A different woman, a different bed, each and every night of the week.
Colt Roman is a hardened ex-SEAL. He may be missing his lower leg, but that doesn’t keep him from bedding any woman who looks his way. During the day he’s the good, upstanding son, running the family ranch.
But at night, screams of “Colt!” practically echo through town.
His latest target? Rose Elliot, the gorgeous new-in-town veterinarian, the girl with the shy smile, the knockout body, and the shadow of something dark in those big blue eyes. He’s had a thousand girls like her, and it should be easy to have one incredible night and move on -- but he can’t. Not from her.
Because Rose has a secret, tragic past - a past that’s chased her for years and a past that’s catching up.
Fast.
Demons resurface as things heat up between Colt and Rose -- a dangerous heat grows between them that threatens to engulf them both.
Can Colt handle Rose’s dark past? Or will she become just another notch in his belt?

A touching tale about two troubled souls who find each other in the small town Catahoula Creek. Don’t let the word touching fool you as there is quite a bit of action, suspense, terrifying danger, life-threatening incidents, family camaraderie, new friends found, heart-rending memories and sensuous steamy romance. You are sure to get some goosebumps, perhaps teary-eyed, but the heart-warming conclusion will certainly leave you smiling.
Colt Roman ex-Navy Seal received honors when discharged, but his service left him with a combative temper and a partially missing leg. He is still a much sought after bachelor with his buffed build and charismatic charm. Unfortunately, he is always getting into fist fights unable to control his temper. A fight at the bar the Rusty Nail has him doing community service for Dr. Rose Eliott the new Vet in town. Rose was assaulted and horrific nightmares of this event leave her with trust issues and guarded feelings. Rose is sexy, smart, quick-witted and trying hard to overcome her insecurities. Colt has newfound patience when it comes to Rose not knowing her issues. When Rose’s past comes crashing back into her life Colt will do anything to protect the woman who holds his heart.
The author has mixed reality with fantasy to give readers a compelling plot with fabulous dialogue and powerful vivid scene descriptions. A thrilling story that has emotional ups and downs but keeps you turning pages until the end. Rose and Colt are perfect together and their romance is filled with warmth, devotion, and fiery passion. The author does a wonderful job showing the emotional trauma that Rose and Colt suffered and how patience and love can heal. Rose’s courage makes her a most valiant hero in this story. This was a most gratifying read; relished it. If you treasure fantasy romances, this is an excellent book for your library. In the world of fantasy romances, the magic begins with the first thought to paper. {I received an advanced reader copy of this story; I voluntarily did this review}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.
4 Star Kindle Unlimited Read I tell you what, this was a darn pretty good read. However, with all the hints it added about its predecessor "Seals Bride" it drove me nuts not to know the back story. I'll never know it because for some reason, book 1 is the only book in the series thus far not on the Kindle Unlimited Program. Major bummer....
Speaking of a bummer.... I was so pissed at the male side characters and the way they treated the male lead Colt. After all this character was a military veteran that lost a limb serving our country and protecting not only the U.S., but other innocent victims that are unable to protect themselves.
When people fictitious character or real live persons treat our veterans so poorly it just make me angry. I'm honored that these men and women risked their lives to protect the lives of my parent, siblings, children, mates, extended family, and friends. They deserve nothing but respect.
When you see a veteran or activity military, pay for their bill, regardless where you are at and thank them for their service and protecting our freedom!
For honest review rose is a rape victim and and a veterinarian she moves to get away from her rapes when she meets Cole she faces her fears. Second book is of Katherine who comes home after her father's suicide and her sandal to walk right back into it with the love of her life rex. See their story. very good books.
I love Seal's, they are the more lethal than MC's(okay not jamie begley last riders) that's heaven, but a trio of hot steam seal brothers...and an actual storyline that is decent I just want the free epilogue that ties it together. Onto the next brother.
I was a little disappointed by this one. It wasn't bad - it just lacked a little something. Also, the editing lacked quite a bit. Chapter 11 had a complete repeat in it. I was reading along and all of the sudden it was deja vu.
