This was a pretty good read that I liked a lot. Damon aka Arlo is seeking revenge, revenge against his best friends dad. Victoria has been Arlo's best friend for years, when her dad takes his family away he grows up waiting and watching. Victoria is the daughter of a dark, twisted man. She doesn't know all her father had done. But she knows he's not good for her. I like Damon’s stubborn determination to stick to the plan. This was a good read that I liked. I have read this author before this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking to reading the next book in this series.

I reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow, is about all I can say. Angela sucked me in and left me speechless and I couldn't put this book down if I wanted to. I'm totally digging Mafia stories right now and this one did not disappoint. Arlo (Damon) and Victoria have been through the ringer and one night their lives changed forever, they would never be the same. Loss, anger, hatred and revenge has been boiling over in Arlo (Damon) since he was young and now older and knows what he wants he's going after it and nothing and no one will stand in his way not even Victoria. Victoria, being led to believe certain things since she was a child has molded her life. She's seen as the mafia princess to the mob boss, but really she's kind, loving and caring and could care less about the pomp and circumstance, but there's one person who believes she's just like her father and with those thoughts running through his head, it eggs him on and drives the hate he feels for her and her family. Arlo (Damon) has set a plan in motion, but will he be wrong about Victoria? Will spending time with her, warm his dark cold heart? No spoilers here ladies, such a phenomenal read and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for Victorious the next book in this series.

I’ve been following this author’s career for a while now and I can assure you that once you start reading her books you will be hooked… The way she tells her stories will melt your heart but also your panties… Lol
Angela Snyder is the author that I’m talking about and her writing is raw and intense, hot and wild and with all that matters.
Devious is her latest release and it’s included in the Wanted Anthology and it’s the first book from The Deviant series.
This book explores the lifes of Victoria and Damon.
Damon’s childhood was stolen by a very bad man and that made him the man he is today. He had meet Victoria when they were kids but she doesn’t recognize him. He has only one goal and that it’s to get his revenge against her father through her but…
Victoria was a sweet girl that lost so much one day. Not only had she lost her mother on an accident but she had also lost her best friend due to a fire. Since that day, she’s not the same sweet girl. But some of that is because of her father. He’s a ruthless man that take no prisoners. Years later she’s not the same. Her father hasnt been present for her but money can pay everything right? How can she be free? How can she find happiness when she feels so lonely?

Oh sweet lord… I’m mad… So mad… But in a good way…
The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging, suspenseful and intense. Each scene was super detailed and made reading this book so much more appealing.
The interaction between the characters is perfect despite all the darkness that surrounds them.
How can you move forward when your past keeps keeping you back? How can you give your heart when your soul is super black?
This book gives us love, loyalty, friendship but all is blackened due to crime, betrayal, deceive and lies.
And then the end left me mad…
Seriously Angela?? Why? Why? Why? Where’s book 2?
I need it right now… Please… I need more… I need to know…

I read this story as part of Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology.
Book 1 in a brand new series by the author. I didn’t think it was as dark as previous books by her but still just as sexy and gripping.
Victoria and Damon became friends when they were both children but went their separate ways after a series of tragic events. Fast forward several years later when only one thing is in Damon’s mind: vengeance.
The suspense part of the story was engaging but I thought the romance moved too fast. I might feel that way because I’m not a fan of stories where 2 people meet when they’re children/teenagers and carry a torch for a crush for so long, then they meet again and suddenly it’s love out of nowhere. It was still enjoyable though and I’ll definitely continue reading the series.

FRICKEN DEVIOUS!
Damnashen! A non-stop rollercoaster ride of page turning suspense filled twists that will have you frazzled with an urgent desire to get to the end as humanly possible because boy-o-boy this is a brilliantly written dark demanding devious read that once you start there's no stopping and will have you hungry and thirsty for more! Spine-tingling dark chemistry and a flurry of emotions that will have you spinning out of control filled with anger, sadness and a crushing broken overwhelming feeling to pure enjoyment. A lot of head shaking arms flailing verbal outbursts and ticked off wanting to reach in and give a few well deserved attitude adjustments. One heck of an intense must read that does not disappoint and is true to its given name it is Devious! I'm hooked I can't wait to read more!

I'm a HUGE fan of dark and twisted romance, so Angela's story Devious caught my attention! A revenge storyline Friends to lovers romance, and characters you'll adore!

Devious by Angela Snyder what a start to the Deviant series, the rest of this series can’t come quickly enough!!! This was by far my favourite read by this author, there was just something powerful in the words, Victoria Ciccone isn’t the only character hiding her true self, but she is the one with the story that could break you, on the surface she looks like she has it all, enough money she doesn’t have to work, gracing the pages of the society pages, but beneath the glamour and galas is the heart of a little girl not many get to see, I imagine those special enough to see her locket are very special people indeed. I can’t wait to hear where her and bidding date’s story goes next.

If you like your reads dark, dangerous and suspenseful.... this is the book for you! I was spellbound by the storyline and captivated by the characters which had me in a state of refusal.... refusal to put this book down until the very end! Now impatiently waiting for book 2!

