Filthy Riches is one of my favorite Lauren Landish books so far and I’ve read almost all of her books! This novel was suspenseful, romantic and a little emotional. I was never bored. I couldn’t wait to know more about the characters and their secrets. I also wanted to know what would happen next.

Filthy Riches is told from 4 points of views and there will be 2 couples. Given everything that happens and each character’s past/story, it made sense that there are 4 point of views. I adored both couples and I can’t tell you which couple I preferred.

The first couple is Nathan and Emma. They met each other at a party when Emma decided to help her sister. Nathan is immediately attracted to Emma and he wants to know more about her. Emma’s sister warned her about Nathan’s reputation, but she can’t stay away from him. Nathan’s reputation isn’t good. He’s dangerous, ruthless and cold. Emma sees another side of Nathan and she wants to know more about him. Nathan can be driven, caring, sweet and protective. Emma is a smart, loyal, sweet and loving.

The second couple is Kyle and Carly. Carly has been traveling around Europe. One day, she meets Kyle. There is something about him that makes her want to know him. Getting to know Kyle, that won’t be easy. Kyle desperately wants revenge and nothing or no one can stop him. Kyle is a closed off, strong and distant man. Carly is the opposite. She’s cheerful, optimistic, sweet, kindhearted and caring. Kyle will open up and change for the better. Carly is the perfect woman for him.

This book gave me whiplash, with 2 different couples (Emma/Nathan and Carly/Kyle) therefore, we get 4 POVs. I will admit, I did skim Carly/Kyle because I really couldn’t get into their story, and I really don’t think their story was necessary. Plus, it has one of my least favorite tropes. I did, however, enjoy Emma and Nathan.

This story has a lot going on, maybe a little too much. Of course, it has romance, but it also had adventure, murder/mystery and a little BDSM. I could say it was OTT and unrealistic, which had me rolling my eyes, but I also found myself getting sucked up into all the drama. If you could let go of your sense of “that can’t happen in real life”, and just go with it, you will enjoy the ride. I did.

That's what Emma Daniels felt when she first saw Nathan while pretending to be someone she isn't. The man is sexy, commanding, a who's who in the gem industry and definitely dangerous.

As Nathan would discover there's more to Emma than meets the eye. She's smart, fierce and she'll do anything to fight for someone if she felt its worth fighting for.

Filthy Riches is an engrossing story that will keep you in suspense as the plot thickens with more secrets, lies, intrigue, and romance. An adventure that will lead you to the remotest part of Brazil. One word to describe this book -- unpredictable! It was written with multiple points of view and each character are distinctively well-developed. I thoroughly enjoyed this story because it has all the things I want in a good book. Lauren Landish is a new author to me and so glad I found this gem of an author and I'm looking forward to reading more of her works in days to come. Looking for an amazing book, I recommend this one! Ok, HOLY FREAKING COW! This wasn’t just a novel. It was a full on adventure!! I’m talking I was up until 4am just to finish it. My device almost died twice and I was crazy to think I could just read this here and there while I began a new show to binge...WRONG. I made it threw one episode and then had my TV paused for HOURS.

1) Not only is this cover super sexy, but the content was SO MUCH MORE than the cover

2) it’s not just a He/she love story with bedtime scenes in every chapter, but 100% true suspense/mystery which held my curiosity throughout the story and a tad of sexy times sprinkled in-and at the right moments.

3) It was like having an Indiana Jones/Jewel of the Nile mash-up movie playing in my head as the story unfolded. It was awesome! [by the way, I’m aging myself with the movie references, but if you haven’t seen them you should]

4) So many characters involved in this story and instead of being overwhelming, it was PERFECT! They were all so lively and had so much personality- they felt real. Even the smallest characters felt like major characters in their own right.

My mind is blown 🤯 at how fricking amazing this book was. I’ve heard of the author and even heard wonderful things and have collected several of her books over time - I’m giving myself a big kick in the ass for not having read any of them yet. Because if I can manage to experience a modicum of what I did with this story, I’m DEFINITELY doing it. I already have a week on my calendar for a Lauren Landish reading binge.

