Growing up as an honorary Taggart, Eric Patterson has the family he’s always wanted. Almost. Somehow, he never managed to see the clan’s youngest and only daughter--stubborn spitfire Shelby--quite like a little sister. Now that she's grown, his long-suppressed feelings are determined to come to light.
Too bad Shelby’s cursed. Her double-whammy psychic powers to read emotions and locate anyone anywhere have always made relationships impossible. But her echolocation skills are beginning to turn on her.
Then a malevolent supernatural force invades the valley, threatening the Taggart family, homing in on Eric. Dare she risk using her powers, sacrificing her own life to find the one she loves, one more time?
Award-winning and bestselling author and physician Jillian David quickly writes then slowly edits medical romance, paranormal romance, and romantic suspense books. She loves to use medical situations and characters to drive drama in her books. Her favorite cell is the platelet and her least-favorite organ is the pancreas. She fully believes that curse words, when appropriately deployed during surgery, are hemostatic. Which also explains why no book of hers will ever bleed out...
According to multiple starred reviews, Jillian's books cause sleep deprivation and a drop in productivity, as well as visceral responses from her vivid descriptions -- side effects which might qualify as a breach of her Hippocratic Oath to 'do no harm.'
Here's what readers are saying: - "You will not want to start this book right before bed like I did because you won’t want to go to sleep." - "...a highly original, paranormal, second chance, romantic suspense novel on steroids, and it kept me turning pages until dawn, and it gets 5 bleary-eyed stars from this reader." - "I started this incredible paranormal suspense filled love story and couldn't put it down. I stayed up the entire night reading it." - "Such an awesome read. As soon as I started it, I couldn't put it down. I even stayed home from the gym just to be able to finish this in the same day." - "(T)his author sure knows how to write torture scenes and make you feel the physical abuse the characters are going through!" - "(T)his (writer) can make you twist around in your seat in an effort to not pee yourself from fear." - "Jillian writes incredibly interesting characters in situations that keep you reading late into the night, even if you have to work the next morning." - "Just read the 4-book story (The Cowboys of Copper River series) to the end, started yesterday afternoon! Couldn't put it down, except for 3 hours when I fell asleep early this morning."

Legacy Lost is book two in the Hell’s Valley series by Jillian David. Much like the first book in this series, this book is non-stop suspense and of course, some hot romance. In this book, we feature the only female of the Taggart siblings, Shelby. And also, their family friend, Eric Patterson.
The Taggart’s have about all they can handle on their shoulders. Their father is home and recovering from his stroke. But he seems to have given up. It is killing his children to see him this way. With their barn burned down, they are forced to keep all the animals in the smaller barn and hope to raise a new barn soon. Strange goings on are still happening on the neighboring ranch belonging to the Brand’s. And somehow the fence keeps turning up damaged between the two properties. Then there is their oldest brother, Vaughn, who left and hasn’t been heard from since. They need him now more than ever.
Shelby and Eric are both members of the local search and rescue team. Each of the Taggart siblings has a special ability. Shelby has a sort of homing beacon. She can home in and find a missing tourist. Her secret is out to Eric now since she had to use her ability to find her older brother’s girlfriend, Sarah, and his son, Zach, in the previous book. Ever since then, though, her power has changed, grown. She has no idea what is going on. This is all uncharted territory. Then there is the damage to her lungs from rescuing her horse from the barn fire in the previous book. No matter how much she wheezes and coughs, though, when the rescue team calls, she goes. Her involvement can guarantee that the lost person will be found. No matter the cost to her health.
Eric Patterson was abandoned by his parents at an early age. The Taggarts are the only real constant he has in his life. He’s known Shelby forever. He can’t say exactly when it happened but his feelings towards her have changed. He keeps thinking about all the things he would love to do to her. He also feels protective of her more now than ever. It is killing him to see what she is doing to herself on the rescue mission. She shouldn’t even be out there the way her lungs sound. What would she say if he laid it all out there and told her what he really wanted from her? Can he risk ruining a lifelong friendship?
Shelby used to think of Eric as one of her brothers but that has changed. She certainly doesn’t feel any brother vibes coming from him either. She knows he is attracted to her. But what would it do to her family if they tried and failed? He was as much a part of her family as her brothers were. Shelby can also feel the emotions from other people. So, it’s practically impossible for her to have close relationships with other men. She can feel their disappointment in her. She doesn’t feel that now with Eric but it would only be a matter of time.
