What would it be like to have a true mate? What if that mate was a werewolf? Three best friends are about to find out.
Begin the award-winning Grey Wolves series with the first three Prince of Wolves, Blood Rites, and Just One Drop.
The Grey Wolves series follows the adventures of three high school seniors, Jacque, Jen, and Sally, as the girls are introduced to the hidden world of the Romanian grey wolves. The grey wolves' universe is populated with dominant male Alpha werewolves who slowly succumb to the darkness within them unless they find their true mates. It just so happens these three ladies are destined to become true mates to some of the most powerful males in the Canis lupus world.
But destiny won't be fulfilled without a fight. Female Canis lupus are few and far between, and sinister dominant wolves will rise to challenge for the right to mate with these new, unique females. The ensuring chaos will undermine the strength of the packs, just when a new threat to the Canis lupus world emerges, one that can only be defeated by the strength that comes from the special union of true mates.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
I tried to read this hot mess, I really did. I got to 26% & threw in the towel.
Why I hated this collection:
1. I HATE all Young Adult fiction. I hate the angst, the snark & the know it all attitude associated with YA fiction. 2. This collection was proofread & edited by rank amateurs. Beta readers, best friends & family don't qualify as proofreaders & editors. Spellcheck also does not stand in lieu of a REAL proofreader & editor. (Cheapskate!) 3. While I could give kudos for keeping the language clean, there is NO EXCUSE for boring me to death. The conversations were stiff & stilted. Zero flow to the dialog. 4. I quit at 26% because I felt that I would run screaming & tearing my hair if I had to endure another wink... I only made it to 26% & there were dozens of winks. Winks at other people, winks to themselves in the mirror. I'm not kidding or exaggerating at all. 5. The author presented a sloppy, hot mess to the readers as a finished product. While I found no misspellings in the 26% that I read, there were dozens of other errors. Wrong words (misused homonyms), missing words, punctuation errors, etc. It's evidence of the author's disrespect for the readers.
I won't tell you not to read this mess, just be cognizant that you will be disappointed.
The best thing about these books is the humour. The author has a definite talent for writing clever dialogue. Having said that, these books are definitely YA. Having three girls of eighteen fall in love for the first and last time is inconceivable. At least let them be in their twenties. The thing that really annoys me the most is that this is not a series, it is a serial. Each book ends in a cliffhanger before that part of the story concludes. In addition, the editing and proofreading could be better. The continuity is not good, the grammar is very bad at times and word usage is often bad. If it wasn’t for these points it could indeed have been as good as the hype promised.
But holy crap!! How many freaken times do you need to say Jacque name on EVERY PAGE !! I looked up the name in the books, is said over a THOUSANDS times !! Like whyyyyy it’s on every page minimum twice like we know she talking !! Gosh dang !! I don’t have high hopes for finishing this .
It started strange with teenagers being mated but I went with the flow. I got it and was involved in the story. And I know you need to leave a little hanging in a series, but after all the hours reading three books you leave a big gaping hole unfinished? Not cool. Not cool at all.
I rarely read YA fantasy as the main characters are usually so unbelievable. They suddenly discover they're magic/non human/special and immediately become the smartest, most powerful, and strongest leader in the room. The book teaser didn't mention that the main characters are high school seniors so I almost quit reading that that point, but decided to give the story a chance and kept on. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the characters (and world) are fairly well done, not as aggravatingly superior like most YA main characters. The thing that bothers me about the characters was also the thing that kept me reading the entire box set - the banter between the characters is good, pretty much hilarious in places. That said, the author takes it too far at times, in situations where almost no adult I know would tolerate their back talk. It's even harder to believe that some of the characters in the book would tolerate it at all, but the girls constantly get away with it. That's annoying. The other odd thing are the many references to pop culture from 10-12 years ago. I get many of them, but in a few years the conversations will seem so dated that many readers won't understand the references unless they look them up. The editing was OK. There are noticeable misused words and typos but not quite enough to keep me from finishing the stories. So, I'd have given this 4 stars for the dialog and pretty good story, but minus a star for the main characters actually being obnoxious at times and the lack of good editing.
