport romance and I've been missing that lately glad to rectify that with a good hockey one at that. Plus you know that cover doesn't hurt at all. Add to that a rom com and I'm definitely sold.

I'd like to first say kudos to the on point hockey info, I believe this is S.R. Grey's first sports romance a hockey one at that. Well done research and hockey informants. Plus I never thought of hockey penalties as innuendo. ;)

Brent Oliver star player, golden boy of his team the Las Vegas Wolves ( not the best name but cough way better name than the actual ) is in a slump. Once a force to be reckoned with has lost his mojo so to speak. Happens to the best of athletes but he doesn't know why. Parting hard in the off season has brought on the need for a life coach. In comes Aubrey Shelburn, they had a memorable first impression, now his life coach until things get back in track.

These two butt heads so much they create their own banter, rileing each other up. The chemistry and tension is there especially since they're together 24/7 in close contact. Oh the antics these two have are hilarious, constant one upping the other. Verbal sparring is their foreplay slowly segues into a comfortable friendship of sorts.

Even with them getting along though. That desire for one another prevails. Maybe also along the lines of wanting more. One tiny snag though there's that no fraternization clause. All bets are off when it comes this budding romance that can't be denied. I adored Brent and Aubrey such a fun rapport they had and it never felt like a weighed down relationship even though they are coach and client. Aubrey is sassy and can hack it with the hockey boys. Brent is a softie and romantic at heart even if he wasn't before.

Sports romcoms are great. Each moment in the story never missed a beat. I definitely want to get to know the other guys Benny and Nolan. Such likable characters and appealing in their own ways. like what I see. Destiny on Ice is a light, cute, flirty, good time sports romance with hot hockey players that's enjoyable from start to finish. A delightful read that I couldn't get enough of.

S.R. Grey’s DESTINY ON ICE is an amazing start to the Boys of Winter series. Hockey star Brent Oliver spent too much time partying this summer. As a result, his team assigns him a live in life coach, Aubrey Shelburne, to get him back on track. Interesting enough, Aubrey just happens to be the same woman he woke up to this morning after the party at his house the previous night. This contemporary sports romance primarily takes place in Las Vegas and Minnesota. It is suitable for new adult and adult audiences.

I like Brent. He has a lot of pressure on him being the son of hockey great Billy Oliver; a two-time Stanley Cup and two-time Conn Smythe trophy winner. He is the captain of the Las Vegas Wolves and dubbed “The Golden Boy.” His two friends and line mates, Nolan Solvenson and Benjamin Perry are his partners in crime.

Twenty four-year-old Aubrey is pretty conservative due to her career as a life coach. She needs to set an example to the high profile clientele she is assigned to. She stops in Minnesota to visit her sister Lainey to help celebrate her twenty-first birthday Wouldn’t it figure, the one night she decides to let loose she ends up waking up next to her new client. Talk about awkward. The two have a pretty crazy start. Literally, they both think the other is insane. Their conversations are very amusing. They face some interesting situations and have great chemistry. I love their bickering and how they try to get on each other's nerves.

They are admittingly attracted to each other, but they are off-limits to one another. Well in theory anyway. I felt bad that due to Aubrey’s confidentiality agreement, she couldn’t talk to anyone about her situation, especially her sister. The Area 51 scene was amusing. I enjoyed the plot. It had stimulating twists. The characters are lovable and well developed. I love how the story ended. I enjoy S.R. Grey’s writing style. This was the first book that I have read by her. I definitely plan on continuing to read this series. I am looking forward to Nolan’s story, RESISTANCE ON ICE. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

The first book in S.R. Grey’s new series “Boys of Winter” is a light and sweet romcom, with an enemies to lovers trope that I enjoyed very much. The characters are well-developed and engaging and, in my opinion, this series has got a lot of potential, with the great cast of secondary characters. The hero, Brent Oliver can be a bit of a jerk, cocky and obstinate but he has a good heart. Due to his drinking and partying habits, he has lost his drive, his commitment to winning. And as captain of the Last Vegas Wolves hockey team, he feels responsible for his team’s bad results.

Aubrey Shelburne is a professional life coach hired to get his life straightened out and monitor his drinking and training. Obviously, no mean feat! Although Aubrey is a sweet and friendly person, their first encounter is very awkward, Brent is convinced she is a crazy psycho and refuses to work with her. Aubrey and Brent’s verbal sparring was so much fun. Aubrey has no filter with Brent and he tends to drive her crazy! He fights her on just about everything but he likes that she calls him out on his bad behavior. She is determined, challenges him and is real with him. Their antics were hilarious. Their burgeoning chemistry was obvious and their banter becomes a form of foreplay. And even if they both know that a relationship between them could harm Aubrey’s professional reputation, they are not very good at hiding their feelings!

