Working hard or hardly working? Miyako has gotten a part-time job in GF Bunko’s editorial department, thanks to the recommendation of Itsuki’s editor, Toki, but she had no idea how much work it would entail. Wrangling manuscripts from troublemaking authors, modeling for manga (in the nude), providing inspiration for Nayuta (also in the nude), drinking parties, ridiculous demands from authors and editors…How will she hold up?!

This series never fails to make me laugh over fantastic fetishes to bizarre behaviours, and Volume 5 is no exception. Volume 5 mainly focuses on Miyako’s new part-time at the editorial agency that the main character’s, Itsuki Hashima, light novels get published, but she unintentionally gets involved with other characters’ personally problems throughout the book that somehow leads her with unwanted praise with her co-works and her friends alike.

Plenty fan service, as usual, at Nyuta’s apartment, as Miyako is forced to help out Kaiko, a manga artist, with modelling in swimwear attire, from plain to super sexiness, for a summer scene in her manga based on Itsuki’s little sister light novel. All that in the nude in the apartment because of Nyuta’s nude policy by the way.

A lot going on in n this volume and a lot of bomb drops. Few spots had my putting the bookmark in because I was laughing to hard. This series is one of my top Slice of Life

I have complained about the board game playing chapters in this series before so I did appreciate how there were none of those in this volume. At the same time, I'm a bit split over the more serious tone of this release, I kind of liked the nonsensical more relaxed feeling of previous volumes.