This book was PHENOMENAL and I totally wish I could give it more than five stars.

Mind blowing!

As many before me have said it, this is Indiana Jones meets Lara Croft type of affair.
The plot is 3D, because it moves in so many directions and i’m not even sure there are two main characters or four.

There’s this guy, Michael Stone - modern day Indiana Jones and also owner of a huge billion dollars gem stones corporation who’s been murdered because of some sacred, ancient stone hidden in some cave in the deep Brazilian jungle. Two days after his death, his pregnant assistant get killed as well.

So here we are, with his two sons - Nathan and Caleb Stone trying to retrace their father’s steps and find who killed him and also find that gem. There’s also the assistant’s fiancé who’s looking for revenge/answers. Throw in the FBI, two girls (our heroines) and the Russian mafia and you have it all.

To say that the plot is complex it’s a huge understatement. It simply blows your mind with all the action and the developments and twists and eveything. Plus, there’s a dose of smutness that will leave you panting as well. I mentioned the four “main characters” because there’s also the parallel love story between Carly and Kyle.

One last thing, I don’t think the title is the best choice for this book. It has nothing to do with all the greatness inside. That being said, DON’T THINK TWICE and just read this book, especially since it’s free on KU.

Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading Filthy Riches. Needless to say, it completely blew me away! From the cover to the intriguing synopsis, the story had me hooked from the beginning to end.

Now this isn’t your typical romance story, it’s so much more when it intertwines four individuals who don’t know each other but end up getting caught in a dangerous game that involves a very powerful Russian gangster, treasure hunting and lots of twists to keep you guessing.

At the age of thirty Nathan Stone inherited a billion-dollar jewelry empire without wanting it in the first place. He is not a businessman, but a soldier used to being in war, full of adrenaline, adventure and action. Then something happened to his father and his world turned upside down. It was then that the things that he knew to be true, suddenly weren’t, and his father’s business, both true and dark was revealed. With absolute no experience when it comes to running a billion-dollar global corporation, Nathan had to go through a time when everyone in the industry thought he wasn’t going to make it work, but he did. He managed to make the company a success, but even with all the money in world, nothing compares to getting revenge for his father’s murder and will not stop until he finds out who did it even if it takes him on an adventure of a lifetime.

Emma Daniels knows what it’s like to want for nothing, as the daughter of a very wealthy family she is used to the luxury and expectations that come with being wealthy. But when she majored in Ancient Civilizations, he dad thought it was a useless degree and was devastated when she refused to follow with the family footsteps. It was her love for ancient cultures that ultimately lead her to acting and being cut off from the family. But when Emma gets her first role in an off-Broadway production, her excitement doesn’t last long when her sister Claire, an FBI agent, shows up asking for her help. All Emma is given is a name and simple facts about a dangerous man known as Nathan Stone and she is ready to help. What follows is a series of events that will lead her to uncover secrets, go on a treasure hun and most of all find true love.

Carly Edwards grew up with Emma as the two attended private schools together, debutante balls and enjoyed lots of wealth. She knew how fortunate she was, but she wanted more for herself and it is one day that she decided to follow her dreams. Now backpacking across Europe, Carly finds herself entertaining people and when she gets to Italy she feels at home. She is able to meet great people that help her along the way, but it’s one day that she stumbles across two man arguing and one getting knocked out that she finally sees the man who attacked the other and Carly is left speechless. He tells Carly to not say anything, which should have shocked her but instead left her intrigued about the handsome stranger. The sad yet murderous look in his eyes leave her with questions than she would like, but she is willing to get him to trust her to truly help him out. Little did know that she was about to step into a war of sorts and that Emma would also be involved.