Colt is the youngest Roman brother. He isn't quite able to shake it off when idiots start heckling him about his missing foot. Despite the fact that losing his foot was the result of his SEAL service, some of the local men feel it makes them more manly to ridicule Colt. His response lands him in trouble, with Sawyer arranging to keep him out of jail by promising community service helping out the new veterinarian. The new vet turns out to be Rose Elliot. a young woman with a tragedy of her own. Rose's past tragedy has a face - Jared Chalke - and he intends to continue inflicting his presence on Rose, even though she despises everything about him. Will Colt allow himself to care for one woman? Will Rose allow herself to move forward with Colt despite her previous hurt? What exactly is Jared up to?
This one was okay, but didn't really grab me by the heart. Maybe it will be different for you. Enjoy.
There were actually two books in one for this read. In the first - A Seal's Kiss - we meet Colt and Rose. He's a retired SEAL who runs his family's business with his brothers. She is a newly graduated veterinarian who just came to town. In a cruel twist of fate, the unscrupulous developer who wants to buy us their town also happens to be the man who attacked Rose on year ago. A quick read, we see Rose face her fears and Colt reach inside himself to really care for someone else. Unfortunately, we don't have a whole lot of character development to see how they really got there. The suspense element is what make this really interesting.
The second book focus of Kit and Rex. He's a prince and she a distant royal connection whose family was disgraced. Their high school romance ended when she disappeared. They reconnect 5 years later when she returns home. We see them deal with pressure from the royal family, crazy parents, creepy exes (her's) and old hurts to come out stronger.
Both stories were good, but could have been stronger if more fully developed.
2.5 stars, rounded up to 3. It was better in the sense that things made more sense than book 1. Still had some typos though.
Rose was raped and can’t seem to get past it especially since the rapist is free because the sheriff is dirty. At first, the author blurb made it seem like Colt’s confidence and his leg was going to be a more central issue in this book. But it wasn’t at all. It’s mentioned, but Colt didn’t dwell and it isn’t brought up much except in reference to the assholes who rag on Colt because of it. So the blurb should be fixed.
Anyway, Colt’s patience with Rose was pretty amazing. He was perfect in how he handled it all. Jared and the sheriff were disgusting, and catching them was much too easy considering, but I’m not mad about the resolution being swift. Though I would’ve liked to know what happened - were they all killed? Arrested?
But overall I liked the fast pace and easiness of this story. And I feel like the epilogue should’ve been included without having to subscribe, it’s not worth it to me to subscribe.
Colt lost his foot in war now two years later he is still struggling but he is getting there. One night he ends up getting in a fight with some local rednecks who think its funny laughing at his missing foot. Colt being all alpha decided to teach them a lesson only resulting in him having to do some community service. He goes help out the new vet in town Rose, but when he sees her he knows she is the most beautiful girl he has seen. Rose is new to town after being raped she needs to get away and decided on this small town but it is still close to home where things went bad. Colt and Rose meet and she is still weary of men but Colt is patient and learns for her to trust him. When the past is coming around she doesn't know how to feel but Colt is there for here to protect her. I liked that Colt was patient with her and he knew something happened to her so he learned to be friends with her.
I struggle giving this book 3 stars. First and foremost I loved the story. There is just something about those Roman boys that I love! It wasn't all about the lust and sex. It was about facing fears, dealing with disabilities and love. Very refreshing. However, that being said I was very disappointed in the editing. I read a few reviews before writing this to see if anyone else had the same flaws mine had. I also had 3 chapters that repeated themselves. The biggest complaint though is the other reviews were left back in October of 2016, which is when I purchased my book. Here it is almost a year later and the problems haven't been fixed. I double checked my account for updates, there were none. I'm disappointed because I've loved every Vivian Wood book I've read and I'm looking forward to reading Walker's story! I just hope it does not have editorial issues.
