While most books about leadership are typically externally focused, this book is focused on looking within. This is a book that I was required to read for a class I took and I loved it!

This is the second edition published in 2020 and there are numerous modern examples of how the principles shared in the book apply to modern life. The real-world self-leadership cases and profiles resonated with me by showing me examples of people exemplifying its concepts today in real time.

I really appreciated the case studies at the end of each chapter. I found myself reading all of them (even though I was only required to read one for my class) and pondering on each of the subsequent questions asked.

If you want to gain a clearer understanding of yourself as a leader, identify some strategies you could put in place to make improvements, and take steps toward personal excellence, then read this book!

This book is amazing! I had to read this book for my MGMT 4461-Managerial Leadership class. When I say this is one of the best books ever....it really is! I have learned so much about myself through this book and will be utilizing what I learned to become a successful business leader.

The main idea of this book is before leading others you have to know how to lead yourself effectively. This book provides you with some strategies that help you in leading yourself. Very interesting strategies and are applicable. However, I got so bored sometimes during reading.

A good primer on self-leadership that is direct and practical with several short assessments to further development.

This was written by one of the professors I work with and I think, for an undergraduate or graduate student, it would be a great tool for self leadership and happiness in general.

Once again. If I have to read an entire book for class, you best believe I am marking it towards my yearly GR goal.