Overall, I enjoyed this charming, witty and heartwarming story. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining sport romance, this book is a great pick!

This is a new author to me and after reading this hilarious sports romance I have to ask why I haven't read any of S.R. Grey's books!!!!!
Hot sexy superstar hockey player Brent Oliver has it all as far as looks and charm go but he has lost his hockey mojo and nothing seems to be working for him.
Aubrey Shelburne is a life coach and she is used to dealing with celebrities who are full of themselves but she has never worked with anyone quite like Brent.
Aubrey gets dragged along to a party by her sister and she wakes up hungover, pantie less and in a hunks bed little does she know that hunk is Brent Oliver her new client.
What transpires from that moment on is an hilarious, laugh out loud rom com. I could not put this book down and I hope we get more in the Boys of Winter Series. I'm not going to give too much away you need to read this book to find out what happens with a glow in the dark Area 51 vibrator.....
Fantastic, funny read that left me wanting more from this author

This book was exactly what I needed while nursing this cold from Haiti that just won't go away! God Almighty I had a great time reading! **HUGE SMILE**

So, the drunken one night stand you thought you'd never see again ... until you do! :) (can you feel how hilarious and fun this book is just from that? YOU SHOULD) I knew I would love Brent & Aubrey's journey the moment I started reading their first meet ;) Good times people, GOOD TIMES! The chemistry between these two was ridiculous! And the banter ... #perfection.

S.R. Grey continues to stay on my radar because her work hits the mark every time. This was a fun, flirty, sexy, non-angsty read full of emotion and laughter and heart. Excellent afternoon read for everyone!

The first thing I need to say is that I am a HUGE hockey fan! This book was super exciting for me and I have never read a book like this before! I absolutely love S.R. Grey's books, so when I saw that she wrote a book about romance and hockey, I just about died. This was the most perfect book ever and I can not wait to share my review with you guys and all my hockey loving friends! Do you guys like hockey? If so, leave a comment below with your favorite team!

"Look at him, Lain. I bet your romance authors would have a blast writing about a guy like him." "They would, and they do write about guys like him," she assures me. "All the time in fact. Why do you think I read so much?"

Grey introduces us to a hockey player named Brent. Brent's dad is pretty big in the NHL and Brent has a huge name to live up to. Brent plays for the Las Vegas Wolves, which is a pretty cool name for a hockey team! Going off topic a little.. Las Vegas did just get a hockey team and they are calling themselves the Vegas Golden Knights. While reading this book, I couldn't help but think that the NHL should have let Grey name their hockey team. Las Vegas Wolves sounds pretty badass if you ask me! Back to business, Brent plays along side his two best friends: Nolan and Benny. The Wolves used to be a really hard team to beat, but lately something has been a bit off. The team is requiring Brent to get a life coach. Yup... a life coach, you read that right! That is how we meet Aubrey. Brent and Aubrey have a little tiny bit of history. They had a little confrontation at a party a week prior! You will definitely have to read that part for yourself! I can not spoil that incident for you guys. sorry! Aubrey becoming Brent's life coach changes everything. Will Brent allow Aubrey to be his coach? Is it even up to Brent? Can Aubrey work with a client that once stole her panties? These two are in for a big surprise!

"I hate him, but my hooha disagrees."

S.R. Grey writes such lovely books! I fell in love with her Promises Series and am now falling in love with her Boys Of Winter series! There is something about her writing that just grabs my attention and keeps it! Her sentences are perfectly written, allowing the words to flow smoothly through her readers minds. I love the stories and the characters that Grey creates. Her characters are so complex and easy to relate to. Relatable characters is always a huge plus because the reader can put him or herself in the book along side them. I know I definitely felt like I was right there in Brent's house watching him and Aubrey argue back and fourth.

I totally fell in love with Aubrey! She is so serious yet so funny! Her inner voice had me dying of laughter. That girl thinks about some crazy things. The sexual tension in this book was super intense! I do not think I have ever read a book where the characters wanted each other so badly but took forever to act upon it. Overall, I loved the story, the hockey, the romance, the characters, the drama, and just about everything! This book was a really cute, fun read! I am a sucker for love stories and I can not wait for the rest of this series! I am still in shock and I can not believe that there is actually a hockey romance series! S.R. Grey rocks!

