Less a summary or supplemental for the artists way - more an advert

If I'd paid for this I would be furious. I caught this on kindle unlimited. Few interesting chunks but mainly a platform for a website you could subscribe to.Not convinced morning pages should be typed, particularly
with the authors attempts at grammar or spelling. Very disappointing.

Good Review of Julia Cameron's "Morning Page Routine" which she discusses in her book "The Artist's Way". A book designed to inspire creativity.

I would have liked to see more personal examples of how this style of writing has changed the authors own writing style and other authors writing routines...as well as how it has changed people's lives.

Short and brief read. I liked the book. It had enough details to tell us what is morning pages and how to get started on writing them. I wished a few sections had a bit more details in them. Example: When the author talks about writing in the third person vs the first person. It had a few grammatical errors. Other than that, I liked that it did not include too any research results just to elucidate one point. Encouraged me to start writing morning pages even though I prefer handwritten versions compared to the author's preference of a typed format.

I’m glad I read this…

This book has a lot of great ideas, now it’s time to actually put them into practice!

Writing my morning pages is one of my best habits, but reading my Bible daily is my absolute best habit and one with eternal benefits- reading my Bible comes FIRST (well, first thing after my morning tinkle!)

Nothing here that was of much use. As others have stated it ends up being a sales pitch. Morning pages are meant to be longhand not on the computer which the author completely disagrees with - probably because he is trying to sell an online platform for writing your morning pages.

some tips easy read

I’ve taken a few tips from this book, specially about the practice of writing. Love the idea of writing in the third person. Also I agree that writing in a device is perfectly alright. Pen and paper I like but I don’t flow as much.
