LOVE the story! Grammatical errors are driving me nuts!
Really into this series and will continue to read it. My only complaint is there are a lot of typos and grammatical errors. Lack of punctuation, words missing in one or two places, and several others minor things. Nothing that affects the overall story but just enough that it causes you to have to back track and reread a few lines to make sure you didn’t just jumble something in your mind.

Although Henley’s got Connor all messed up, he still doesn’t come unhinged quite like Patrick did in the first book (at least not yet?) - but Henley needs to get it together!
My only complaints about these books: so far, every single one of them have had grammatical errors like crazy. There are words missing from sentences and incorrect tenses. It’s not a big deal, I can read through them and enjoy just fine - but man, whoever proofread these books before they were published missed a lot of stuff.
Also, I really don’t like the covers. I know that’s insignificant in the grand scheme of things and the whole "Don't judge a book by its cover" thing, but I just think they could have been better. #sorrynotsorry

Sweet torture
Loved this story!! I wish the two characters would just get out of their own ways so they can be together. The tension between the two of them is so thick but you can’t help but hold on. Hoping they get together and make each other happy like you know they can....on to the next book to continue the story!

My thoughts on books 3+4 in the Gilroy Clan series: I liked this duet much better than the first in the series. This duet needs a lot of editing, but I overall enjoyed the story line and characters. The writing style itself I really like, but the books are way too drawn out IMO. I did enjoy this though and will continue with the series.

Intense
Sometimes intentions are good but timing is bad. I'd like to think Connor did his best to preserve his love to his special someone(Henley). Circumstances, their young minds and fate has a different plan. Fast forward they finally reunited the struggle continues....interesting plot....Will read the next book. Thank you!

Addicted to these novels! I’ve burned through 3 now. There are some grammatical errors but if you’re looking for a compulsive 🌶️ read these are it!

Hopeful friends to lovers?
Connor is a really complicated guy. I feel sad for him where I just want to wrap him in a hug but, then I want to shake him for being so stubborn! This book left me feeling a little frustrated to be honest. The characters in these stories are incapable of telling the truth on how they feel… like ever. For every circumstance (until the end of the story) so much heartbreak in every interaction, I feel like there were good opportunities in each book to be honest and gain some closure for things that happened in the past and they just weren’t (every time). While I am curious and interested for book 4 I’m really hoping to see some honest character growth. Also, points for Henley for being an incredibly loyal friend!

Conner. Gilroy.

Henley is pissing me off. I’m worried as to how I’m sensing a pattern 3 books in. I love the way the author writes MMCs but I really am not loving the way FMCs are portrayed.
Cari in book 1 was fine but she got worse in book 2. High school flashback Henley is bad and adult Henley is only slightly better.

I love this book. Conner and Henley are amazing characters. The conflict between them is astounding. Henley scarred by her past and Conner trying to win her heart. I love the story all together❤❤

OMG
I both hated and loved this story. Mostly because I just wanted to shake the both of them for being stupid and ruing things that could be so easy if they just said how they felt. I love Connor. He is brilliant and the picture of don’t judge a book by its cover. Henley let her mother bully her into being someone she isn’t so she could snag her rich husband(her stepdad). And has instilled all these rules for how a lady should act. Which I think is total BS personally. She is a horrible mother. Henley and Connor have been in love with each other since high school and Henley’s aversion to self acceptance and horrible self esteem steam rolled their relationship. Where she hid the fact that they were together making Conor feel like a dirty secret not good enough for her or anyone to know about. Fast forward 8 years and she comes home, with a crazy plan and runs into the new not improved version of our mad genius Connor.

Oh my goodness
I think the author has it set up to where the fans hate the heriones. Honestly Cari annoys me and I simply hate Henley. I now have a perfect understanding of Connor and why he is the way he is, but Henley? You leave town, leaving everyone you love heartbroken, then come back and say I'm just using connor to get what I want. You're 25 years old and you let your mom pretty much run your life. No backbone what so ever, I've read girls in dark romances, bully romances with stronger backbones than her. I had such high hopes for Henley, but I'm tessa in this one I stand with connor

How heartbreaking is this book!!! Conner the life and soul of the party able to pick up a woman with a single smile.....who knew he was hanging on to so much hurt and hatred.
This book explains so much. Conner has never felt truly completely accepted and seen for who he was accept from Henley but even she broke his heart.
I can't quite understand Henley, I know everyone struggles at opening up but she is a whole other level.
Absolutely can't wait to see what happens next Conner deserves happiness more that most I really hope he gets what he needs.