As Eric and Shelby both fight and give in to their mutual attraction, there is a darkness nearby. Shelby can feel it. She can smell the sulpher. She doesn’t know what is going on but knows that it is bad.
“I want you to be mine. I don’t want to have just something. I want you. Body. Mind. All of it. Or nothing.”
As I said, this book is fast paced, suspenseful, and pretty darn hot! The dark evil has focused on the Taggart family. We get a hint later on in this book why. And I love the crossover from Jillian David’s previous book, Flame Unleashed, from her Hell to Pay series. I’m thinking that is going to be ongoing in the next book. I can’t wait to see where that goes. As always, you can positively read this as a stand alone, but I urge you to read the first book in this series, Legacy of Lies, and meet Garrison. You will love him and also have a better understanding of this family and everything that is happening. I’m not sure who the next book will focus on but I can’t wait to find out what comes next for the Taggart family.

Oh yes! Give me a ruggedly hot cowboy who has secretly fallen for the feisty and psychically gifted woman. Add some danger, sizzling tension and life-threatening circumstances and you have another fabulous read from Jillian David! This time out, in spite of the frigid temperatures, LEGACY LOST will have you in need of a glass of ice water and a fan as Jillian David raises the passion and heat on Romance!
Eric has found the family he has always needed with the Taggerts, but Shelby is bringing rise to more than brotherly feelings, but how does he let her know? Shelby avoids closeness, her “gift” allows her to read emotions and to be like a human Geiger Counter with her ability to find people lost in the mountains. Lately, her “powers” have been morphing, becoming both more powerful and more painful. Any chance of discouraging her from joining in on any mission, no matter the price she will pay, falls on deaf ears.
Eric’s feelings are coming in loud and clear though, and as much as Shelby wants to return his ardor, she cannot or will not and her excuses are many. Can Eric break through her self-imposed prison to capture her heart?
Yowzer, Jillian David has definitely mastered the art of fine romance, tension and heat! But, even with her vast writing skills, can she create a Cupid’s moment for two deserving people who clearly love, lust and long for each other?
I received an ARC edition from Crimson Romance in exchange for my honest review.

I can't quite put my finger on it of why Ms. David's books grab me so deeply. I fell in love with her a few years ago and haven't stopped since.
She has the ability to keep the reader on the edge of their seat to the point where you are just about to topple over...the action and suspense along with the romance all tie together to make a perfect recipe for adventure!
And Legacy Lost is no exception. We find ourselves this time with the story of Eric and Shelby. And the sparks are at an all time high between these two!
This is definitely a series you will not want to miss!
Wow! This book was not at all what I expected. It is the second in a series and I was worried that I might feel lost since I have not read the previous book. I was pleased to learn that that would not be the case. It is quickly explained that some nefarious happenings have taken place and as a result the couple in this book are learning how to deal with the consequences of them.
The Taggert siblings have “gifts” and Shelby’s is the ability to feel the emotions of those around her. She has perfected the art of filtering and sheltering herself from picking up the greatest part of those emotions. The process has left her somewhat alone and unable to form meaningful relationships. Eric doesn’t understand the struggle she faces daily and thus begins some push and pull between them.
I am normally not a fan of the push and pull but in this case it just worked. Both the hero and heroine had valid reasons for their own actions and they worked together to overcome them. The writing style was quick paced, light, smooth and flowed well. It never got bogged down by details that were unnecessary and yet gave me all the information I needed in short order. Ahh, perfect.
Written in both Shelby’s and Eric’s point of views, there is no cheating or abuse. A completely safe read with a few steamy, sexy scenes. I was so taken up in the story I never realized until now that there were only a couple of sexy scenes.
So glad I was given this ARC for an honest review. I will definitely be checking out the previous book and looking forward to the rest of the Taggert’s stories.
“I love you, Eric. I don’t know what to do with a world that doesn’t have you in it.” – Shelby Taggart
Have you ever wished you were able to know what people think? To tell truth from lies, to read emotions and thoughts, to see what truly makes someone tick? Well, the Taggarts would be the first to tell you, it's not such a wonderful skill to possess.
True to what she gave us in the first book, Jillian David went on to tell the story of Shelby next - the only girl of the Taggart family. Now, before I go on, let me remind you that Shelby was Kerr's twin, who could read emotions, and most of the times suffered thanks to her abilities, since everyone's feelings seemed to reflect on her and could seriously wear her down. She also had an on-off thing going with Eric Patterson, Kerr's close friend and partner who helped with the Taggart ranch. In the previous book, Eric found out about the Taggarts' skills when they were all trying to help Sara, Garrison's beloved. It was clear from that particular scene where he defended Shelby and demanded she stopped using her powers if they were taking such a toll on her, that we knew he was gonna be the male lead in Shelby's story. And it was as pleasant as it was expected.
