Bear Clan #3

The BEARly Tamed Grizzly

Rate this book
Oli

I didn’t know her, what she looked like, where she was, but I knew my mate was out there. And it was that truth that had me saving myself for her. Only her. If I couldn’t fully give myself over to my fated mate, what kind of worthy male was I?

But staying in town, hidden deep within the forest, wouldn’t bring my mate to me. I had to go and find her.
I had to make her mine.

India

As a former foster child, I never had real family, no roots. I’d always felt like something was missing, so I worked hard on helping others. My mobile medical van was where my passion lay. It’s how I made sure no one else felt helpless.

But when my van was broken into, and my safety compromised, it was a big bear-shifting male who came to the rescue.

Oli said I was his. He claimed I was his mate. He seemed certain of it just by looking at me. It was insanity, but I couldn’t deny the pull I felt for him, the way my body craved his.

Pushing him away wasn’t an option, not when he was always there, watching me, making sure I was protected. And it was that need inside of me, the one that grew and consumed me, that finally had me giving in.
I soon realized being mated to a bear shifter meant he was grumpy, protective, possessive, and wanted only one thing.

Me.

”I wanted her to feel the same way for me as I did for her.”

I am super trash for this shifter series and these books just keep getting better and better. Oli and India are my second favorite couple that we have met so far. Their chemistry was phenomenal and I was fanning myself while reading about Oli claiming his mate. I can’t wait for Asher’s story next. I have a feeling his mate is going turn his life upside down. In a good way of course!

Holy shit, I loved this book. But what's not to love?
-dual virgins
-hot OTT, alpha, possessive, virgin bear shifter (GAH!!!)
-insta-love
-strong heroine
-no abuse
-no OM/OW drama
-dual POV
-good epilogue at 18 months later
I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I'm just really hoping that the rest of the bear shifter brothers are virgins too. It's not necessary to read books 1 and 2 but I highly recommend it. They're just so good!

Oli is happy that his brothers, Zakaria and Maddix, found their mates, but it just reinforces that he hasn't, and makes him more determined to change that. Instead of waiting for her to come to him, something that may never happen, he goes looking for her and heads to California, feeling that's where he needs to be.

India didn't have much growing up, a product of the foster care system and never being adopted, but it's only made her stronger, focused on doing what she can to help others. And her mobile medical van has accomplished that. She hopes to expand into more states, but knows she must take one step at a time. However, when she meets Oli, she's ready to skip all the steps and jump into a forever with him.

Oli and India instantly feel the connection and Oli knows she's meant to be his, he just needs to convince her of that. Thankfully, it doesn't take long as every minute in his company strengthens her confidence that he's special.

One-click now and follow along as soulmates meet and are ready to start their forever. I can't wait for the next book. I'm loving this series, especially the fact the Heroes are virgins. Such a refreshing change.

This author never lets me down her books are definitely a one click for me every time. Loving this series though.

Oli has been waiting all his life god his mate but after watching two of his brothers find theirs he decides to go looking for her. He doesn’t know where he will find her but he’s determined not to give up hope. California brings him his dream he has finally found his mate now he just needs to make India his.

India grew up in the care system and never really had a family, something she has always longed for. Running a mobile care van she tries to help the homeless and in need Until one night she’s attacked and suddenly she finds herself under the protection of Oli and he’s claiming her as his. Is she really that lucky to find someone who loves her that much, she has her doubts but one thing she knows is Oli already has her heart.

Totally safe, super cute read definitely cheered my day up.

Yo.

The BEARly Tamed Grizzly de Jenika Snow libro 3 Bear Clan

Oli was having a hard time because both of his brothers had found their mates and he still hadn't. He decides to take things into his own hands and go looking for her.

India is a nurse who has a mobile medical van and helps people who are in need.

