This is the second book in the "Fallen Angel" series and just to be clear...it cannot be read as a stand-alone. Before jumping into this one, you will need to read Halo, which I myself absolutely loved.
Those of you who have already read the first book, know that Halo and Viper just can't seem to stay away from each other. Instead of getting bored with each other, the sparks between the two of them seem to be multiplying. They spend more and more time together...especially between the sheets
The band is also getting closer and growing bigger...things seem to be really looking up...in more ways than one
I think Viper especially had a bit of a grow spurt...emotionally. While this book is still in double pov, it felt like we got a bit more insight on Viper's feelings. He can at least admit to himself that he's falling faster and deeper for "the Angel".
The question is...will he be able to admit his feelings to Halo himself... He wants to be nonchalant about it...but Halo is quite a force to be reckoned with.
I really enjoyed this second book, but after another cliffy (grrrr), I can't wait for the next book "Angel" to get here !!! Thankfully the wait should not be too long. I also fell a bit deeper in love with all the other band members and I can only hope, they will someday get their own stories...especially Killian
I highly recommend this series !!
Halo had me so wound up that I wanted to steal him away so he only looked at me, talked to me, thought about me, and the idea of having even a couple hours more with him alone this morning made me happier than a kid at a damn candy store.
“That wasn’t a date. We’re fucking, not dating,” I told him, as I also grabbed a bottle of whiskey.
“You’re an idiot.” Killian let out a loud bark of laughter. “No, you are, V. Oh my God. You are so fucking stupid, my friend.”
“Why do you fuckers even care?”
Jagger’s mouth fell open. “Umm, because you have never—in all the years the band has been together—dated, repeated, or sat moon-eyed over anyone. This is…it’s…”
“Unprecedented.” Slade shot a look at me.
“Do you even know what that means?” I asked. Killian pushed his leg against mine.
“Don’t try and change the subject.”
“I don’t want a million guys. I want the one who’s already here.”

Oh, how the angel had fallen.
“I knew it,” I said, grinning. “You’re a secret cuddler, aren’t you?”

Viper wanted me. He cared deeply about me. I knew it. He knew it. But the stubborn motherfucker would rather die than say it out loud.
“Good angel,” he said to Halo, before turning to me and saying, “Bad angel.”