Kyle has one thing in his mind and that is getting revenge on the murder of his fiancé and unborn child. As an ex-military he knows combat and how to strategize his attack. But when he finds out who the killer is he ready to leave everything behind and Carly shows up. He never intended to love anyone ever again, but Carly has shown him a new view in life and he doesn’t know what to do. It is when he finds out that the killer could be closer than he think he is ready to protect Carly with his life before it’s too late.

There is so much to this story that I enjoyed, from the character development of all the characters to the overall concept of the story. There is a true beginning, a climax and an ending that will leave you satisfied with the book. All of the characters have their own pasts, but they are brought together in a way that wasn’t forceful but clever. I’m not always a fan of books that feature more than your typical main couple, but this one is the exception to that since it was well thought out. Each couple has their own struggles and sizzling moments. Although the story leans more towards Nathan and Emma, we do get a lot of Kyle and Carly. I do wish the author could have added more details at the end of the story about them, I’m still happy with how things ended. We also get to meet Nathan’s younger brother, Caleb Stone and Emma’s sister, Claire. They are both secondary characters that brought so much to the story and I wish the author can write their story next. The twists in this story are clever and the ending will leave you swooning for the characters. I would highly recommend reading this book and I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. :)

Ok, done. Sorry, had to be done, ya know? Anyways, Filthy Riches is a little longer than a normal Lauren love story, and here's why. It's double the love! Two full romances that are intertwined and filled with adventure, best friends, bad guys, and heated moments. It was a fun read with a bit of mystery.

You have Emma (or Kitty, meOW!) who has a smarty pants job, is an actress, and gets mixed up with Nathan, who is all tangled up in his dad's gem business. Parts of that are shady, but Nathan is calculated and along with his brother, very successful. Then there's Emma's bff, crazy Carly, who is my favorite. She seems to have no fear and is random, jumps in with both feet, and has decided what she wants is Kyle's heart, which is broken and filled with vengeance.

I know that's a lot to throw at you, but there's a lot goin on. I think the best part of this was the double love story. Instead of splitting it up in two separate books, she weaved them together to make a fuller picture. It was unique and interesting.

Love Lauren Landish, love her writing and loved the adventure of Filthy Riches!! This book is jam packed with amazing characters that take you through so many emotions and feelings and excitement.

Not only are we taken on a journey with Nathan and Emma but there is Kyle and Carly as well. It's hard not to want to tell everyone in the review all that happens but it's really part of the journey for this book.

It is filled with twists and turns, high class parties, scary characters, parts take readers into the forest- think Indiana Jones, there is incredible chemistry between the characters, true friendships, great brothers and book you cannot put down. There are hot parts, sweet parts, loyalty and honest parts but it wasn't rushed or overwhelming- it flowed really well.

All I have to say is go read this book! It is a great one!

Filthy Riches by Lauren Landish is the story of Nathan, Emma, Carly and Kyle.
Emma is a actress on the brink of getting a acting job, but also works part time. Nathan and Caleb's father died all of sudden. This leaves Nathan to take over the running the Stone Corporation, a global jewelry company. Nathan wouldn't say he was a good man and he likes to control his feelings. Emma is asked by her FBI sister Claire, to go undercover to get information from the party that Nathan is throwing. Sparks fly between the two and Emma may loose more than her life if things go wrong. Nathan's feelings for Emma can't be controlled...something he never had to deal with before.
Carly is Emma's best friend, and is having some issues of her own. Kyle is a brooding man out for revenge for the personal loss he suffered is the total opposite of the bubble and full of life Carly. But fate has put them on a path to meet no once but twice.
This book sounds busy but Ms. Lannish writing has everything going smooth and hot. Loved it!!

Revealing the True Gem

This was the first book I have read of Lauren's and "oh my stars and garters", I am left physically and emotionally spent. Nathan Stone simmers with the words dangerous and sexy. He also has a battered and heart wrenching past that makes up the measure of this man. Emma, drawn to Nathan like a moth to a raging flame is swept up in his essence. They each have no control in the sexual attraction they have for each other. In Emma's case, she sees beyond the shell that Nathan keeps in check and can see into his very soul that holds the darkness he tries to hide. And that scares Nathan so that he is always in constant "flight" mode.

