Once upon a time, that name meant a lot to me. He was my first ever crush, and a hopeless one at that since he was ten years my senior. We used to be neighbors, and now he’s come back to live in his parents’ old house, a recent divorcee with an adorable little boy of his own.
He needed a nanny, so I took the job, but now I’m wondering if I’ve made a mistake getting this close to him. After all, this isn’t the tall, lanky teenager I once knew and adored. This is a mountain of a man who enjoys bringing out my dirty side. Add to that the fact that his window looks directly into mine, and I was all but doomed before this whole thing even started.
It’s so wrong to get involved with my boss, but how can I resist him after fantasizing about him for the last ten years? Just a little flirting couldn’t hurt...right?
NOTE: This is an 18+ standalone, no cheating, no cliffhanger novella with an HEA.

Book Review For: Ready For Him: A Single Dad Next Door Romance Ready For Him: A Single Dad Next Door Romance by Alyson Hale. This is the story of Grant Sherwood and Cheyenne Jefferson. Grant is 1o years older than Cheyenne which he used to his advantage growing up. Cheyenne was around 8 or so and he was older teenager so she was his 'Chick Magnet'. Grant would play with her to draw in the ladies but Cheyenne always had a crush on him. Now in the present day she is getting ready to be 19 years old and he is a divorced father of a little both. Also he has moved back to town to be closer to his family. Cheyenne too is with her dad after he had a heart attack so they strike up a new friendship but this time things are pretty hot for sure! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2H...https://twitter.com/soapsrus68https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookR...http://booklikes.com/bloghttps://roma...https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebo...
I would compare this to the cheesy transparent set up of a porno. Like you know from the beginning this isn't a regular movie, they're gonna bang. but in book form.
Also, he compares his erection to Everest. Seriously. How can this be read with a straight face?
Ready For Him was really a fun, quick little read. I love a good older man younger woman romance pretty much anytime. Who doesn't! They are super hot!
Grant was a delectable hunk of man and Cheyanne was a stereotypical virginal 18-year-old with a childhood long obsession with the hot older neighbor boy. Can't go wrong unless your expecting some major "OMG... What just happened" plot twist...
Spoiler alert...
There isn't one...
It's exactly what you expect, Just a little sexual tension turned to super hot sex and a cute little boy. BUT that was good enough for me :)
I thought Hale did a nice job with characterization and pacing the plot line given the fact that there was a minimal number of pages. There were some things I thought could have made it a little more engaging and give us a better understanding of each characters motives and general personality, but given the fact that the book was a novella, I can understand why we didn't get much detail on each of their lives outside the building relationship between the MC's. Our heroine Cheyanne is back home to look after her father who just suffered a heart attack and needs some caretaking. Our Hero Grant is also back in town to fix up and move into his parents home (His childhood home) with his 3-year-old son after going through a rough divorce with his ex-wife. Grant and Cheyanne have always shared a special connection despite their 10 year age gap. Cheyanne has always looked at Grant like her super-hero and grant has always seen Cheyanne as the cute little girl next door who always looked up to him. Now that they are both back in town they reconnect over Cheyanne's backyard pool, his son's love for swimming and Grants need for a dependable babysitter. At the first interaction, they both know their connection is still simmering between them, but something not so innocent is now sparking right alongside it. This was a very cute story and while some of the dialogue could be a little trite I thought it was overall a good read!
*NOTE - BOOK ENDS AT 40% - Didn't bother me but just an FYI*
This is a wonderful older man, younger woman romance! I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too. Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night. What you need to know: this book contains no cheating, no cliff-hangers and a HEA.
Love this short and hot book! Grant is a sexy daddy and Cheyenne is the sweet, younger girl next door. Their life spent living next door to each other was clearly all leading to this! Love love love!
A sweet, fun, sexy read with a couple of my favorite things in romance books. A single dad and an age gap. This is a perfect quick, summer read with some steamy scenes for sure. And a lot of sweet scenes, too. If you're looking for something quick, sweet and sexy I would definitely recommend this to you.
I won't rate a book that I didn't finish, usually, unless it is a horrible mess. And since the author was nice enough to offer me a copy of this title to review, I really don't want to leave a rating. And, to make it worse, I liked another book by this author, so don't know if this is just some different writing style in this one, or if I didn't notice it in the other book. However, I do want to explain why I did not finish it. First off, insta-love to the max, just way too soon and way too out of proportion to the story in my opinion. Then, there were plenty of words and phrases used that just made the immature voice inside my head giggle or scoff. I just cannot take a story seriously with those words. Baby-making cream. An 18 year old girl being okay with getting pregnant her first time? Maybe? But saying if he comes inside her right now she'll get pregnant. As if it is just that easy? Oh yeah, it feels weird to have the word pussy, followed by "my volcano erupts, filling her with my cream." I won't go on, but if you can say pussy, why can't you also say dick or cock, or similar? So there was the whole immature thing with some words, but then as an adult who reads a lot of romance, sexy ones, erotic ones, it seems you have to kind of be somewhat more consistent in the language you use. I don't know, could be just me.
I hate leaving a bad review, I really do, but there were just some things in this that I just had to share with fellow readers who might understand just what I'm saying here.