Oli felt like something was about to happen but he didn't know what, didn't know when, he just had a strange feeling a few times. He finally put it together that the mobile medical van had been around when he had the strongest strange feelings so this time when he spotted it he went to it. That's when he realized it had just been burglarized and India was inside having just been attacked. They don't meet under the greatest of circumstances but she needed help and he was there to do what he could.

When he realizes he just found his mate he does what he can to keep his grizzly from coming out and scaring her even more. She's not sure what the heck is going on but she feels better with him there.

It almost seemed like it was a sort of intuition that made a shifter or their mate go in a certain way or stop in a certain place in this trilogy or at least it seemed that way to me. They always seem to go to the right place to find their mates which was fun.

Watching these two get to know one another and get closer was fun. They are so good together and it was a great story and ending to the trilogy that I've really enjoyed. I like the little look at the end of each of these books where we get to see a little while in the future and how they're doing. This was a great novella and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Finding your other half

A quick read, when Oli gets tired of waiting for his mate he decides maybe it’s him who needs to go find her. Leaving his brothers behind he embarks on a journey far from home to find his other half.

India has been on her own forever having grown up in the foster system she never really belonged to anyone. She’s lonely but has managed to do something she loves and that’s provide help to others less fortunate.

When These two meet though it’s like they become one. They complete each other. India has finally found the part of her that was missing.

It’s dirty, it’s fast. Buts it’s also sweet.

If you love your shifter romance then dive in.

*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenes
Oli and his man bun is lonely. Oli can't be around hus mated brothers, because he us jealous. Oli leaves his family woods to see if he can find his mate before he goes insane.
India has always been alone, never had any family. Lately India feels not only lonely, but like something is missing.
This is a short one, judt like the first 2 of the series. I really like the cover of this one. I like this series because they are short and I can read them on trips or at appointments. I like the characters and the fast pace of the story.

3.5 knight in shining armour stars!

Instead of waiting for his mate to find him, Oli has set out on his own to find her...and keep her.

These stories are such fun, short, over the top, sexy reads.

A bear shifter and his mate, a nurse who wants to help the world. Short and sweet, with plenty of steam to go along with their instant-love story.

It wasn't just any kind of arousal. It was bone-breaking, soul-sucking, heat-inducing desire. It was the kind that took everything from you, that left you a broken mess on the ground unable to breathe.

"The BEARly Tamed Grizzly" is the story of India and Oli.

An orphaned nurse finds her furry mate in a bear shifter, when she gets attacked and he saves her. This leads to insta love, chitty chitty bang bang, minimal drama and HEA.

The cover is BOMB though!

Quick, h*t, sexy shifter read. I really enjoyed reading about Oli and India.
Oli is in search of his fated mate. He's left Colorado and is now in California when he senses something, but is unsure if it's his mate.
India has taken care of her last patient in her mobile medical van. She is driving to different locations to provide care to whoever needs it. Her dream was to be able to have multiple states and cities with mobile medical vans.
One night she had finished cleaning and closing up when two men broke into the van and assaulted her, ransacked the place looking for things of value to be sold for their addiction.
Oli was finished surfing and was walking to his truck when he sensed something and the hair on his arms was standing on end. He looked around and noticed the med van. He walked over to the van to check around it and heard heavy breathing with fear laced into it... He pushes the door open and enters looking at the mess in the van when he heard and saw her but most of all his inner bear telling him mate...

Title: The Bearly Tamed Grizzly (Bear Clan 3)
Author: jenikasnow
Published on 6th March 2019.

TBTG is a soulful, intimate, intense, obsessive and beautifully penned out story. What a fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed everything just like the other books in this series.

Jenika Snow has gifted capabilities to connect her readers with the characters she establishes. We feel their intensity as much as they show in the book. We feel a frenzy of emotions succumbing to pure pleasure.

This is a Short read and fast paced book with just the perfect touch of romance, lust, protection and love. Did I forget hot sex? Tick tick tick. Go on, read and swoon all you want. It won't disappoint you a bit.