The intrigue, suspense and conspiracy in this story is compared to going on a quest for a holy grail. The supporting players, Kyle and Carly are a story on their own. Lauren cleverly intertwines all her characters beautifully. They beckoned to me to return again and again. They were hard to let go. I relished every word and did not want this adventure to end. Lauren has grabbed my attention, hook line and sinker and I have now jumped on the band wagon to stay.

I have read many books by Lauren Landish, and I can honestly say, I’ve liked them all....but FILTHY RICHES is a “whole different animal.”....It may possibly be the best book she’s written to date...And, BTW, you can NEVER go wrong with Stuart Reardon on the cover....He’s the sexiest thing in glasses since Clark Kent.....But, he’s just one of many reasons FILTHY RICHES is fantastic....❤️🌼🔥

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Holy Crap!! Lauren Landish has done it again! This book was off the hook and I was sucked in from the start and literally could not put it down. You will be captivated, it’s action packed, suspenseful, on the edge of your seat good, you will be waiting with bated breath for what comes next after every turn of the page. The chemistry between Nathan and Emma is deliciously yummy and Kyle and Carly are right up there as well. You will not want for anything in this book, you will see how Nathan and Emma are drawn to each other and that makes Nathan nervous, he can’t control his feelings towards her and hers for him. The outcome, however could be deadly for both of them. Such a great book, no spoilers from me, this is a must read for 2019, you will not be disappointed!!

This book was completely AMAZING. It was hot, it was full of adventure and suspense. I was completely hooked from the very beginning. It is hard to describe this book without spoiling anything, so all I will say is read it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

This is a longer book, but with all the action throughout it doesn’t feel that way, it will hold your attention the entire time. This story was mind blowing and unlike anything that I have ever read before when it comes to Romance. It was a breath of fresh air.

Filthy Riches is a steamy version of Indiana Jones. It is full of action and adventure but there is also a few steamy scenes sprinkled throughout. There is a glorious web tangled between all the characters.

Not only are the main characters, Nathan and Emma, amazing but the secondary characters in this story are just as amazing and play a major role in the story. I love how it was told, it was different from anything that I have read.

I’ve read several books by Lauren Landish before and this one is nothing like anything I’ve read from her and I loved every single moment of it. This book quickly become one of the top books of 2019.

If you love action, adventure, suspense, romance and some steaminess this is a must read!!

A four-person POV that seamlessly flowed together into a goosebump-inducing, spine tingler journey with a group of people I could not get enough of!
Unputdownable- I was so immersed in the angst, humor, sexual tension ( YAS PLEASE ) dark mysterious sides and all that entailed I made myself stay awake to finish - Well worth my sleepiness today!
Perfect length for the intricate story this is one book I could see becoming a movie or online streaming series!
I am blown away by this book! Its moved to the top spot of my favorite reads so far this year!!
If you enjoy, dark, mixed with heat, humor and a passionate romance at work in an intricately played out spine tingler- than I highly suggest checking out Nathan, Emma, Carly, & Kyle's journey to a sense of peace and new life.

Filthy Riches by Lauren Landish a five-star read you would become dirty for. I am a huge fan of this author and have read and loved many of her stories but this one, oohhh this one weaves a tangled web and will suck you into the compelling and twisted stories of all of the four main characters, they will each tell you a story and Nathan, Emma, Carly and Kyle will all tell you theirs. Each one is looking for something different but each of their stories interact with the others in ways that you will see and some that are so far under the surface they will leave you with your mouth hanging when you see the story unravel. I don’t want to say too much as agghhh the twists!!! You will love this story and it will compel you to read the next page quicker than the last.