This book is something I'd classify as guilty-pleasure, something that you read when you don't feel like reading anything complex, just something to get you out of a reading slump. It was a funny read and quite hot, but not something extraordinary. The characters were very immature at times and some actions were unbelievable. Like it made you think 'this could happen only in a romantic book/movie', for example their first meeting (girl goes to a party, she sees very hot guy, she ends up drinking too much and falling asleep in a random room, which happened to be the said hot guy's room, she also throws her underwear somewhere in that room and in the morning she wakes up to see the hot guy sleeping next to her. This makes her think they slept together and much later, that he stole her underwear). Doesn't this sound a tiny bit ridiculous???

Caratteristiche: sport-romance, carriera e amore, divertente, sexy
Stile narrativo: scorrevole
Tipo di finale: auto-conclusivo

5 I'll Never Think of Area 51 the Same Way Again Stars!!!

This book was such a needed reprieve from the seriousness of some of the other books I've recently read. It was lighthearted and funny and the chemistry between Brent and Aubrey was oozing off the pages even though they didn't want to admit it to each other.

The book starts a couple of days before Aubrey is to start a new assignment as a life coach to a new client that she knows nothing about, except that he or she is a celebrity of some type. Instead of getting ready for this oh so important assignment, she's convinced by sister to go to a party that's being thrown several miles from her house so Aubrey can relax and let go so to speak. And let go she does with some headache inducing consequences!

And those consequences show up the next day in Vegas when Aubrey meets her new client! I have never laughed so hard in my life as I did while reading this book! There's a particular scene when Aubrey has decided to use some recent purchases that result in glowing lights, embarrassment and letting the whole world, or a particular person, know how you feel about them and not on purpose!!!

Brent and Aubrey, even with their differences bring out the best in each other and they both need to remember there's more to life than work, work, work! Pick this book up for a hot, sexy and funny read that'll make you smile from beginning to end!

Brent is a big star in the hockey league but all that celebrity status has gone to his head. He's gotten into all kinds of trouble and made a bad reputation for himself. His team is left with no choice but to bring in Aubrey to be his live in life coach. Things are tense with these two from the start. There's so much snark and hate but there's also an underlying spark waiting to be lit. There's so many reason to resist this thing that wants to brew between them, one of the bigger reasons is that it's specifically forbidden in Aubrey's contract. Choosing to be with Brent would mean losing her career over but certainly they can keep this thing between them a secret, right?

The drama in this book is on the lighter side. It was a quick lighter hearted read. The actual game of hockey was mentioned quite a bit. Sometimes you read a sports book that really has nothing to do with sports other than a main character being an athlete. This book had quite a few times where the hockey game or concept was front and center. This only book one in this new series so I can't wait to see where the series goes next.

Not going to lie, Brent is kinda of super arrogant in the first couple chapters. I thought who the H E double hockey sticks does he think he is.... But I'm so swooning for this gorgeous whiskey eyed bad boy now. He's a mess but so is Aubrey. Life coach! Ha! She's like super put together for everyone but herself. It's like a backwards joke! But I seriously love her quirky characteristics. And the trip to the adult store. Hold the laugh in people or don't... I didn't lol it's one of the best hockey romances/comedy's I've read in a long time. Really great storyline and just all around amazeballs!

Brent Oliver has it all, or does he? Brent is a hockey player in Las Vegas and during the off season he takes a few friends and heads home to Minnesota for the season to relax and party for 3 months. Aubrey Shelburne is visiting her sister in Minnesota for the night when her sister invites her to a party at some guy's house. She doesn't know who's, just some guy. They go and have fun but it changes when her sister wants to leave and meet up with friends, and Aubrey stays behind to have more fun. What happens when she wakes up in a strangers bed not knowing who he is and how she got there? Find out in this awesome read!!!

Destiny on Ice by S.R. Grey is book one of The Boys of Winter series, which has easily become my favorite Sports Rom Com. It's light, funny, sexy, and I just couldn't get enough. Team Braubrey all the way! I need some Area 51 in my life!

