3.5 STARS enjoyable, I liked book 1 a bit more. Looking forward to see what’s next. This whole series is GREAT, I could see it as a Netflix or HBO series. I love his humor

I'm really liking these 4 guys, but I want some resolution! I knew going in that this was a serial, so I'm not complaining about that- I just want them all to be happy!
I need Dean and Sam to figure things out- or for Sam at least to realize Dean doesn't want more than him. Dean seems like such a sweetie and just wants his husband.
I kind of had a feeling about what's to come for Garrett, but I'm liking it! Well, I hope I like it, if it turns out the way I want it.
Caysen and Wade, gah these 2! I know it's got to be hard for Caysen, not wanting to mess things up with Wade and their friendship. Especially after their "talk", but ugh. Although now, maybe we'll get some real open communication between them!

I love all of the characters in this series, but it definitely gets confusing with the multiple storylines going on at once. I sometimes get lost in the characters. Like, I just finally get into their head and then we're on to someone else. Regardless of my above comment, I'm invested in this group of friends and can't wait to see what happens with all of them. I feel like I want to pick a favorite but I love them all for different reasons. Caysen and Wade - because who doesn't love a good friends to lovers (if that's what happens) plot. Garret and his boss and just his whole situation in general. I need to know what happens to him. Dean and Sam - man do these two need a serious heart to heart again. Gahhh! Two more books to go!

I am absolutely LOVING these boys of Daryl Banner's. Four friends who seem to have this love/hate thing going on but yet have each other's backs when needed. This time around, Banner delves a bit deeper into individual relationships between the foursome with Wade and Caysen both working out together and going to see Wade's less than welcoming parents for a family weekend, and Dean and Garret going to a 'jock-com' while Dean's husband Sam is away.
Both scenarios are filled with a bit of angst as Caysen is drawn more than ever to his former roommate Wade and is desperate to find a way to make him more than just a best friend. And Garret is anxious to find his 'groove' at this 'jock-com' with the surprising oft-chance of coming face to face to the man who he can't stop thinking or dreaming about. All the while Dean having the time of his life and finally coming to see that there is more to Garret than meets the eye. But still having his own doubts and hesitations when it comes to his older husband.
All 4 men have their secret desires and fears they are all just coming to realize. I love how Banner has woven each storyline together and is deliberately being a bit coy about how each will affect the others. It's well done and I'm really enjoying myself with these sexy guys. It's great fun and I can't wait to see what will transpire next.

Does Daryl know how to string us along or what?
I thought after Caysen's book that I wouldn't survive until the next installment. Caysen's Catch can't even hold a candle to how I feel after Wade's Workout.
Things were progressing nicely for our four friends last we knew. Now we live through Wade's harsh rejection from an audition that leads him to asking his best friend, Caysen, for help to get his body in better shape. Although it is probably not good for his heart, Caysen accepts Wade as a client but worries that his feelings will never be reciprocated. Garrett discovers a fetish convention he want to go to and invites Dean to tag along, since Sam is out of town, again. Maybe Garrett will learn more about himself and what he wants out a relationship than just what Jeremy has (or doesn't have, to be honest) to offer him.
Can these friends get out of their heads enough to realize there is more going on around them than their own worlds? Can they be what they need from each other to keep going on? I can't wait for the next installment to find out!

Book 2 in the series.. Recommend read in order to get full effective of the series.
Garrett - He wants to a attend Jock Con and asks Dean to go with him. When he gets there it is nothing like he was expecting until he meets the hot football player. While he can't see him behind the helmet he is wearing he is attracted and the voice the man has brings him in further but is there something familiar about that voice?
Dean= he goes with Garrett while Sam is away on business.. Dean is having a blast but his friend isn't he doesn't know what to do to help him but he does find some fun things to bring back to Sam. Will Sam enjoy them?

While the first book in the series Cayden's Catch was our introduction to our beautiful 4 boys, this book begins their journeys in my eyes. There is more depth than I originally expected in all these boys. Will Cayden get crushed by his feelings for Wade? Will Wade ever get the serious parts he truly needs and will he ever realize how Cayden feels? Dean is still trying to find his footing with Sam and trying to convince his husband that he is all he needs. And Garrett--while I originally found him a little off putting -- this story brought me around to loving him...and realizing that all four of these men are really looking for the same thing...the life that is truly who they are and that person who will love them, warts and all. I'm ready for Dean's story!!

