On a beautiful summer day Rebekka's life changes forever. Devastated, she struggles to somehow find the will to go on—to live without the one person she thought she could never live without.
Handsome widower and longtime friend André Perrault would like to help her find joy and love again, but Rebekka's determination to hold onto the past makes a future relationship doubtful. Or does it? Can André find a way to heal Rebekka's broken heart?
Rachel Ann Nunes (pronounced noon-esh) learned to read when she was four and by seventh grade knew she was going to be an author. Now as a stay-at-home mother of seven, it isn't easy to find time to write, but she will trade washing dishes or weeding the garden for an hour at the computer any day! Her only rule about writing is to never eat chocolate at the computer. "Since I love chocolate and writing," she jokes, "my family might never see me again."
Rachel has over sixty published books, including the popular Ariana series and the award-winning picture book Daughter of a King. She enjoys hiking, swimming, spending time with her family, reading, and visiting far off places.
I liked that all the loose ends were tied up. I love the characters and I can't even imagine the hardships they've gone through, but maybe that's what makes them so likeable.
If you have been following the saga story of Ariana, then you won't be disappointed... This Perrault family sage continues as the family experiences heartache and joy in this wonderful roller coast ride living in France. An LDS, clean, romance book, there are surprises and a wonderful epilogue which satisfies and ties up all the loose ends. I feel that these characters are my real friends and I have enjoyed reading about what goes on in the family.
I also think this book is helpful to widows and widowers who are experiencing grief from the loss of their spouse. As a widow, this helped me sort out my feelings for my husband and helped me cope with the marriage afterward as some of the characters in the book.
I nearly cried when I finished because this is the last book in a series that spans well over 30 years. I feel like I know these characters personally and have felt all their joys and heartache. This book, in particular, describes loss of a spouse, guilt of moving on, and dealing with children who have been abused, along with a hundred other smaller trials of everyday life. Another excellent read by Rachel Nunes.
Continuation of the children of Ariana which is the authors best series ever! This book was a two-nighter because I simply couldn't put it down. If I didn't have children I would have read it in a night! Heartbreaking tale of loss and guilt. Characters were real, bold, and enthralling. The ending was fabulous too which was a big plus. Loved it!
I praise Nunes for her ability to write engaging romance novels that are extremely wholesome and clean. This one is my favorite. I enjoy Nunes’ work because I know that each book will include a thought provoking, yet comfortable to read plot.
This was a great book. Pulled me right in and hardly put it down. It was sweet and tender. I laughed and got choked up. Clean, orbiting book. My personal favourite was the rapid run through epilogue. Loved it and I.m excited to read more.
Another in Ariana Series. Its the last one. I think it might be my favorite! I haven't read the 1st 4 or 5 of the series, but didn't feel lost where I started. Great love story!