If you like a dark romance this is for you. It's a revenge love story with great characters.
Damon (Arlo), is out for revenge, Victoria's dad took his life away, now it's his time to do the same and the only way is through Victoria, the girl he loved before his family was taken.
Victoria is the daughter of a dark man, who has his fingers in most criminal activity in the city, Victoria gets paraded around like he is a doting dad but it mainly for show. Victoria is a down to earth women with a good heart, nothing like the papers show.
I found Damon interesting and wondered how he didn't show many traits he would have had when younger, he was very careful or did he, and that's one of the reasons Victoria likes him?
Their relationship grows quickly, and end up spending a lot of time together and you have to wonder could he really go through with his plan, is revenge more important than love? Guess what it ends on a cliffy - hurry up book 2.

Firstly, the cover was just off. It was more suitable for those MC type of books than this one. Second of all, the Hero himself did not qualify to be portrayed like that. The Hero here in this book; Damon aka Arlo, was too soft, too sensitive or melancholic for my liking.
I mean, if he were going to extract a vengeance towards the heroine's father, he should be more ruthless and overbearing. I like my heroes ALPHA and unfortunately, this one was not.
As for the heroine, I liked her just fine; she was beautiful and rich. She had a kind heart and plus she was a virgin. BUT my peeve was that she gave her virginity too easily; on her first ever date - to literally a stranger. Okay backtrack, she was supposed to be innocent; she'd never been kissed, never gone on a date but on her first date ever - she went to third base in the parking lot?!!! I found that hard to digest.
Thirdly, the writing ... I don't know if I am the only one noticing it. I could see the difference between good writing vs bad one. I'm not saying this was bad, but just, not good. The sentences did not flow seamlessly. It sounded like how a high school English student would write. Like me, heheh (I'm not good, you see). It lacked the effortless flow - if you know what I mean.
Anyways, the plot was good. The characters were okay ... Hero not so much into him, although he would've made an excellent alpha. The writing - meh. Overall, okay.
Not gonna bother to read the second book.

I read Devious by Angela Snyder as part of the Outlaws Wanted Anthology. It's so good! A twisty story about a man's revenge for his father's murder and his mother and sister being kidnapped! Arlo was a was a child when this happened but he never forgot who did this...the father of the girl that he loved. Now he's a man and he's changed his identity and plans to use that girl who is now a young woman to exact his revenge. Victoria never asked to be born the daughter of a notorious mob boss. She's led a lonely life ever since the death of her mother then the deaths of the family next door in a mysterious fire. She lives a privileged life but she would give it all up to live a real life. When she meets a handsome stranger at a charity event she's immediately smitten. Damon is everything that she wants in a man...or is he what he appears to be? Told from dual POV and it's a steamy, intriguing ride! I cannot tell you any more about their story without giving away the plot and I won't do that! Pick it up now!

Damon is set on getting revenge for what happened to him family when he was a small boy. He will use any means nessecary, including Victoria. He remembers her, but he know she doesn't remember him. Using her to get to her father should be easy as can be, or maybe not.....Victoria never forgot Arlo, the boy next door. She still clings to the necklace he gave her all those years ago. Something about Damon just pulls her in and she can't help but fall for him, but something about him makes her remember Arlo. She is in for one h#ll of a ride and it won't be pretty....I can't wait for the second part of this story! I am dying to know what happens!!

It's not often a book renders me speechless but this story is so good I can't find enough words to praise it as it deserves.
The drama, the suspense and the deep dark thoughts will he won't he all add to this amazing, addictive and thrilling story.

Damon is out for revenge and doesn’t care what he has to do he will do it and end it all. Victoria hasn’t had a good life like people think. On the inside she’s dying slowly just missing her mom and the one guy that had her heart. Now this story is intense, twisted and definitely a page turner. I can’t wait for book 2! No spoilers you like revenge books this is one you definitely can’t pass up! 5/5 stars

This book was so good. The story line was captivating and had me hooked from page one! Damon/Arlo is a character you can't help but love and feel for, understanding his need for vengeance. And I really loved Victoria's beautiful character. She is truly a caring person, deserving love. I did not see the cliffhanger coming! It has me biting my nails, waiting for the next installment!

This is part one of a two part dark romance. Damon is a tortured soul out for revenge, Victoria is an innocent bystander that he is using to get what he wants! Angela Snyder has a way of writing books that pull you in and keep you until the end! I can’t wait for part two!

So yes, I was warned that this ended in a cliffhanger. The blurb was so interesting and I couldn’t resist even though I hate cliffys!
Victoria is the innocent in this story. Used as a pawn between Damon, the man of her dreams, and her evil, murderous father.
Damon had revenge and retribution in his mind and heart. He never meant to fall for his target’s daughter. Victoria was a means to get to Ciccone, her evil father.
This was a well-written, fast paced, intense, and suspenseful romance.
The intimate scenes were graphic, raw, and passionately written. My heart broke when Victoria found out about Damon’s deceptions and her father’s participation in the death and sex trafficking of his family.
The cliffy was a doozy!! I was thinking “He DID NOT just do that!!!?” I can’t wait to find out what happens with Damon and Victoria

Enjoyable read