This was a great box set, I hated that it ended so quickly. These books are fun, these girls are hilarious 😂. They kept me entertained. They get themselves into so much trouble but compared to when Jacque met her mate Fane, that's when everything got really dangerous. Jacque finds out she half wolf. The drama kept coming for new royal couple trying to take Fane's mate. Jennifer 1 of her best friends find out she has wolf blood in here. Sally the other best friend finds out she's a gypsy healer. The Romanian pack is the largest and strongest pack in the world. Just about every alpha want the top spot. I enjoyed their slang, it's so urban. They aren't but the slang is. Book 3 could've ended differently, but it played out nicely leaving you wanting more.
I really enjoy reading this series. This is definitely a magnificent series I have read all of books in this series and I must say that I will be delighted to read this series over and over again. The characters are captivating, exciting and entertaining. The story is so compelling and enjoyable you will absolutely enjoy every book written in the series.
Sadly I can't give more than 3 stars as there are some big errors. In book 1 it is said Fans is 6'1" and book 3 he is 6'4". Also in book 2 it is said that the Fever pack would come to Romania before the gathering so Tanya can meet Jacquin. But in book3 they dont come early. There are also some minor gramtical errors throughout all 3 book. Will I read the rest of the books most likely, as money allows.
How old is this person who wrote this teenage book seems old as dirt? The H is immature and emotional it’s pathetic! The guy is patient and kind very likable. The book has its ups and downs kinda boring I struggled to reach the end. Don’t know if I’m going to read the 2nd one...........
If you love to read about werewolves and other supernaturals then you will love this series. It has it all. Suspense, love, action, tragedy. You will meet the most amazing characters and fall in love with them all. Jacque, Sally and Jen have an adventure that you do not want to miss. They laugh, love and are a crazy trio. This is a definite must read.
Interesting almost adult antics. Sassy dialogue. Strength of the women's characters are enticing. Males are a bit predictable over bearing but understandable. Some fun antics come about because of the overbearing men
Fun antics to counter the overbearing men. Great sassy dialogue between the women. I thought the tattoos are a great identifier.
This series is the best one I have read. I put it down only when I had to. It has a deep plot with an outstanding storyline! It involves 3 young women who have been friends forever. They are also dormant shifter wolves. They meet shifter wolves and you will need to read the books to see what happens. I highly recommend it!
One of the best set of stories I have read in a while I can't wait to read the rest. Real stories that are all action and romance not graphic heat ..... Think Harry potter wolf style.....Not one to be missed, but be warned you won't get anything done once you start to read them snarky, fiery heroines ballot and the bossy alpha mates they torture
Not a conclusion. It's a continuation of the story. The story is 4 stars as far as plot, characters and writing goes. I was very disappointed it didn't have a HEA. I can only stick with a book so long before giving up. If I wanted a series I would watch Dallas on T.V. I did like the teen snark, but really it's time the girls grew up.
This is an epic series. I accidentally started with The Gypsy Healer series and had to backtrack. Absolutely riveting. You won’t want to put it down. Take average human girls and plunge them into the supernatural world, and you get one heck of an adventure that just keeps going!
It is everything you want in a shifter series! This author has so much adventure in her series that I just loved. She plays with spicy without depending on going into every detail. I like that it was not every chapter depending on spice without any real story. I mean this has action!
It just keeps you wanting more. I don’t like the fact they don’t come with kindle unlimited so I have to pay for them but I’m making it work😁. Going to pay for the next three to get my wolf on.😂😂😂
I really liked this set of books. The characters were very interesting. The descriptions vivid. The story has me on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately the third book in this series is a cliff hanger. I detest cliffhangers.
This is one of the best series I've read in a while.i could hardly focus on anything else aside from turning the next page. Thank you and I'm looking forward to starting book four ASAP today.
With a good editor and a serious overhaul on the entire series, it could be really good. There’s such potential buried in the muck of bad writing and storytelling of this author. This author also needs to be told when to stop.
These books keep you hurriedly turning pages. Wonderful characters and settings. My only complaint is Jen’s potty mouth. I worry that teens reading this will think she is to be mimicked.