I have been reading A LOT of romance novels this month, including the first two books in this series. While Patrick and Cari made me swoon, they are nothing compared to Henley and Conner. While it's got predictable setup and plot (and I don't mean that in a bad way, I like knowing what's coming and seeing how an author makes it their own), it had me laughing, gasping, cringing, and at a few points, tearing up. I highly recommend this one, and it can be read without reading the first two in the series (although I recommend those too!) I'm jumping into Conquering Conner right now...

Henley couldn't wouldn't believe that Connor could have feelings for her because she wasn't Like all the other girls and her mother cemented all her insecurities by taking her away to make her a mini me.
Felt like whole book took so long to get started when it finished glad I'm kindle unlimited to get the next instalment

The story was not what I was expecting...
I guess I don't understand why you'd be crushing on a girl that you secretly dated when you were 16 and now you're 26. Get over it...move on. Henley mom and her not dating a neighborhood boy.... I mean, you're also in the neighborhood.
Declans whole attitude is a mystery.... Because the girl his brother liked as a teen is a 4 to you. But you're in college???? That's just weird!
Connor knows who he is.... But does he?
For me the story made no sense, had several contradictions and was totally predictable!

Can't get enough of the Gilroy Clan!!!!!
I never usually take the time to do book reviews, I had to this time! I can not put these books down and as soon as I'm done I have to get the next one right away! I love this crazy mixed up Irish family! They pull you in and you can't wait to see what there going to do next! I knew Conners book was going to be explosive and you have not let me down!!Keep them coming with the Gilroy Clan, love it!!!!!!!

All the feels!
I have been waiting to get a hold of Conners book!!! Omg I love him!!! I love getting to read about him and Henley's past so we know what really happened between them! What I didn't realize was how much Con really loved her all those years ago! I thought he was just a man whore just because...but that's not really why he's the way he is!!! Yes this book ends on a sorta cliffy, but I know it's gonna be so worth it!!!

I am going to type a quick review so I can immediately start the next book. I've been wanting to read Connor's story since the last book when he told Cari everything went to hell... I can not wait to start the next one. Happy reading yall.
Quick side note there are grammatical errors and spelling where you can tell the author was typing fast. It doesn't take from the story though.

Wow!
I really enjoyed this book. I was very intrigued by Connor in the first book of the series. I think the writer does a great job colliding what happened in the past with what happens in the present. I’m not annoyed with the back and forth. It actually helps the story evolve better. I love the chemistry between them. Look forward to Ryan’s story as well. I’m thinking he’s going to end up with Grace, Cari’s sister.

As good as Patrick and Cari’s story so far.. not as dark as Patrick or the rest of the crap Cari went through. But it’s still the first book you never know.. This book was very good! I tore thru it... just to see that it had a second book. That's okay, cuz it really needs it. These characters are so deep and really needed the time to fully explain their story. They drive me nuts with how messed up they are... it's hurts so bad so good... but it's very realistic in that way. Totally agree with the grammatical errors... just have to learn to overlook those.

oh Conner…
My heart breaks for these two, two teenagers hopelessly in love with all things against them. Too in love to see the other one. I just want them to make up and see each other! This cliffhanger, ugh! But so far, I love this series. I love that we get to see into the past of Henley and Conners relationship. I love the dual POV of seeing how troubled Conner is in his own mind.

Debating on Henley (like or not like)
What can I say about this book?, But that I like it so much. Megyn Ward has me all roller coaster with my emotions.
I don't know if I like Henley or not, still debating if the way she's been is reasonable. Love Conner.

Heartbreaking
I was so excited to get to Conner’s story. I desperately wanted to know how he turned into such a man whore. Henley, is the heartbreaking reason he turned into such a mindless, not caring, off putting man whore. This is the best first book I’ve read in a long time. I hope the second is just as good, well, that’s a lie, I hope it’s better

Oh this story is so heart wrenching. When Henley and Conner reunite after eight years- the feeling are there but they both are just too stubborn to show them for each other. The push and pull of these two is excruciating and we just crave the happiness that we hope they will finally find. On to the next….Conquering Conner.

WOW!!
This book, as amazing as it is, is also heartbreaking. Definitely had me wanting to slap a few characters and choke the mom. With all that said, this book is a must read along with the rest of the series!! It's nice in a way to read a book that's not all hearts and rainbows. Thank goodness theres another book about Conner and Henley though, wink wink.

Good book
Although this one is exactly like the first where bothering characters don't communicate their actual feelings and they are back and forth with them it was nice to see why con is they way he is and what caused it getting the background. I hope hen doesn't go through with it and her friend fi ds a way to come out and not make her loose 5 years.