3 stars. The series as a whole is pretty repetitive, with some better than others - this one has some unique points, and is definitely my favorite of the bunch.

Here, our leads are lonely bear Oli (brother 3 of 6), and his fated mate India. Unlike his brothers, Oli is not going to wait for his mate to find him - he's going out to find her! He heads to the California coast, where he encounters India, a nurse who runs a mobile clinic for homeless, underprivileged, and the like. Love and mating bonds at first sight, but Oli first has to satisfy his protective instincts - they met when he rescued India from a pair breaking into her clinic, and having his mate at risk just won't do!

Unlike the first two, there's actually a touch of plot here! Oli interrupts a robbery as he's trying to find his fated mate, and there actually is closure to that story arc. And India doesn't end up totally subsumed by Oli and the bear clan either - there's notes at the end about how she's expanding her clinics, getting new vehicles running, etc. With the first two stories, there just wasn't anything after the mate bond - just lots of love between the leads and lots of pregnancy and little cubs. While there's still that here, it was really nice seeing details about India still in play, that she's still her own person after the mating, just with a partner. Allison and Bethany became rather interchangeable - nothing more about the dance or the accounting at the end of the story, other than that the girls have moved in with their bears. Just left the leads feeling very generic, and that wasn't the case as much with India. Part of why this was my favorite of the series.

Still has that obnoxious method to 'build tension' with nothing actually happening - just wasting pages as they (basically) stare at each other and think in circles before falling into bed. Still here, but not as many pages here. More time spent with Oli trying to find India, trying to help her after the break-in, etc. I don't ask for a lot of plot in these short stories, but it's nice to see a little!

Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating, no love triangles, no OW/OM drama. Very little drama at all, just OTT instalove fated mates. Dual virgin leads (nice change!). While short OTT reads can be nice, light, mindless escapes, this series can tip into predictable, formulaic, and nothing much actually happening. I don't need high drama or high angst, but really, very, very little happened in the individual stories. Still, HEA and epilogues, and while not a cliffhanger, the next brother was introduced.

Would I read more? It's not badly written, but there are short SPN romances (even OTT instalove Fated Mates ones) that have a bit more meat to the plot and stick in the mind a bit more, seem less interchangeable. But hey - free Kindle find, so maybe if there are more Snow books free on Kindle, why not. Like I said, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't a great or unique series, and there are other authors I'd go to first.

This is an OK shifter romance, but it is just too short to have as much character development as I'd like. It is actually just a short story, as it is just over 80 pages. It gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded up to 3 stars.

I mostly liked India, but I got annoyed with Oli and all his dirty talk. Almost everything he said had the word f*** in it, and I found it irritating.

I honestly didn't see why India was attracted to Oli -- especially if he looked like the guy on the book cover. Yes, he has nice muscles, but all those tattoos and that weird hair? Ugh. I know some people really like tattoos, but not me. But, really, India was human, and wouldn't have felt the mate connection that Oli did. So I didn't believe she would fall for him that quickly.

I also felt like they were more in lust than in love. I get that he was a shifter, and automatically loved his mate -- but it seemed like the only thing they really felt for each other was uncontrollable lust.

I did like that both the H/h were virgins -- it always bothers me when the h is a virgin, but the H is a total womanizer.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Sweet, Sexy, & Most Definitely Swoon Worthy...

The third installment in Jenika Snow's, Bear Clan series. "The BEARly Tamed Grizzly" is the mating story of Oli and India. Oli being another of the six Colorado Rockies Bear Clan brothers featured in this series. And India, a California nurse and former foster kid working on filling the crushing emptiness within her through helping others.

This story is a departure from the first two of the series. As unlike the first two installments, where the brothers were secretly trying to deal with the negetive emotions of not yet having their mates. Here we see brother Oli taking matters into his own hands and traveling away from their mountain home in search of his mate, rather than waiting for his mate to come to him. And travel he does, all the way to sunny California where encounters India working in her medivan.

