The act of reading and memorizing this book was essentially the groundwork for a course i once took on this subject - which turned out to be my favorite course i have ever taken.
For those interested in science, language, history, or simply learning a bit more of the everyday words you speak, this is the ultimate resource.
You will learn how to define complicated scientific words based solely on the word parts used in them. You will learn how words like hippocampus are rooted in mythology and named simply by shape. You will learn about the four bodily fluids connected to emotions in our language, and lots more. By the end of this book, you will be able to define supercalifragilisticexpialidocious just by writing it down and spending a few moments breaking it up.
I highly recommend memorizing the word parts within this book and quizzing yourself on them- you will be amazed at the party tricks you'll be able to break out and the scientific language you'll be able to understand. I would (and do) recommend "Bioscientific Terminology" to everyone. Enjoy.

Vocabulary lists mainly, with some very interesting blurbs about the languages. Very good for deepening understanding of current terminology
