RUTHLESS SAVIOR

After years as a lonely double agent, Zeke finally returns to the good graces of his home island of Paradis. Still, the Survey Corps refuses to let him meet Eren--the other ingredient in the earth-shaking weapon-- for fear the explosive duo will be impossible to control. Meanwhile, the public responds badly to the military's open distrust of their hero Eren, and the detention of the Marleyan volunteers spurs an uprising. Amid the turmoil, Eren takes matters into his own hands...

DAMN.
Every chapter of this volume is brutal, and shocking, and savage in its own way.
First, there’s the revelation that Zeke’s basically holding the entire Paradis government by its balls and can crush it at any time if he feels like it.
Then there’s a SAVAGE Eren/Mikasa/Armin (+Gabi) conversation that made my jaw hit the floor. FUCK, MAN!
After that, we finally get to see Levi GOING👏🏽THE FUCK👏🏽IN👏🏽 and whooping Zeke’s ass (and losing all of his comrades) yet again.
Finally, we find out who Zeke really is as a person, what shaped his personality, his motives etc. through his backstory. It was not what I expected tbh. It even made me kinda sympathize with the man.
The ending of this volume is Isayama at his finest, too - after all, he’s the king of blowing shit (minds, walls, titans, innocent citizens, asses) up and leaving it at that.

This was an entertaining and fast paced volume. That last chapter left me feeling a little confused though... so there's a whole group of people who are fighting to sterilize everybody of their race so that their race becomes nonexistant someday?? That feels weird and wrong on so many levels.

The grand scheme of Zeke comes into light and Eren turns out to be different than expected. One of the most philosophical volumes till now
Turns out the whole world was a colossal forest, where it was still kill or be killed

Sins and revenge carrying on generational might be the overarching theme of the series and here it comes into focus elegantly and touchingly. You can root for both sides, even if Eren is more than a bit of an *sshole in this volume.

If you can’t stand this world you’re going to have to change it

If we’d never been born in the first place we never would have had to suffer, either.

Sorry Zorro, Levi Ackerman is the coolest character in all manga and the most savage!
Brilliant how everything has been put together and masterful how well even the smallest of things dozens of chapters ago plays a crucial role and weaves into the plot!
AoT is awesome again!

English review: I’d like to start by saying that beginning with volume 23 up to this one, it feels like starting an entirely new series. That’s how much things change after the revelations in volume 22.
This part of the story takes place five years after the Battle of Shiganshina and reframes all the events that have occurred so far in a completely new light. It’s a much darker arc—not because it presents more graphic or cruel events (we’ve already had over twenty volumes filled with people being eaten by Titans and other brutal scenes)—but because the themes explored are much closer to our reality. I’m referring to genocide, xenophobia, and eugenics.
While earlier volumes only hinted at the absence of truly good or bad characters, these last six volumes make this abundantly clear. Eren’s story begins to mirror Reiner’s, and a new character, Gabi Braun, is introduced. Gabi is a rather annoying character, but her story reflects Eren’s journey from the first 22 volumes in a way that adds depth to the narrative.
Eren has changed significantly—he has essentially become an antihero. He is cold and brutal, committing atrocities without showing remorse, at least on the surface, and with a great deal of indifference.
For the first time, Zeke’s past is presented from his own perspective. If up until now he was despised, his actions now make sense, and you realize that his choices are rooted in positive intentions. But, as the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Levi has an incredibly epic moment that makes you question the limits of his abilities, and I’m curious to see what role he’ll play in the series’ finale.
The world of Attack on Titan expands significantly in these volumes, making it clear that all the nations in this universe will take part in the final conflict, which promises to be grand.
As such, I’m eager to read the remaining volumes. However, now that I’m caught up with the anime, I’ll have to wait for the upcoming episodes and the conclusion of season four.

Debo decir dos cosas:

Honestly there is not much I can say... This story gets better and better and I love literally all the things they talk about.

There are so much powerful quotes in this.

Not only that but after reading the manga online and now making my way through the physical version... Makes the re-reading experience better. So many hints...

This was such a great volume, as we have the military making their move against the Yaegerists and they wanna stop Eren anyhow and then they plan to stop him from meeting Zeke, then we have the story about Falco and Gabi and their new family going to the marleyan's chef restaurant and thats the best part when the whole truth about whatever happened to sasha is revealed, the drama thats goes on is wow and enter Eren and his crew and such an intense convo between Mikasa and Armin and him which was so heartbreaking, its such a character changing path. Meanwhile Zeke turns the other soldiers with him to attack Levi so that he could escape and its a beast ch when we have Levi attack and kill his teammates in such a brutal fashion and then the real story of Zeke and how he surrendered his parents to his real mission with the founding titan power so that they can no longer have children. Its something and like so well done and changes things drastically for all the characters going forward and the art is a delight to breeze through.

Levi, humanity’s strongest fidget spinner <3

-Zeke’s story is one of the best redemption arcs in this series, and it shows just how much conspiracy and corruption can be misleading.