See, Eric didn't exactly have a stellar childhood, and his family could be described, at the very best, to be found wanting. So, he was insecure and kept his heart closed, to the point that even Shelby couldn't always read him - and that's before he found out about her family, which says a lot about Eric's self-control. However, what Shelby at first didn't know, was that Eric held a torch for her - and boy, was that thing blazing hot or what? Let me tell you, people, the moment that Eric snapped out of his tightly kept self-control, was a beautiful one indeed. The man was so full of emotions, and felt everything way too powerfully, it was simply breathtaking. He had a passion the likes of which I have rarely seen in literature, and when the dam broke and he let it all out, it was no wonder Shel freaked out and tried to back off.
This isn't of course to say that she was entirely right in her choices. During the book, Eric got hurt many times, and the poor guy was doing everything in his power to make a name for himself, a good one, all the while tripping over his feet to make Shelby see just how good they were together. I lost count of the times he got a flat out rejection not only with her words, but also with her actions.
But she had her reasons, and I couldn't blame her for that. Shelby had to live with everyone's feelings projected on her tenfold, and that's a big burden to be carried by a single person. However, given her life so far, how she had to always act as the mediator between her brothers, and take care of her father who seemed hell bent on dying before it was time to do so, it's quite understandable why she would be forgetting that she, too, needed help, that she wasn't supposed to do it all alone. She seemed to get it when Eric's life was in danger - and speaking of danger, let me tell you, the way Shelby treated the Big Bad Thing in her book was marvellous! And hilarious, too, I was rolling around laughing my head off!
What I especially loved in this book - other than the hot scenes and the dialogues that can cause abs to form from all the laughter - was the comeback of some much loved characters from the Hell to Pay series. The minute I saw them, I screamed like a banshee on her first date! Holy crap I had missed them! And they got connected with the story, uniting this series with their own, and tying loose ends, all the while giving off a sense of continuation of their adventures, in a way that I had never imagined. Excellently done, Mrs. David!
Now I can't wait to read Vaughn's story - not that he's above Kerr in my Book Boyfriend List, but I sensed a little something between him and that doctor, and maaaan, I love romances where the leads butt heads! They lead to some interesting steamy make-up scenes, as proven by Eric and Shelby!
P.S.: I finally realized how the titles connect with each sibling, and it was freaking awesome!
“Shelby Taggart, would you consider a long-term relationship with a cynical cowboy like me who wants to do some pretty bad things to your body?” – Eric Patterson

This time we are with Shelby and Eric more than the others. Shelby is just like her siblings as far as powers go through it seems hers are so intense she questions if she can ever be in a normal relationship. Heck, with everything going on with the ranch can she even find love? Well, steps in Eric who has known the Taggart family for years and he has had a crush on Shelby for so long but hasn't acted on it. So when they decide to take that extra step especially since Eric knows Shelby's secret will we see just what happens. Can they actually be together for good or will a one night stand be okay? Shelby will risk everything she can to save the ones she loves even if that means putting herself at risk for things that can disable her. With this all going on we get the feeling evil is still around this family though we are quite sure what it is exactly. We readers sorta get a clue that it is a spirit that has been heartbroken and that is why it is has turned evil. The Brands well more like Wyatt Brand keeps bringing up The Great One and his plans so I know something sinister is going on. Yet, will the Taggert family be able to stop it before it is too late for them and their ranch?
I have to say this series is pretty darn good. It has the right amount of romance and action all rolled up into one. I can't wait to dive into book three and see what happens next! Which sibling will we get to read about in that one? http://fallenoverbookreviews.blogspot...
Welcome to a braves new world, one like you'd never imagine. Well, unless you've read the first novel in the series already. David unleashes a whirlwind of emotions alongside her very unique concepts that had me hooked throughout.
David sets forth a very well developed world and characters who let the story shine through. She does build on the events of the previous novel so I encourage readers to read the stories in order. The vividly lifelike characters allowed me to travel through the story with them, building a fantastic experience as I enjoyed this fast paced tale.
