Beyond An Eclipse
Never trust the words of an astrologer.
Memories of the past follow Omar at every turn. His mind often refuses to fathom the fact that he’s lost so much. Despite the pain and heartache, he’s intent on providing for Mohamed and Sara, two children he’s taken under his wing. They mean more to him than life itself. So much so, he’ll do anything to ensure their survival.
When the Mongols invade surrounding territory, Omar realizes his family’s livelihood is at stake. Intent on retaining his freedom, he uproots his beloved family, utilizing his knowledge of astronomy in the hopes of remaining one step ahead of the Mongols. To his dismay, however, he and his family are soon captured.
Omar’s circumstances change when the king learns about his astronomical prowess. If he’s to succeed in saving himself and his family, he’ll need to rely on the man’s lust for the supernatural. Taking advantage of the situation, he focuses on the upcoming blood moon. He soon sets a chain reaction of events into motion. Never once does he think about the consequences.

1 book3 followersRadwa Morgan is an Egyptian pharmacist who’s passionate about history and writing. She wrote her first story at the age of twelve, while creating a sketch for a school act. Upon writing her twelve page play, she showed it to her English teacher in the hopes of proceeding with the preparation for her act. The teacher urged her to write and express herself more and more. Since then, writing stories has become her obsession. She aspires in becoming a writer and published author.

In a time where the words Angels , Heavens and the Gods meant everything to the human world. A time ruled by prophecies , The readings of the skies and the might of the swords comes a very beautiful story ! Beyond an Eclipse by Radwa Morgan is that thrilling story that takes you back in time , to that world , a world where the Mongol Empire was at its full might and hungry for more. A Story of an Astrologer who becomes the unsung hero of Radwa’s well crafted tale! I have not come across much of novels in that period and perhaps this is my first ! Radwa has managed to pull me in from the first page to the last !
The plot is well prepared the characters are extremely rich, and the story by all means is thrilling and captivating ! For her debut novel , I believe she comes to prove that she is a very talented author who has yet much more to show !
What lacks this story is somewhat a bit more of description to the characteristics of the characters, background preparations for the readers since not every reader might be as aware of the period in which the events take place and perhaps a general overview of the political landscape and while I see these points as points to improve but the novel falls nothing short from a great read and an enjoyable experience
