Loved the idea of this book and it did have some good information and ideas in it but it all became a little repetitive. The illustrations were cute but the best part was the saying throughout the book.

4.5 ⭐️ Really cute, uplifting book with adorable illustrations. ☺️ It was a bit repetitive at times but that was okay with me because I really took my time reading this. I read a little bit each morning while sipping coffee to start my day with a little positivity and sparkle. ✨ Lots of resources at the end, too!

The most important thing I can say about this book is that it really helped me. I picked it up at a time when I really felt my sparkle needed it, and it’s such a beautiful book to read. From the cover to the illustrations you can tell this was made with thought. The content itself was so light and positive, all revolving around the sparkle. It made me get introspective about our sparkle/soul and how our bodies are a way of interacting with the world through the senses. There were amazing quotes and resources scattered throughout, including this from Buddha which is now my wallpaper: “if your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.” To think of ourselves and others as divine and beings of stars I think also ties in with this. It has made me reassess the importance of the things I spend my time on, the natural things I surround myself with and experience and even cleaning products! I’m grateful for this book and will try and fulfil my sparkle!

I read this book as an antidote to the punishing Victorian covid Lockdown regime. It was therapeutic and transportingly magical, particularly with its luscious artwork and inspirational quotes. It is Gaston's third book I read, and frankly, though it has its delightful moments, she revisits previously established tread-lightly-on-this-universe pathways. I respect her deep immersion into natural health and eating, with recipes and lifestyle actions to take, but I will not be following her into her daily life as a Faery Princess: long may she reign :-)

Bit too woo woo for me. Love self growth books but I felt like this was preaching health only using raw ingredients rather then medicine. Would’ve been nice to acknowledge when and maybe when not to rely on natural forms of medicine.
Did love the cover and the illustrations though, very pretty book 😜
