While taking a group of tourists on a sunset tour of Bluebell Island, Fay Penrose finds the one thing no one ever expects - a human body. An elderly woman has tumbled from the top of Bluff Lighthouse onto the pitiless ground beneath. But did she fall or was she pushed?
Never one to resist the lure of a mystery, Fay finds herself drawn into a deadly game of fraud and deception. Whoever is behind it might just be her most ruthless opponent yet.

A great plot that showed the real evil that people hide behind their social faces. Had me wondering until near you the end. The characters are really starting to grow into their full potential and I love the way her mind works - almost comparable to Miss Marple. Taking her guests on a sightseeing tour should have been a pleasant time but for two things - a dead body and a cat that vanished from the middle of the road. The general consensus of opinion is that the elderly woman fell from the top of the lighthouse but she has her doubts that is cemented by the postal delivery of the dead woman's diary. Was she real in the early stages of dementia? A shipwreck leads to more questions. Now she is questioning in earnest. Can she find out what really happened? Was it really a moment of light-headedness? A lighter note is provided by the kittens that are now almost ready to go to their forever homes and the kiss she shares with David.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. The setting of Blue bell Island is perfect for engaging mysteries. There are lots of interesting characters and places. I love detective Fay and following her new life in the village. The fact that there is way too much good food and adorable cats and kittens just sweetens the read.