As a whole, David has penned an excitingly enjoyable addition to this series that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
The second novel picks up right where book one left off. Legacy Lost follows the story of Eric, the Taggart’s family friend and Shelby Taggart. Shelby has the ability to feel other people’s emotions around her. This scares and fascinates Eric because he’s always carried strong feelings for Shelby for many years. Shelby has also feels something for Eric too, but doesn’t want to admit for fear of ruining the relationship they already have. Since Shelby discovers a new part of her power its caused her to have vision problems and it scared her. As a result she has to rely on Eric which is the last thing she wants. Book two follows the follows the friends to lovers plot. They have a good solid friendship and familiarity with each other that they can causally ease into conversation with each other because they’ve known each other for so long. Their romantic relationship probes to be a bit difficult and they both see each other partly as the younger version of each other. The Brands are back at and are up to their evil schemes in book two. We learn more about the eerie, evil supernatural being( the Great One) that is slightly introduced in book one. The readers are alluded to the fact the Great One wants the Taggart’s land in order to gain back its powers. Under the influence of the Great One the Bran’s set out to destroy the Taggart family which leads to a climatic showdown that had me on edge. As with book one, there’s not too much else I can say without giving too much of the plot away. Again, this was another awesome book! The plot was engaging and the build up to the climactic parts of the novel were so enthralling! I’m really enjoying the characters of the series and feel invested in their lives. I also like the realistic setting with supernatural elements. Legacy Lost came Like the first to a solid close which left me feeling satisfied, but wanting more. Looking forward to reading book three!

The more books that come out in this world, the better the story gets.
The first thing I noticed and really, really loved, is how the plot really does thicken. This means that, although some details become more and more clear, as well as certain questions get answered, the more things become more complex. I love that certain details in this book make me questions events from the previous series, that I honestly didn't really think that much about before, not because they aren't important, but because I never made the connection in my head before now. I thought it was a coincidence, but I see now that it wasn't. I'm talking about a little detail regarding Ruth, one of the main characters from the previous series.
I really enjoyed reading about Shelby and Eric. I love seeing how Shelby's powers grow over the course of the book, and I'm really curious to see if they can get even bigger. She seems ready to use her powers to save others, at times completely ignoring her own health, but I also liked the fact that she realized that some of her power wasn't such a blessing as some people might think. She struggles a bit with the fact that she can sense what other people think, especially about her, but I also like the fact that ultimately she's willing to do whatever it takes for her loved ones, including making herself vulnerable.
Eric was a better hero than I previously thought. I'll be honest and say I didn't like him very much in the previous book, but that's most likely because I didn't understand his reasoning for acting the way he did, especially towards the end. As this story went on though, I found that I liked the fact that he accepts that Shelby sometimes needs to do her own thing, even against his better judgment. I also liked the fact that he got her to open up a lot, especially when it comes to her powers, even if that scared her a lot, and also made her powers grow to some really scary proportions. Speaking of, I wonder if we'll ever find out why they grew the way they did.
I would also like to do a happy dance, because I was somewhat right, and there is more to the Ruth storyline than was previously revealed. I like that things are getting clearer and are being explored. I'm also curious to see where everything is going, if Jerahmeel will come back or if there's another thing, even worse than him, that will make an appearance in future books.
Shelby Taggart and Eric Patterson have been friends since childhood. Eric is also the best friend of Shelby's twin, Kerr. As often happens, friendship turns to interest, and then turns into love. Sadly, Shelby's special gift has kept her from intimate relationships, and Eric's issues with loss and control have kept him from pursuing the woman of his heart. What happens next is part of the subject of Legacy Lost by Jillian David.
Both Eric and Shelby are not necessarily likable characters, but they are both interesting even with their ton of baggage. Ms. David did a very good job of making their relationship issues both believable and compelling. She also made the paranormal danger more sinister then the prior book.
As with the first book in the series, the over-arching danger to the Taggart family is not brought to a conclusion. However, I was happy that Eric and Shelby make decisions about their future together. If their banter and chemistry is any indication, they could have an interesting life together. That is if they survive the evil that wants to destroy them.
Content alert: This book contains swearing (secular and religious) and vulgarities (including “F” word). It also contains passionate kissing, and descriptive sexual intimacies with an erotic edge.
FYI: I also posted my review on Amazon (as Rural Reader) and on Book Bub.