Super fun series! You must read Caysen’s Catch first. Continues to follow the group of friends on their adventures. I love Caysen’s crush on Wade. It adds a sweetness to the friendship. Garret continues his foray into kink with a hilarious Jock Con that he takes Dean to. Dean is so enthusiastically supportive of his friend. It is adorable. I enjoy seeing the friendship between the guys and the snippets into their lives. Ends at the perfect spot to set up the next installment. The voices of the four guys are so unique that you have no trouble telling who’s narrating.

Wow..things keep heating up in this next installment of the Boys & Toys series!! Wade is a sweet (but not too observant) actor trying to make himself fit the mold of a piece of no-talent eye-candy (which he is clearly not), while Caysen continues to moon over his not-so-secret crush. Dean goes on a fun weekend with Garret and discovers some new things he might enjoy...while Garret's business and personal life come crashing down around him. Whew what a fun and sexy ride...can't wait for Dean's Dare!!

This is a great #2 to the series. I love these boys. I think this series is just getting better. This one is my favorite (so far).
I got gripped from the beginning and didn't want this story to end. I mean we get to where I absolutely need to know what happens next and it ends.

The boys are back!!! Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garrett's characters are realistic and loveable. Even though the majority of us read to get lost in a book, it's nice to read a book that can be realistic too. It teaches us things and that book becomes memorable.

I like all the storylines and characters...

Interesting next installment on the story -- this is definitely NOT a stand-alone, and I don't think the whole story will really be finished until the fourth one. I'm still interested, so I'll be reading the next one soon...

I'm thoroughly enjoying the boys. Wade's a little dense, but thank goodness for his sister Lena! Wondering how Garret's mystery man will handle things. Looking forward to the next in series.

After reading the first book in the series with a slow build up of strong storylines, this was a disappointing filler. It gets boring after a point when the author thinks of erotica readers as stupid mofos who would fall for the same old tropes and this one doesn't even have the good structure of a solid plot. There are so many foolish instances just to connect the story which makes me think if people really don't care for this kind of stuff.
Now what follows may be SPOILER-ish.
This book is about Wade and in the first book he was made out to be this serious actor who doesn't take shit when it comes to his acting career and now he's asking his friend to make his body jacked just because he got one rejection for a role he didn't even know what it was for? Seriously??? I mean you gotta be more specific than that to get a little burnt and go on a streak of getting changed for a role (which doesn't even exist!), ignoring the part that it doesn't even jibe with his characterisation from the first book. It got boring, fast!
Also, a plot point in Garret's story. I mean we all knew it was gonna be the boss at the Jock-con. But for Garrett to make the connection of a Jock and his boss' words because he heard 6 words in a loud bar where they both were wearing helmets (but were able to converse clearly?). I mean if you're working for a person and he's starring in your fantasies for many nights, wouldn't you be able to identify their body even if you don't see their face??? I hate it when authors make these stupid reasons and stuff just to make up a story.
I'll still give the next one a shot but I'm not expecting anything given the snooze fest this one was. I wanna be surprised not dumbed down.

Caysen is thrilled to spend quality time with his friend, but is there more? "I'm a very personal personal trainer."
Loved this second book in the Boys & Toys Series by Daryl Banner. Laugh out loud funny, and touching and emotional at other times. The author leaves enough hanging for the reader to have to come back for book 3.
"He has this beautiful way of speaking down to me that makes me feel both totally acknowledged as a human being, yet admonished like a puppy. It's no wonder I crave to be scolded by him."

The review is for all 4 books of the BOYS & TOYS Series since I read all in 24 hours during a book binge.

We meet all 4 guys from the start and have scenes from the POV of Caysen, Wade, Dean, Garret through the series, we each see their journey of themselves and their love life. There is hot sex scenes, flirting, embarrassing moments and romantic moments throughout. I loved how there is so many tropes in this book: bestfriends to lovers with a lot of drama and men to get to their HEA, husbands growing more closer through some unexpected scenes, and a employee and boss with a common fetish but a long slow burn that had me thinking they will never get together. There were some interesting characters that the MCs met in the series that had a positive effect like Zane, Jeremy and Diesel. And then there were those that I hope to never seen again LOL. The secondary character I hope Daryl will write a story for in a spin off series or Menage novel. :) I greatly enjoyed this series especially when I bought them from him personally at #BookBonanza19 and signed.