Loved this book. Cheyenne is back home to take care of her father after he suffered a heart attack. She in the house she grew up in with many memories including ones of Grant who is 10 years older than she is and the friendship they once had. Grant just happens to now live in his childhood home with his 3 year old son Hudson. After a bitter divorce after his wife cheated, she doesn't want to have anything to do with their son and Grant just started a new company that is making him a lot more money than before. He decides to keep that to himself right now. When they run into each other again and she becomes his babysitter, the attraction they've had all of these years comes back full force. Can they make a relationship work with 10 years age difference? Will Grant tell her how much money he makes and take the chance of her wanting his money more than him like his ex? Will Hudson like having another woman around besides his grandma. This is a really good story, loved the characters and there is a HEA. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
This is the best of Aylson Hale's books thus far. Absolutely loved Ready For Him! Completely impressed with the cover - hot and catching to the eye that easily drew me in to learn more. The storyline started off like others, but immediately morphed into a "one of a kind" read!
Grant Sherwood is who every girl would dream of living next door to. He is sexy, caring and turns out to be one heck of a heart throb! His past and present become intriguing and I couldn't help but fall for him. Book boyfriend material, check!
Cheyenne Jefferson is the girl that you can't help love. She is sweet and the underdog that you can't help but root for! There may be years between Cheyenne and Grant, but that doesn't negate the feelings that she always had for him.
I definitely recommend this short read as you will be morphed into a book world that you won't want to miss out on.
I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is one sweet novella full of romance. Young love and next door neighbour teenage infatuation changing into young love. This story is simply just so sweet. It is short and fun to read. The only thing I didn´t really like is the additional material after the story. Why include several more short novellas when only introducing this as one novella... But non the less this novella was really good and I am always amazed when authors can pull off a short novella with still all neccessary aspects of a story in it. For sure some things are missing because the lengthr does not allow for it, but overall here we have a job very well done.

This was a great second chance at love story involving the girl next door and her older neighbor. She returns to care for her ailing father and he moves back into his parents home with his son after a messy divorcee. Both try to deny how they feel about each other but the sparks fly. But will a misunderstanding ruin it for both of them? This was a quick read with characters that were easy to fall in love with. They way the author wrote them makes them jump off the page making them believable. I for one can't wait for something else from this author.
I just loved this story of Cheyenne and Grant, she has loved him since she was a kid and he was ten years older than her, but years have passed and he is back home and with him is his three year old son.
I really enjoyed how when Grant thought about it, he felt that their childhood friendship was really telling them that they were soulmate.
This book comes with previews of other books from this author that I just had to get.

This was a great older man/younger woman romance. Grant has known Cheyenne since she was a young girl and he was a teenager. Growing up next door, they spent a lot of time together. Cheyenne is home to help her dad who has had a heart attack and Grant is back after a divorce. Only now he has an adorable 3 year old son. Cheyenne's crush on her neighbor only reignites when she agrees to become his babysitter. Grant cannot take his eyes off this grownup Cheyenne. Sparks fly and their chemistry is explosive. 5 stars!
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Grant and Cheyenne. She's the cute little girl next door growing up, he's her dream crush from the start. Now she's back taking care of her dad after a heart attack and he's moved back in to his parents house after a messy divorce. They reconnect after he asks her to babysit his son while he works. This is a quick HEA with lots of heat.

If you enjoy your read with a strong beautiful young woman, a handsome rich dad, a lovely little boy, a lot of steamy scenes and a well developed plot, then you will love this one. It is a sweet standalone that feels like a second chance romance.
It is an engrossing and intriguing read, that makes you root for a beautiful HEA al the way through.

Short right to the point. The boy that she had a crush on comes back as a man with a little boy. She still has feelings for him and agrees to babysit his little boy. Things quickly move from there. Was a steamy good book. Enjoyable.
