Taming Lilith: The Narcissist Seduction

Rate this book
Esoteric writer Laura Cone takes an in-depth look at Lilith -- the nymph in mythology and triple goddess in astrology. Who is the goddess of seduction existing in our subconscious minds? Is Lilith the mother of narcissists who use sex to ensnare their prey? Laura examines Lilith's connection to Pluto and her role as the Queen of witches. Laura suggests people in ancient times used mythology to explain selfish and sexually wild people as well as the narcotic properties of plants all associated with Narcissus and Lilith (daffodils, poppies and lily). She explains how to see the markers for narcissism in an astrological chart as well as how to tame the Whore of Babylon.

Mark Urso did the narration for this book on audible. It was one of the best ones I've heard on the actual mythology of Lilith and how it relates to narcissism. Mark's narrating is really upbeat and easy to listen to. This book was original. It delves a lot further than I expected into the brain chemistry of attraction.

I recommend this book for psychology professors who want to catch their students' attention. A very different take on narcissism with interesting connections to mythology. I read a lot of Laura Cone's books on narcissism and personality typing. Very much a self-help book for people who don't realize the power of sex to freeze rational thinking.
