First rate coverage of Doris Day's complete film career and one of the best in the extensive Citadel Press series of actor tributes.
This book is the complete photographic record of Doris Day's film appearances from 'Romance on the High Seas' (1948) to 'With Six You Get Egg Roll' (1968). Each film is documented with synopsis, cast, credits, reviews, comments on the course of production and supplemented with a fantastic selection of stills.
Extra highlights in this gorgeous tribute to Doris include the sections - 'A Sentimental Journey' (a 40 page biographical sketch of her record, movie and personal life with some fabulous photos); a brief look at her early television appearances (1968-1975) and a delightful Portrait Gallery.
With 400 sensational black and white photographs. 253 pages, large-size format.
A beautiful tribute to DD but considering this book was first published in 1977, there is surely enough material for another volume (in similar format) to commemorate the remaining 40 years of her life.

A nice overview of Doris' life and career at the front of the book which I wasn't expecting. As par with these books, a good overview of each picture with cast and credits listed.