I get excited with every new release from Daryl Banner, and each book I read just reinforces him as one of my favourite authors. Wade's Workout was no different.
Wade's Workout, the second in the Boys and Toys Series by Daryl Banner, continues the journey with four friends Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garret. Told from each friends point of view, this book dives further into the relationship between Wade and Cayson, and Dean and Garret, and further elaborates on Garret's fettishes.
It is hard to review Daryl's books and tell you what it is I love about them without giving spoilers. So I will just say this book is fun, witty, emotional and funny. It had me laughing out loud a few times, and feeling the emotion of the friends as they navigate their way through life.
And Daryl leaves us with a 'To be continued' but I need more NOW
This novella is a nice quick read, and I couldn't put it down. I cant wait for Dean's Dare. Four books in this series are not going to be enough. I already know I will need more of these boys.
Wade's Workout, the second in the Boys and Toys Series by Daryl Banner, continues the journey with four friends Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garret. Told from each friends point of view, this book dives further into the relationship between Wade and Cayson, and Dean and Garret, and further elaborates on Garret's fettishes.
It is hard to review Daryl's books and tell you what it is I love about them without giving spoilers. So I will just say this book is fun, witty, emotional and funny. It had me laughing out loud a few times, and feeling the emotion of the friends as they navigate their way through life.
And Daryl leaves us with a 'To be continued' but I need more NOW
This novella is a nice quick read, and I couldn't put it down. I cant wait for Dean's Dare. Four books in this series are not going to be enough. I already know I will need more of these boys.

So Wade’s Workout continues nicely from where Caysen’s Catch left off. However it does nothing to dissuade me that this is a single book roughly chopped into four segments. While Wade and Caysen’s relationship continues to form the spine of the plot (awwwww!), the other characters receive shorter shrift. Garrett’s journey and character continues to be intriguing, and, honestly, I think it’s this character who has the most potential of the four to be developed in a genuinely interesting way, so I really wish we’d spent more time with him. I’m also really interested in Dean and his older hubby, Sam, but he is very much relegated to supportive BF in this book. It’s oddly like Will and Grace. The central characters are the least interesting. However, all this shouldn’t undermine my conclusion that this is a solid continuation of the Boys and Toys novellas and I’ll no doubt get on with the third straight away. (But given the choppy plotting so far, you’d be daft not to read them all together.)

This 4-story series should absolutely be read in order. Although a little longer than a traditional novella, I would consider all 4 books to be novellas which put together create a full book featuring an amazing group of friends, their adventures, the entanglements of life, and general life. I read all 4 paperbacks in 3 days. These stories are also in KU.
There are characters that I like more than others, some I could do without entirely, and some I want to know more about - should have a longer book actually.
I like this author's writing style and own his whole backlist prior to July 2019 (I have to work on getting the most recent stories onto his shelf).
I recommend this story, this series, and 100% this author.

The second installment in this serial book by Daryl Banner!
This book series is structured a bit different than usual: there’s 4 books, following the four MCs, but the stories of all characters do not end at the end of each book, but the stories of all the characters go on at the same time, with flashes of scenes following them all.
This second book continues to follow the four friends and as thing seem to move forward and evolve in some ways for Wade and Caysen, we also get to know more Garrett's kinks and internal turmoil and Dean's merry go luck ways.
Daryl Banner leaves us with another HFN and it's getting increasingly difficult to wait for the next two books!

There's dense, then obliviouis, then clueless, and then, there's Wade effing Lockhart.
I was having a momemt when Wade's Workout finished. It left me hanging bad!
There's so much going on. How can we be so oblivious to whats in front of our faces? And when you finally SEE, you can no longer unsee. It's funny how humans are...
I gave this novella a 3,5, not because I liked it any less than the previous one, but because I get annoyed with characters that so up in their heads, they can't notice what's going on around them. Wade is self centered and lives in cloud nine, even if he doesn't mean to...

Omfg! These boys could be on a Soap Opera. Caysen and Wade just need to open up their eyes and see what's in front of them. Well Caysen sees it but he's to chicken shit to go after what he wants. Garrett...lawd his boss was in the football uniform at Jock-Con!!! He gonna get his man soon enough. Kevin got scared and ran...but the truth is coming I feel it in my bones. Lol Dean gotta let his man know he's happy. He and Sam are great but they need to talk. I love all the boys and can't wait for the next installment..
