The pictures here are cute, but this book suffers from a major problem: The creatures depicted aren't actually unicorns. They're winged horses.
The story is fairly predictable. A "unicorn" named Blaze is born without a horn. But it turns out that an evil camel has stolen all the horns. So Blaze steals one back, the camel apologizes, and... I guess there's some sort of lesson here.
Huge chunks of the text were missing. At least, I'm assuming that's the case. There were some blank pages, and it seemed like parts were missing from the narrative because they were referred to later. I guess it's a formatting issue, but it needs to be corrected. I think a good portion of the showdown with the camel was missing, which is unfortunate.
Overall, I'm not impressed. The plot is silly, the "unicorns" aren't actually unicorns, and the formatting issues mean the reader doesn't get the full story. The illustrations are somewhat appealing, but even they can't save this one for me.

Sweet Little Story with a Message But Minimal Illustration
I have reviewed a few other of this author's children's books, I think about Nessie, which I truly enjoyed and thought children would love. While I like this book's little story and its gently delivered message about jealousy and friendship, I didn't like that there were just a few small illustrations. No full-page illustrations are in this book. Sometimes a lot of text goes along with one single image. I think that young children would not find this book visually stimulating enough to sit through the entire story and be enthralled. The story portion is cute with a good message; just the illustrations lack.
NOTE: I didn't realize that this was meant to be a coloring book until I saw it on Goodreads. (I got the eBook from a book review site since I had enjoyed her earlier works.) The simple drawings could be fine then, but there still needs to be more illustrations per number of words or pages, even if a coloring book.

This is cute and fun children’s book that is about a unicorn born without a horn. It is all about finding yourself, making decisions, caring and friendships, just perfect for a story about beautiful magical creatures. The illustrations were whimsical, colourful and charming, making them sure to catch a child’s imagination. The narrative is age appropriate and the subject matter positive in nature. Friendship was emphasized even for those who do something wrong. Forgiveness was another great message. The thing I liked the most was how the unicorn decided to try to get a horn, sought help, made a plan, showed bravery and compassion. In the end he gets his horn but not after some hard work. This teaches children that not everything they want is just given to them, they must work hard, and use decision making and critical thinking skills. This is a great book for discussion with your child on many different topics. What’s delightful book.

Sweet and easy to read, although the font is a little smashed together if you don't have it at 300% size in the pdf format. As an adult it was easy for me to read and the illustrations' are adorable. Unicorns aren't only for girls, boys love them too. So glad this was a story about a boy unicorn, and the author included things like "flexing his muscles", and being brave. My boys are young but love all magical creatures and mythical beasts and it probably started with Pegasus from Hercules.

On a cloud of sparkles and shining rainbows
This is a charming story about a unicorn, Blaze, who is born without his horn and how he goes on a trip to try and find it. Along the way he meets a girl unicorn and then he flies to the land of the evil camel who has stolen all the unicorns horns. He finds the horns but does he find his? Will he be able to return all the horns to all the unicorns across the world?

Beautifully illustrated, Sweet Story
I loved Blaze’s story - it reminded me of a story I loved when I was a little kid. I loved the acceptance lesson learned in this story, as well as the bravery and the friendship lessons. The illustrations were lovely and animated, which engages the younger reader as well - my little guy really enjoyed this story!

This is a cute little story. Could have done with there being a bit more challenge to facing each obstacle, since it felt like he got the solutions a bit too easily. But other than that it was great.

A sweet story about a unicorn who goes on a quest to find his horn, but finds more than that. It's a story about the worth of the journey, not the destination. Perfect for young ages and well illustrated.

this is a beautifully written and illustrated children's book that kept my kiddos interested and happy. Who does not like unicorns right? Loved it!

What a wonderful book for kids to read. Beautiful illustrations to help tell the story. Kids are going to enjoy this book. Great characters to follow along on this journey. Good family read.

Corny and Cute

This was the cutest little story about a new unicorn. It was sweet and had lovely illustrations and lessen to be learned. I'm sure that every kid would love this story. ♡

I don’t know why but everybody loves unicorns, let alone children. They are magical creatures that make us feel happy, tender and protective.
With its colourful pictures to attract children’s attention, they learn how to work hard to get what they want and at the same time to forgive when someone makes a wrong decision.