This installment is definitely tamer than the first two. It's almost sweet and gentler than the others, more in keeping with brother Oli's laid back personality. However, it is still a wonderful example of author Jenika Snow's alpha rich storytelling. And in keeping with this series in general, it is still indulgently filthy and full of the growly alpha obsessiveness as only Snow can write.

It's a sweet and sexy, fast paced, swoon worthy, fated mate driven story sure to make paranormal loving readers with an unbending love for strong, larger-than-life, feral shifter men sigh with happiness :)

Fun, FLURTY, fast and FOREVER! Awesome PN romance, a STEAMY, EXCELLENT READ!
BEARly TAMED is tantalizing and so much fun to read! To call it well-written doesn't adequately describe author Jenika Snow's ability to weave a marvelous world into being. One close enough to reality that it feels contemporary to her romance readers and yet has magical attributes that make it both fantastic and fantasy at the same time. Add to her masterful writing, Snows ability to build characters using both dual narration and dire circumstances as tools which give readers both an insight and compassion for people who are embroiled in circumstances which build trust quickly and so accelerated the relationship that falling in love seemed inevitable! Additionally, the process of investment was so accelerated by the events and emotions, I could swear this novella was so much longer! Bottom line is this: “BEARly TAMED” is a GREAT read! As a practice, I do not give more than 4 stars to a novella, but “BEARly TAMED” is just too good to limit. So, that extra ½ star has to be added. It’s a short, thrilling roller-coaster ride through the lives and love of an amazing human who gave her all to help others and her fated mate who gave his all to find her. Get your copy of “BEARly TAMED” today! Happy pages! 😉

This is one of those books that is hard to rate for I'm guessing it'd change dramatically person to person depending on what the individual enjoys or expects from their reading... And I'm afraid to say that I wanted much more from this than it gave me as the story is absolutely basic, the characters are two dimensional and the world-building is practically non-existent. I know it's a novella but come on!

The male - Oli - is a bear shifter and the whole thing is about him finding and claiming his mate. There's no drama, no tension, no adaptation or adjustment period just meet, accept, mate and live happily ever after.

It was really that simple, that unoriginal and that forgettable.

I'd say that at least the sex was hot but it was overly long and the author liked to repeat herself... Not to mention the fact she used phraseology such as:

"I pushed her legs farther apart, staring down at the sweet center that I'd soon be destroying."

How romantic, eh?! So hot. What virgin doesn't want her 'sweet center' destroyed during their first time by their mate? 😶

So, yeah. It was a quick read (about an hour) and it was a fated-mates, low-conflict, romance with a happy ever after that I can't say I was a fan of, however, I'm positive that there is a market for it and to each their own!

3 Brothers Down & 3 To Go!

Oli finally got his happily ever after and found the mate he’s been dreaming about all his life. Though India isn’t a shifter, she’s always felt like she was missing something, that she didn’t belong, all that changes when she first meets Oli. For the first time in her life, she knows it’s going to be ok, she isn’t going to be alone ever again.

If you love to get lost in short, steamy, shifter romances, this is the book/series for you! It’s light and drama free. Just two people finding their other halves and having smoking hot sex ;)

One tiny set back, some parts seem a little repetitive, very similar to the first two books. Even the sex scenes are similar in each book. Not so much that it takes away your enjoyment of the book, but close enough that it’s noticeable.

First it was Zakari, then Maddix, then now Oli. Bear shifters who thought they would never find their mates, only to find them in the unlikeliest of places.

This time it's Oli's turn. It was sweet how Oli decided to search for his mate instead of waiting for her to come to him. In doing so, he met her, India, just at the time she needed a saviour.

I love that Jenika Snow was not too over-the-top with Oli and India's story, and that she touched on a basic human need, which is to find where, or who, one belongs to. It makes her her shifter stories more relatable, and enjoyable, for me.

If you want a short, sweet, read, grab The BEARly Tamed Grizzly, and and join the brothers in their search for true love and happiness!