After suffering an assault, Rose is determined to put it behind her and focus on her veterinary career only. Hopping from one bed to another is how Colt Roman deals with the tragedies he has suffered. Both are instantly drawn to each other, but both her own and Colt's past make Rose leary. Will Rose be able to overcome her past to give Colt a chance? Will Colt be able to protect Rose when her past comes back to haunt them?
LOVED Colt. Having read all three of the books in this series now, I have to say I absolutely LOVED Colt. I loved how he was patient with Rose, despite his past temper. Love when Rose finally decided to give it her all and not let her past hold her back! Great book and cannot wait for more from this author!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh the Roman brothers, don't you just love them. First there was Sawyer, so good but now reading about Colt was even better. Lots of drama, action and romance plus hot passionate moments. Colt is like a troubled soul after his accident as a Seal. Coping day to day with his injuries, dealing with narrow minded people and then all of a sudden meeting the most sexiest woman ever...the new vet Rose Elliot. Rose is a warm loving woman but has a terrible secret. Meeting Colt will change her life and he will literally save her from things you can't imagine. A fast paced story and all the drama from family issues. All great stuff. Loved it.
I received SEAL's Kiss as a review copy and this is my freely given review. SEAL's Kiss is Colt Roman's story. He is they youngest brother of the Roman family and one of three SEALS He has been medically discharged from the SEALs and knows that Louisiana is home but he doesn't plan on settling down anytime soon. That is not until he lays eyes on the new lady in town. Rose Elliot is the new veterinarian in town. She has a lot going on in her life and Colt's player life is not something that she's interested in getting mixed up in no matter how hot he is! Can these two damaged souls help heal each other to find their HEA?
Cole is the family's bad boy and she's the small towns new vet. He's been in one too many bar fights and the friendly judge sentences him to community service helping her clean up the old vets clinic. Once he meets her, he has zero problem with doing any odd jobs she needs done. But she's holding something back and he can't seem to get through to her. After some ups and downs, they do end up together and there are no more secrets. The thing that really bothered me is they jumped in bed several times with no mention of protection. That's a detail I look for in every story.
this is a great read. i love the characters. this is a book with no cliff and has a HEA. i highly reccomend it. Our hero is a navy seal who lost from his shin down while he was in the service. He meets the new woman in town and falls madly in love after being put on community service to fix the new Vet hospital for her. this does have a little action in it and some hot scenes you wont be dissapointed.
Colt and Rose. This is the second book of the series. Though it is a standalone I suggest that you read the first book Sawyer and Remy. I truly enjoyed reading this book and it kept me entertained until the last page. This is my kind of gendre Cowboys and seals. Looking forward to book 3 .
The storyline is good as are character development s. I am not sure if it was just my book, but while finishing a chapter it would start over again. Very odd, but happened four times. Loved the hero and heroine in this story. They compliment each other well.
I just loved Colt and Rose!! Colt helped Rose heal and learn to love after the traumatic even she had to over come but she did with Cole's help and love. I would recommend this book to anyone!
Absolutely fabulous. I seriously read this straight through to the end. Didn’t, couldn’t put it down. Seal’s Touch hopefully begins tomorrow. Anxious to see where Colt & Rose are at. Plus Walker is the last single Roman son. I wonder for how long....
I really liked this one. Good story, lot's of good characters. This is about the youngest brother, Colt, and the new vet. She has a dark past. The story is how the two get past both of their issues. Read and enjoy.
This a well written story. I enjoyed the characters. I encourage everyone to give this one a chance. I enjoy Vivian Wood's book and they are worth your time and effort. This one falls in the category of one you should read.
A military romance with not too many editing errors. The characters had interesting backgrounds. The female lead's background of abuse might be concerning for some.
I really enjoy theses books, I especially like how she interlinks the story with the previous books. Keeping the story of his brothers going and how their lives are evolving.
Great storyline , however very poor editing. I also downloaded the news letter to get the extended epilogue about Colt and rose and I cannot download it