This is the story of Shelby Taggart and Eric Patterson a close family friend. Shelby like the rest of her family has special powers; hers are to read people’s emotions and to locate people. The use of the powers has consequences to Shelby though and it puts her into several bad predicaments. Due to her ability to feel others feelings Shelby has kept to herself and stayed out of relationships so that she doesn't have to be so drained. Eric has been close to the family since he was a boy and has had a crush on Shelby for a while. He has a hunting Business with one of her brothers and also helps on the family ranch. They are both on a search and rescue team together. He is honestly worried about Shelby and the use of her powers and the aftereffect on her. Thankfully he is with her to take care of her in several of the incidents that she is involved in. This book also continues the feud between the Taggart's and the neighbors the Brand's and the evil creature that is coming after the family. It was well worth the read. I enjoyed this book and this series. The book did give you enough information to figure out what was going on but the series itself is really good so I suggest reading them all. All of the family and the characters are interesting. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review. The opinions in this review are 100% my own
Shelby Taggart has a psychic power, which helps her to always know where to look to find missing people. Psychic ability isn’t anything new in the Taggart family. All four siblings have various powers but Shelby’s abilities have very recently evolved because now she can dive into the lost person’s mind and pinpoint their condition. But this comes at a very high price.
Eric Patterson is a longtime family friend but recently there seems to be “something” between him and Shelby. Would they have a chance at a common future and what if Eric finds out that Shelby is a psychic?
What a lovely read! Definitely an improvement compared to the first installment of the series. Whereas the previous book had a lack in descriptions, this installment had plenty of atmosphere, which were perfectly described and pulled me immediately into the story. This was a very emotional read and again, the author related these emotions masterly to the reader. Eric and Shelby were great main characters. I liked how they fought for each other and I’m now very curious to find out what will happen with them. No, there’s no cliffhanger and the HEA was rewarding, however, there are one or two open issues that most probably will be dealt with in the next installment. Already now waiting impatiently for book nr. 3 in the series. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
I was literally on pins and needles while reading Eric Patterson and Shelby Taggart's story! Between these two trying to find out if they can have a relationship (because they do want more), Shelby's’ power shifting into more (which causes different pain/weaknesses for her) and taking on the evil that is lurking around the Taggart family - they have their hands full!
The Taggart family is having troubles tossed at them left and right and no matter what they do, they can't seem to catch a break! Hank Brand has disappeared without a trace and his brother Wyatt has stepped up his creepiness. Whatever this "evil being" that has its red glowing eyes aimed directly at the Taggart's seems to be lurking in every dark shadow and causing lots of damage and inflicting pain where it can.
Who or what is trying to destroy the Taggert's, and why? This is the big mystery that the family needs to figure out and fast! Two new people have entered the Taggart's ranch - Ruth and Odie. There is something mysterious about them, but I just cannot put my finger on it yet.
So, with all the mystery, psychic abilities being used, danger and suspense - can the Taggart's come out on top? Can Shelby and Eric make things work? Heading to book three to see what happens next!
Having read book 1 in this series, I couldn’t wait to get started on book 2. I do want to add though – even though I have read book 1, I don’t think that it would be required to read this book.
I love the paranormal aspect of this story though. The story itself just drew me in and I couldn’t get enough of it. Eric and Shelby were both great characters, and you could tell they both had chemistry that they were both trying to ignore.
One thing that I really loved about the book is where Shelby is a strong independent woman, Eric isn’t trying to stop her from being that way. He just wants her to be safe. And when push comes to shove he does try his best to protect her.
Being able to see as the family deals with everything that is going on was fun to watch. Seeing as they all stopped what they were doing to help and protect each other was so great to read about. Most times, family doesn’t help when things go wrong. But in this family? They are all there to support in anyway they can.
Overall – another great read from David and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Legacy Lost is book 2 in Jillian David's Hell's Valley series. I was a little worried when I chose this book being as I had not read the first book in the series. But I was very happy to find that I did not need book one to be able to figure out book 2. I am after reading this book looking for book 1 and eagerly waiting book 3. This is also my first Jillian David book and I am hooked. The book is fast paced a real page turner.
Ms. David has done an awesome job with this book. When I wasn't biting my nails on the edge of my seat I was falling back in my chair sweating. There is a perfect balance of danger, action, suspense, romance, and steam.
The series feature the Taggert family. In this book the only female Taggert. Shelby is the star of the book. along with Eric Patterson an honorary family member. Eric's feelings for Shelby are anything but brotherly, and Shelby who can read emotions tries to hold him off even though she actually feels the same. It was a real adventure watching these 2 come together in the end.
I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.
This is Shelby and Eric's story. I feel badly for both of them. Shelby has this power that is overwhelming to say the least, and Eric is in love with her but needs to shut down his thoughts to be around her. I can't imagine. They definitely have chemistry and there is a romance going on amidst everything else.