Extremely good, complex and exciting
I loved it. The story is at the same time extremely complex because of the plot, the twists, the honest characters or less, who cross, seek each other. Between the torrid romances, the mourning, the shenanigans and the worlds of jewels and American high society, the Russian mafia, the FBI, I was not bored at all.
Nathan and his brother Caleb inherited their father's empire in jewelry while they were former soldiers. They discovered that this world is not rosy and is only a game of power that they do not support but in which they will not let themselves be walked on. Their father was murdered a few months ago, and they are determined to take revenge not for their father, but for them. At the same time, a friend of their father had died, and her boyfriend, Kyle, wants to avenge her and he thinks Nathan is the culprit. Emma, an actress, is called by her sister Claire who works at the FBI to infiltrate the time of an evening at a party organized by Nathan to obtain evidence of his guilt when fraud and shenanigans with a mobster Russian. And finally, Carly, Emma's best friend, who fled the United States because of the behavior of her family and the threats of the man with whom her parents had betrothed her, and who in Italy meets Kyle when he assault someone. All this little world will end up with his grievances, the permanent threats inherited from Nathan's father and Caleb, and an attraction between Emma and Nathan extremely powerful and disturbing as they do not trust anyone.

I don’t know where to start with this absolutely emotionally thrilling story full of love, heartache, adventures, death, forgiving, evilness and an amazing story! We have 2 couples, Nathan and Emma, Kyle and Carly along with Nathan’s brother Caleb and Emma’s sister Claire! All three men have similar bad boy backgrounds and have a strong character. Emma and Carly are best friends raised in wealthy homes with different experiences but stay friends through it all. Nathan has a dilemma he is dealing with and a well known dangerous Russian Mafia man, Nikolai can help him with it even though Nathan keeps it close to his heart. Nathan and Caleb have a family business that deals in gems and Nathan returns home to NY take over after his father’s sudden death. Emma helps her FBI sister out and gets into a private party getting Nathan’s immediate attention. Nathan has an instant need to protect Emma and dies everything in his power he can. Over in Italy Carly crashes into a strong chested man, Kyle who is grieving the lose of his fiancée and their unborn child. They have their own give and take and Kyle seems lost until he gets Carly out of a crazy situation in NY. These two couples meet and things exploded into a twist you will not see coming. I enjoyed the chemistry and relationships between each couple and once they know they meet their match things get better between them. What a wonderful mix of PERFECT characters. I hope to see a story about Caleb and Claire! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is not your typical Lauren Landish book.
To start with it has 4 points of view, instead of the usual 2.

Nathan Stone; to the world he seems like a cold, heartless man, who has done some truly terrible , evil things, to shore up his empire.
Emma; she has rebelled againt the riches of her family and wants to make it on her own. Her sister, who is an FBI agent, wants her to cozy up to Nathan and trap him doing something questionable. She is innocent and honest, to a fault.
Carly; she is Emma's BFF. She has run away to Europe, to escape her family and is amaking it on her own. She has an inner light that attracts everyone
Kyle; he is hurting, over the loss of his fiance and vows revenge. His darkness threatens to overwhelm him.

This story is a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions. You are overwheled with fear, heartbreak and joy.
The characters pair off with Emma truly seeing Nathan for the man he really is, and not the one the world sees him as. Carly bringing light to Kyles darkness.

There is a mystery along the way that is a bit surprising and shocking.

I loved this book because there was a wonderful story , that happened to have hot steamy sex scenrs in it, and not a book that was sex scenes with a smattering of story there, as a filler.

The ending was extremely satisfying.

Emma is a wanna-be actress on the verge of success, but for now, she works in data entry. Emma finds herself at Nathan's party, but for a much different reason. Emma's skill at acting will be put to the test tonight and if she wants to leave the party alive, her performance needs to be Oscar worthy.
Nathan is far too dangerous for Emma, in so many ways, but Emma is more dangerous to Nathan when he realizes that he has a soft spot for her.
Nathan is looking for answers to questions regarding his father and Nikolai Romanov is the key. Nathan has other motives for dealing with Nikolai, motives that just might get him killed.