Brent Oliver has a legacy to live up to in his father's footsteps. His dad was a star and it's Brent's dream to have his father see him win the Stanley Cup. He is the Center and Captain for the Las Vegas Wolves and some say he is a natural on the ice, which has granted him nicknames like "The Golden Boy" and "The Next One". He is an amazing player and even better when playing alongside his teammates, Nolan and Benny (OPS is what they call the three together), but lately he's been falling short. Something is missing! Whether it's in the game or in himself, he doesn't know. He has spent the summer at his lake house in Minneapolis partying it up with his buddies. Drinking, sleeping with numerous puck bunnies, and just not caring at all. When he gets a call to head back to Nevada earlier than expected, Benny, Nolan, and Brent decide to have one last blowout.

Aubrey Shelburne is serious, career-oriented, and leads a routine-driven life. She is married to her job as a life coach to celebrities and professional athletes and although it seems like glamorous work, it kind of makes Aubrey miserable. These 'famous' people need a life coach for a reason and it usually takes months to straighten them out. Having a normal social life is pretty much out of the question and she has felt extra lonely as of late. When she passes through Minneapolis to visit with her sister, Aubrey is talked into going to a party. Just one night of abandon before heading to her next work assignment in Nevada couldn't hurt anything, right?

Not being a big drinker, let's just say that having a few had obliterated Aubrey. So when she saw a devastatingly handsome man with 'what she guessed' were sunflower brown eyes, the last thing she wanted to do was leave the party with her sister. She wanted to stalk this mystery man and please the lady bits that were screaming at her for release. But somewhere in the process of looking for her mystery man and a bathroom, Aubrey had ended up falling asleep in a complete strangers bed. She definitely did NOT expect to wake up next to sunflower eyes, which she can now see clearly are whiskey colored eyes, and she did not expect him to be such an a--! She couldn't seem to get away from him quick enough and found it a godsend that she had to leave immediately for Nevada.

Neither Brent nor Aubrey had realized what was to happen next when they both arrive at the same meeting in Nevada. Aubrey has been assigned to be Brent's life coach for at least the next four months and to say both are beyond disappointed would be an understatement. To Brent, Aubrey is crazy and uptight and in Aubrey's mind, Brent is an arrogant panty-stealer. *You'll get that part after you've read the story lol* It's a given to say that they haven't made the best first impressions.

Can they put up with each other for that long? Can Brent live by Aubrey's strict rules and give up his careless ways? Can Aubrey straighten Brent out and get him ready for the upcoming hockey season? When their endless banter becomes something they both look forward to everyday, can either of them hide the attraction that is growing between them? Being that Aubrey is employed by the team, any sort of relationship is strictly forbidden!

I highly recommend Destiny On Ice by S.R Grey as it was emotional and romantic in some parts while others had me in tears from laughing so hard. I don't think I've ever laughed out loud reading any other book the way I did with this one. This is my new favorite Sports Romantic Comedy and I look forward to reading Nolan's story next, 'Resistance on Ice'.

Hot hockey superstar Brent Oliver has it all—good looks, charm, dozens of endorsement deals, and a spectacular career.

Uh, nix that last one.

Is this relationship a disaster in the making?

Or is it destiny?

**STANDALONE NOVEL**

**EACH BOOK IN THE BOYS OF WINTER SERIES WILL FEATURE A DIFFERENT HOCKEY PLAYER'S STORY**

MY THOUGHTS:
I love sports romance, especially hockey, but throw in comedy, it’s a winner. This is the first time I have read anything by this author and it won't be the last! I enjoyed this story immensely.

Brent is a mess, both professionally and personally. He drinks too much, parties too hard, is a womanizer and it’s all affecting his game. He has lost his edge. He is the Captain and leader of the team and he is the franchises golden boy and he needs to clean up his act.

The team contacted Aubrey’s firm and hired her as Brent’s life coach. When Aubrey accepts a new client, usually a star or athlete, she goes in not knowing who they are or what their issues are. It could be alcohol, drugs, women, men, sex. That way she goes in with no preconceived notions until she meets the client and the client’s representatives. How she first meets Brent is a riot and so is their next encounter!

The chemistry between these two is off the charts. They try and resist the electricity that arcs between them at every encounter and they banter constantly. The supporting cast is a great group that adds to the story. It is so hilarious at times that I laughed out loud! There are also serious parts that made my heart hurt. I had the stomach plummets on more than one occasion. There is a lot of push and pull. Miscommunication and misunderstandings. Secrecy and eventual reveals that cost them both.

I won’t spill the beans any further as I want the reader to enjoy this wonderfully told story on their own. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