I think this book ventured a bit further into the paranormal than the last. Evil seems to be lurking around every corner. Shelby's powers keep morphing. Ruth and Odie have entered the Taggert's life, adding an interesting aspect. There is so much going on in this book. Who or what is trying to destroy the Taggert's, and why?
This book is full of emotions along with mystery, intrigue, and suspense. Much of the book keeps you on the edge of your seat. I believe you can read this as a standalone because the author gives you enough background, but I honestly think it would be more enjoyable if you start with book one.
Eric and Shelby's story has a HFN, but the mystery of what is going on is not resolved in this book. The series seems to get better with each book.

Another wonderful, immersive story by Jillian. With characters that are well developed and beautifully described scenery.
Although it can be read as a stand alone the story will have more depth if you have read the first in the series. This time it is Shelby who is under the spotlight with her talent of being able to locate those who are lost and know just what people are thinking if her shields are not fully up. Having loved and lost before, can she risk opening herself completely again or will she stay safe behind her walls?
I received a copy of this book from ebook discovery and this is my honest, freely given review .
Book two in the Hell's Valley focuses on Shelby and Eric. They have both secretly had a thing for the other for years, and after she put herself in harms way to save Sara and Zach and Eric learned the truth about her psychic abilities, well tensions have run high. He has become far more protective and in her eyes overbearing. She has a stubborn self-sacrificing attitude that he has run out of patience with. On a rescue mission she uses her abilities again causing her to go blind for several hours. He is coming to his breaking point and fears her hurting herself permanently. Well the tension snaps and the proverbial cat is let out of the bag and neither truly knows what to do now. While they figure out how to take a lifelong friendship to the next level, evil is building up power and using the Brand family once more to carry out its evil deeds. Will Shelby and Eric come to terms with their feelings and her growing abilities or throw in the towel before things really heat up? Once together will they stick it out or push each other away? In the end the adventure and love story were great (though I think I have to say I liked book 1, Legacy of Lies, a bit more. There was just something about Garrison and Sara that just heated up the page). Book two was fun, fast paced, tense in the emotional category, and full of passionate moments. Never pegged Eric for the take-charge-and-be-in-control-in-the-bedroom kind of guy but it worked for him. I'm glad both of them found their happily ever after and that in the end they knew what they had and fought to keep it. Great book and the series is getting better and better.
Initial Thoughts: Overall I liked it. Both Eric and Shelby are strong personalities. I wasn't sure if they could find a middle ground. Especially considering Shelby's abilities. However, I did like their journey, though they tended to run hot and cold; fly off the handle and then think. But that was consistent with their personalities and helped to make their relationship that much more real and their resolution that much sweeter. The continuing plot of the Brands just gets weirder and weirder...I'm not sure who or what was going off in this one but I hope in the next one there'll be some answers or at least some clues. I look forward to reading the next novel in this series. Please click on the link to my full review posted at That's What I'm Talking About blog: http://twimom227.com/2017/03/review-l...
Will keep you on the edge of your seat. Looking for a paranormal goodie to read then take a chance on this one I bet you will feel it fits the bill. It was just a pleasure reading this well-done piece. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
The Taggarts are still holding on. The barn may have burnt down but no lives were lost. Shelby is as stubborn as ever despite being injured. And evil is still watching them......... As I hate cliffhangers, I shall greatly look forward to reading the entire series I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. This is my honest review.
What can I say! I read the first book in the series and was drawn in to the storyline. I do enjoy how the book balances the romance with the more suspenseful and paranormal plot. I can’t wait to read the third book!

The story cover something that's unimaginable and make sure wonder sometimes when things happen if there isn't some kind of evil lurking somewhere but the story is well read and definitely keep you interested
The Taggarts are finally getting their defenses up against the Brands and their evil paranormal helpers. An interesting combination of paranormal and cowboy.
i really enjoyed this book its the second in the series and really should be read in order.I just loved Eric and Shelby and really enjoyed getting to know them.A great read and i would recommend this series.
I really enjoyed this story about Shelby and Eric. Having read book 4 then book 1, I finally see how most of the story pieces fit together! The suspense generated by the evil shadow was well balanced by the fun bantering between many of the main characters. Shelby also had some interesting confrontations with Wyatt Brand. Needless to say, wooden doweling and shopping carts will now elicit some new images for self defence! As more pieces to the puzzle are reviewed about the conflict between the Taggats and the Brands, more supernatural elements are revealed The story ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, and a quick HEA for Shel and Eric - yet there are so many unresolved issues. I am looking forward to seeing how book 3 contributes to how the mystery is finally solved. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book.