Carly and Kyle met, sort of, in Italy.
Carly, Emma's best friend, ventured out into the world and landed far away in Europe. She needed to get away from the prying, judging eyes of her family.
Kyle is looking for revenge for a love lost too soon. After that initial meeting quickly goes awry, they never expected to see each other again...maybe hoped is a better word.

This is a highly entertaining romantic suspense that’s very well written with compelling and engaging characters. Emma and her bestie Carly were born to privilege and strict expectations. Both rebelled, for different reasons and sought their own paths in the world. I loved both of these women! They were intelligent, feisty, independent and fiercely loyal. Nathan and his brother Caleb were also born to privilege, but despite their wealth, theirs was a very different childhood. They’re very tight, intense, intelligent, dangerously charming and at times also quite deadly. I love this story! It has everything you could want in an action and adventure romance – mystery, suspense, espionage, danger, conflict, secrets, betrayals plus some surprises. There’s also plenty of drama and angst along with several seriously steamy encounters. The plot is quick paced with two story arcs running concurrently as the story unfolds through multiple POV’s. I highly recommend this book.

Each first meeting of both the couples, Nathan and Emma, Kyle and Carly, took my breath away because Ms. Landish transported their intense chemistry and the high leveled tension so very well…
Their story is like two stories intertwined, yet only one story with different perspectives, connected by the missing of loved ones…
It is breathtakingly explosive and thrilling to no end, a thrilling crime story romance.
But it also is an untangled mess with so many complicated and tricky twists and turns that it had my head spinning. Inbetween I totally forgot to breath at all and found me gasping for air when a dire situation dissolved or at least partly dissolved…To say this story kept me on the edge of my seat is the understatement of the century!
With every page turned it became more twisted and complicated so that it was doubtful that there was at all a way to unravel this tangled mess…
The characters are unbelievably deep and ambiguous in their feelings because of past experiences and because of denied support in their past what made them even more palpable.

I am stunned about the emotional, psychic and contentual complexity.
Ms. Landish transported the suspense, the complexity of the situation and the emotions and the individuality of all characters extraordinary well and thus wrote her best book to date. W.O.W ! ! !

Lauren Landish has written a book that is faced pace, emotional, and so much more. It had so much going on with so many characters that it blew my mind. It was like reading a book at warp speed because I just could not put it down for fear of missing something important. Lauren did such an incredible job on this story line and these characters. As I was reading it was like I was right there with them doing and feeling what they were doing and feeling. I was on such a high reading this book. If I could only use one word to describe this book it would be earth shattering ... oops that is two words !! I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

FIVE AMAZING STARS

More than a romance. We get an adventure, we get a suspense, we get not one but two love stories. This book has everything you love about fiction.

Lauren Landish has completely out done herself with this book. She has raised the bar with this book, it’s so completely different than anything I’ve read before.

I’m keeping my review short and sweet because everyone just needs to read it. They will fall in love with the characters and get a thrill with the adventure and suspense.

Highly recommended.

Wow...just wow! Filthy Riches is the perfect example of a book you can totally get lost in for the weekend...or before work/during lunch/after work/during dinner/after dinner/in bed for a few days because you won't want to put it down. Yes, this is THAT book.

Filthy Riches is about Emma's entanglement with Nathan Stone. There are 4 points of view and they are all absolutely necessary to the story. I do not want to give too much away but I will say that the story flows and will keep you enthralled all the way to the end.

Emma is an actress that lands two roles: one is off-Broadway and the other is a different role she's reluctant to play. She finds herself caught in a precarious position that will either end with her on Nathan Stone's lap or six feet under. She's not sure which is better given what she has been told about him.

This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy. I highly suggest reading this book and I am someone who normally sticks to books below 300 pages. When it works it works and this story works. Don't be daunted by the page count! Was the tease of Claire and Caleb a glimpse of something to come in the future? Please!! I would read that so hard. :-P
